i dnt think she really grills him..she asks questions to all the contestants but qazi just never gives a straight answer...always tryin 2 attract attention

Yes, Rex said that Qazi's hair stinks...maybe it stinks because he puts too much gel in it! Even perfume or cologne can 'stink'! But why did Qazi have to call Rex 'mota' on stage during the shaadi gala? Wasn't that embarassing for Rex, being called fat in front of the audience...his mother was present there as well. I'm sure the comment hurt Rex.

As for Mandira, she's like that...she questioned Mona on her relationship with Anubhav, she asked Shamit why the faculty hasn't picked him etc. She's the Queen of Questions.
