6. The next question, Ramani comes after I relate a story to you. Here ges the story:
There is a river with a bridge over it, and a WIFE and her HUSBAND live in a house on one side. The WIFE has a LOVER who lives on the other side. The only way to get across the river is to walk across the bridge or ask the BOATMAN to take you.
The HUSBAND has to go on an overnight business trip in a faraway town.. The WIFE pleads with him to take her with him. She knows if he doesn't she'll be unfaithful to him. The HUSBAND absolutely refuses to take her because she will only be in the way of his important business. So the husband goes alone.
That night the WIFE goes over the bridge & stays with her LOVER. Dawn is almost up when the WIFE leaves because she must be back home before her HUSBAND returns. She starts across the bridge but sees an ASSASSIN waiting for her on the other side. She knows if she tries to cross, he will murder her. In terror, she runs up the side of the river and asks the BOATMAN to take her across the river, but he wants half-a-crown. She has no money, so he refuses to take her.
The WIFE runs back to the LOVER'S house & explains her predicament and asks him for the half-a-crown to pay the BOATMAN. The LOVER refuses, telling her it's her own fault for getting into this situation. As dawn comes up the WIFE is nearly out of her mind & decides to dash across the bridge. When she comes face to face with the ASSASSIN, he takes a large knife and stabs her until she is dead.
Here comes the question. Given the five characters in the story, i.e. WIFE, HUSBAND, LOVER, BOATMAN and ASSASSIN, tell us names of the five characters in the order in which you think they were most responsible for the WIFE'S death.
7. Here comes the next one:
Imagine that are walking to your boyfriend's house...There are two roads to get there. One is a straight path which takes you there quickly, but is very plain and boring. The other is curvy and full of wonderful sights on the way, but takes quite a while to reach your loved one's house.
a) Which path do you choose - long or short?
On the way, you see two rose bushes. One is full of white roses. One is full of red roses. You decide to pick 20 roses for your boyfriend.
b) What color combination do you choose? (Any combination including all one color is fine)
You finally get to your boyfriend's house. You ring the bell and the servant answers. You can ask the servant to please call your loved one, or you may go call him yourself.
c) Which action do you take? - ask the servant to call him, or do it yourself
Now, you go up to your boyfriends room. No one is there. You can leave the roses by the windowsill, or on the bed.
d) Where do you put the roses? - bed or windowsill
Later, its time for bed. You and your loved one go to sleep, in separate rooms. You wake up in the morning, and go to your boyfriend's room to check up on him. You enter the room:
e) Is he awake or sleeping?
It's time to go home now, and you start to head back. You can take either road home now: The plain, boring one thats gets you home fast; or the curvy, sight-filled road that you can just casually take your time with.
f) Which road do you choose? Short or long?
The next question:
8. If your friend started dating someone you really disliked and asked you what you thought about their relationship, what would you do?
a) Be up front and honest about what you think
b) Try to be tactful - but still be truthful about what you think
c) Try not to hurt their feelings, changing the subject if necessary
d) Avoid hurting their feelings, telling a "white lie" if necessary
9. You're stuck on a bus for 6 hours and are bored out of your skull. What do you do to amuse yourself?
10. Which 'slogan T-shirt' would you most likely wear -if you HAD to wear one that is?
a) Growing old is mandatory. Growing up is optional.
b) I'm really easy to get along with once people learn to worship me.
c) I'm with stupid company!
