Why did FG contestants receive so much adulation? From the entertainment field, why should some newcomers receive levels of enthusiasm that even super stars don't get? Obviously, the answer does not lie with the participants. The answer must be with us the fans...who made them hero from zero. The fans and the media combined to make the FG contestants into stars......agree or disagree! Your views & comments! 😊

I had put this qs. in Saks qs. post but only maddy answered so thought of putting it for you all here.😃

i agree that its the fans who make the stars but i don't agree that u can make a star out of a person who is a total zero.you said why some of the new comers get more adulation than the rest because they r a cut above the ordinary.
if we take the example of FG Qazi stood out from the crowd from day one because he had a certain something in him.Rupu, arijit and shamit were all a cut above the ordinary from day one.that is why they r all stars today.

Bulls eye Mink ... I totally agree with you ... Whatever ANY star is today, is only because of his/her fans' overwhelming love and support ...

Ruppu and Qazi in that sense are highly indebted to us ... Coz we've given them such a huge platform to show their talent and experience a totally new world ...

Not only them .. I am sure another star is also in the making ... Arijit Singh ... I am sure he is going have an album out soon ...

But one thing that is a huge contribution to all of the above is their own hard work ... Day and night they work so hard to put up shows, promote their album, satisfy all their fans' needs -- which are never ending ...

So kudos to them and us too .. 😃

I am looking for somebody from any reality show, who can beat Qazi in popularity. If we combine all musical shows Qazi is the most popular singer. Even after 45 days of final round of FG people still want to talk about Qazi.

First a clarification.....By Zero I meant UNKNOWN! šŸ˜‰ 😊 FG was the phenomenon that has made pop stars out of complete unknowns......This is what I wanted to express by the statement, "Zero to hero!" Why do these unknowns resonate so loudly with the Indian public? Regular guys transferred into Indian idols or Fame jodi are now superstars basking in the spotlight, taking nothing for granted!

Vishesh, I liked your point of view i also agree on some & disagree on some will answer in a bit.

Here I go with my opinion......

Take a stage full of young, star-struck performers who are guided by a tem of experts, add three critical judges, behind the scene gossip and a nation of screaming fans, and what do you get? "Fame gurukul," a television sensation and ratings bonanza! Here everything is custom crafted, which it has to be......right! šŸ˜‰

The vastly popular FG has ended, so we can now calmly talk about FG & our fav. šŸ˜‰ People were so touchy & emotionally attached to their fav that they were at daggers drawn. Well, now that you gave Kishore Kumar's ex, he was a true IDOL a wonderful singer & people of all generations are his fans & love & enjoy his songs! Yes, he was a legend but these are just kids entering music industry. My point is…….Idols and fans have had a symbiotic relationship, but it was asymmetrical earlier. The idols could dictate the emotional moods of the fans, but the fans could only offer some support in return. Suddenly, the fans owned the power and they directly and indirectly determined the fate of their favorite. FG fans had unprecedented power (voting) and this stimulated their unprecedented enthusiasm to participate. This feeling of having the power to affect the outcome without worrying about any consequences was very cool, and probably the greatest enjoyment & dream come true for the fans! Therefore, the enthusiasm of the fans never waned and in fact increased as the competition continued. So all sorts of fan alliances emerged everywhere, to form a structure that had all the components! Under this purposeful and organized force, the enthusiasm for FG surpassed those for established stars!

The original purpose of this entertainment program was to let the masses enjoy themselves. It was a great success for the media to bring so much enjoyment to the people.

Anyway, I'll be back with more later. I have just returned fr india & all I heard there was Tales of FG so I'm loaded right now have to share it with you all. Mujhe tho abhi thora aur jhelna he padega. šŸ˜› šŸ˜‰ šŸ˜†
