I really appreciate these TV stars for letting themselves be ridiculed by the public for a very noble cause👏 because they did'nt need to do it they r already celebrities. But I agree that Sony should have done more auditioning and chosen better singers.

omg! dont make fun of her! HOW MANY OF YOU GUYS CAN SING?!?!? i mean these people have never sung in there whole intire life, and all of a sudden they come on a stage to sing infront of basically the whole world and infront of indian best music writer and female singer! dont make fun of someone who is trying there best to make poeple who are about to die to forfill there last dreams! they dont get anything in return! and why should they have a audition for this? can u image how hard it is to find stars to take a brake for one whole month to singing?!??! they dont get anything, all they want is that they get votes for the money from the votes is donated! please dont make fun of someone who is trying to make a difference for a wonderful reason! and for the record, i am from los angeles, and i am a volunteer for the make a wish foundation, thank you

Hi Arif,

I appreciate your sentiments and I agree, no one should be ridiculed beyond the limits of human decency. Yes, I do understand and respect the fact that these stars are doing it for charity . But I wanna make a couple of points:

1. There are other ways to collect money for the Make a Wish Foundation. Firstly, Sony didn't need to do a music show. There are many other ways to contribute to a cause. They cudve done a dance show like nach baliye or sumthing else. I'm not saying dancing is easy or anything, but these celebs being good performers couldve done a decent job, perhaps better than trying to sing. And people would've watched something like that cos it wudve been watchable, and they wudve sent votes and the cause of Make a Wish wudnt have suffered the way it did by the Celeb FG flopping so badly. The point is, if u wanna put a show on TV, u have to make it watchable. Frankly, a lot of people have a heart and would wanna contribute through voting, but if Sony really wanted to reach out it went terribly wrong with the concept of a show that is insufferable to watch. U may say, fine don't watch it if u don't like it, but then if ppl don't watch it, how is Make a Wish going to benefit? Look at the practical side of things.

2. If they HAD to have a music show, they could've come up with the Dus ke Dus idea much before. At least all those ppl can sing, and people WILL vote cos they are so popular. The votes will pour in in far huger numbers than they did for the celebs. Sony has learnt its lesson. Why else are they ending Celeb Fg 2 weeks early?

2. Yes, these ppl on Celeb FG have taken out a lot of time but if you'll notice and if you've read the articles that have been posted on this site from time to time, these are not those sorta 'celebs'. They are those TV stars who do NOT have hectic schedules, are not doing too much work, so that they cud do this. Its not like Tulsi, Parvati or Jassi are here. Perhaps if they were, the show wudve got many more viewers cos they are actual celebs, though I doubt they can sing either. Sony shudve given this sum thought.

P.S. And to respond to ur ques, yes, I can sing! Nothing brilliant, but passable. lol. Therefore, while i am not being harsh on any of the contestants, Ido think this show shudve done sum justice to the concept of 'sur' to get ppl to watch it. I have myself volunteered for several causes, and I would be delighted to see a TV show really making a difference. But Celeb FG was just not the answer.

omg, wow, i am touched? i cant believe someone took so much time to comment back to my comment? when i read my comment again it sounded rude, but all i wanted to say was dont make fun of poeople, are have the guts to do something huge! and yeah i mean i am human. i completely agree with you! i mean if they did not sing bad then the ratings would be a bit low? cuase who wants to watch a show of good singers and acters?! but i did not know that the show ended two weeks before! WOW! for the unn 10 ka 10? which still i dont understand that concept. lol. thats a different story, uh i sucK! in LA we are like late in everything! but thanks!

Chill, chill. 😊 I didn't take offence, and u weren't rude. In fact I rather like responding to posts from ppl like you, who have a conscience. 👍🏼 I was just disagreeing with ya cos I really think Make a Wish deserves better than this silly show.
