Cameras deliberately stayed away.........

After the time when most people felt that Arpita looked cheap - in her Mungda Mungda performance.....this time the camera's it seemed deliberately moved away - every time there was a possibility of a glimpse of her back......completely bare (except for a string........and the sheer chiffon top).......

It stands without doubt - that poor Arpita is at a stage where she will go to any lengths to get there................

she dosent hv a chance in the top 2

top 3 also looks difficult 4 her..

But why was she so scarcely clothed?shes not doing an item number for Gods sake!!!!!!!!!!!!

Problem is that she may not get a break in the industry either - judging from the cold and unhappy reaction of industry stalwarts like Javed Akhtar and Shankar....

She only got a "break" from Himmesh Reshammiya - attached to ZEE in a big way - in the 2 years she has been camping in Mumbai.

I feel the need to step in and defend Arpita after staying mum for the longest time(about this topic in particular); I have no clue why these series of attacks on this girl-fortunately for her, she has an excellent figure (probably the only contestant on FGwho can claim that) and she can carry herself well in these contemprary designs; Need I remind you that all the outfits displayed on the stage are the courtesy of advertisers who are trying to promote the latest styles- luckily there is one contestant who is suitable to wear and show off these designs- The reason RR is not wearing these clothes is because she doesn't have the luxury of doing so-I don't mean it negatively; how many of us wouldn't want to wear these beautifully designed outfits? Not everyone is blessed with (or works ) at a good figure;Please don't confuse indecent clothing with sensuous dressing.

i dont like arpita at all.....but i kinda like her outfits.....yeah da mungda outfit was bad...but da blue dress she wore in da last gala was kinda gud.....i dont think she dresses in a cheap way

Thanks! I had started doubting my own choice in dressing( though I have neve been accused of poor taste in clothing;quite the opposite,actually.

im sorry malinn buh i dun think arpita looked like a "bar girl" in any episode.. im not a fan of hers at all... buh i wont stand by calling her this.. this is stardom...where ppl dres "cheaper" than her .. thas if u think she dresses cheap...i dun see her to dress cheap.. she is obviously not conservative...n thas fine its not a place to be conservative to great lengths.. picking on her dressing is clearly wrong bc i dun see controversies on actresses who wear practically nothing.. ppl defend that with... it goes with the script.. well to b a pop star she has be in style... n she looks great...

Moreover, it is my honest opinion that Arpita does show a lot of skin that does not go with her personality.

Bipasha was wearing a short backless dress - but she looked lovely and she could carry it off.......Arpita simply cannot carry of these modern clothes - she may have the figure....but she doesn't have the style....

You will also note that gradual change in her dressing style.....from conservative to flashy........

Also as a rule, the major Indian Public will ALWAYS choose a demure girl over a Smart modern girl....can't dispute that.....

I don't agree that the two characterisitics you described ,Malinn,are mutually exclusive of each other.A girl can and should project a demure, traditional look when appropriate and a smart, modern look when the situation warrants. She should have the ability to do this. And the viewer should be able to see the grace in both and not have a narrow vision,stereotyping a person in one role over the other.Of the two contestants remaining, one undisputedly has both these qualities(we have seen her in the shaadi round/patriotic round vs. some of the others-like the Ranbhoomi round in Ahmedabad and then the traditional Gujarati clothes. Rupu cannot show this versatility -so she is typecast as a demure girl? This is not an attack or an attempt to glorify Arpita. I just don't understand the inability of the Indian male to appreciate this ability in a girl and respect it duly.
