I dont agree abt Anjali being shown as a superwoman. A bright student from Jaipur can also be proficient in sports, she can be agile and energetic and talented in adventure sports.
In one of the earlier scenes, Anjali chased down a guy who was harassing Maithili, she jumped on a hand cart, catapulted herself over a locked gate and caught the offender, then she beat him up!
That scene set the stage for showing Anjali's physical prowess.
Besides we forget that Anjali's dad was an expert mountaineer and he had climbed many peaks before he got injured in a war. Like children inherit their talent and abilities from their parents, maybe Anjali also inherited her dad's mountaineering skill?
If a son can take after the father, why not the daughter? If a son can follow in his dad's footsteps, why not a daughter? That is the basic concept of this show, isnt it?
Also its not that rare for solo climbers to ascend to Mt Everest. There have been prior examples of solo climbers, according to google searches. Of course those solo climbers were experienced mountaineers who had climbed other peaks before.
But even completely inexperienced people have climbed Mt Everest with the help of paid guides.
Like Arjun had once mentioned, Everest is not that difficult to summit, Kanchenjunga and Nanda Devi are much more dangerous! That is a fact. Hundreds of people have climbed Everest but very few have succeeded in climbing the latter two peaks.
Anjali has a natural talent. Shes going ahead with sheer determination and courage, its foolhardy and extremely dangerous but its her mission and she has set out to do it! Its a karengey ya marengey mission for her. Its that desperation that is helping her succeed where even a sherpa has failed.
In all fictional shows is there is some suspension of disbelief and we have to give some leeway for the main character to have that extra something that makes them special...even if the protagonist is a girl. 😊
