Regarding Karna's lie to Parshuram, I want to add one more point. MB says that a true Brahmin should have 7 virtues among which truth is first. When Parshuram knew that Karna did not have that virtue, he was bound to believe him as a non-brahmin. I guess only true Brahmins having those virtues could keep brahmastra, not only Brahmins by birth. Remember that Arjun never lied. So he deserved brahmastra but not Karna.

Loved Vyasa's full speech on Bheem 👏 Vaayu jaisa pavitra, karmaparayanata ki pratimaa and loved the Bheem-Arjun scene in flashback. This episode is a treat for Pandava fans!

@Parshuram & Drona: I have never really understood why a guru MUST accept a person as his student just because the student wants to study under him. Same thing with the weapons too. Karna thinks he deserves to know Bramhastra vidya. Karna thinks he deserves a teacher like Parshuam. But if the teacher doesn't agree why is he wrong? (wrt Chitragupta chastising Parshuram & Drona for not doing the duty of a teacher)The teachers have got all their weapons after a lot of study, hard work & dedication. Aren't they within their rights to refuse to give them to a person whom they consider unfit? Does it make them less noble? Yes, probably. Does it make them wrong & give the pupil a right to deceive the guru? Absolutely not!

@Lannister
For teachers to be respected as Gods, teaching has to be considered a calling. If it is vyaapar like any other service, then teachers are vyaapaaris and lying to them can be filed away under business strategy.

It cannot be both ways.

Let me stress here. I am not a Karna fan. But there are sins and there are errors and there are tactics of business / politics. All of it cannot be lumped together under one big umbrella of sin.

I repeat, Karna's sin was DS. Lac garh was of course a sin, but also a war strategy of the lukewarm sort. Killing the enemy with minimum collateral damage. Running away from the Gandharvas was initially stupid and then cowardly, not a sin. Abhi was part of the war.

ok, so chitragupt is shown reprimanding parshuram for karna..whoaa
do these serial makers know., parshuram is an avtaar of vishnu?
the real chitragupt would have his hands and legs tremble, just by hearing the name of parshuram..let alone question him .

Anu di, I have said that suggesting to attack vanavasi Pandavas was a sin. And suggesting ghosha yatra for a show-off was a sin IMHO. I did not say that running away from war was his sin. That was a pure cowardice act. Other than that, I personally cannot forgive him for disagreeing with peace proposal.
