(Please correct me if I have added any extra point)

But now from our discussions it appears that the many things are interpolations...
And Karna probably did not ask Draupadi to choose another husband...bcoz Draupadi never mentions it.
The namecalling probably meant something else...

Then wat exactly did Karna do for which he apologized to Lord Krishna?
Draupadi does mention Karna in her laments...but she doesnt say wat exactly he had said...

So, my question is...wat was Karna's exact role in the Dyut Sabha?
I dont believe he was completely silent or was opposing to it...From wat I have understood, Karna always spoke up when he felt he had to...So wat do u all think was Karna's exact role or words on that day?

This is a question from a genuine doubt that has arisen from my mind...A genuine answer devoid of sarcasm would be appreciated... 😳

Yes.Karna did laugh when Draupadi was brought to the hall. He was not that saint. But what unclear is at whom he laughed & what did he do after laughing.

Sorry for just barging in on ur discussion this way guys but I just watched an episode of dharmakshetra. This time dronacharya was being questioned. Towards the end when he is thinking about his death a voiceover tells us that he was cursed by saraswati. Who was this saraswati? Is it the Goddess saraswati or someone else? And what was the curse?

Amrita.. u got it wrong.. name calling is considered interpolation.. but take other husband is not.. something in the lines of Krishna giving 'life' to the widowed patnis of Narakasura I think.. I am sure she mentioned that she is hurt by the way Karna laughed at her mockingly..

@The.Lannister - It is from folklore that Drona was cursed by Saraswati for his behaviour towards Karna & Ekalavya. Saraswati Devi cursed him that he will be killed unarmed & humiliated by his own student, is what I read.

Diala-Ur theory is plausible...Karna had nothing against Draupadi...but he was certainly laughing n enjoying the downfall of the Pandavas...n he probably said that 'Take another husband' in a different sense than it is implied...
In a way, his anguish was more towards the Ps n if he didnt take part at Swamvar at all, he had no reason to hold any grudge against Draupadi...n he had indeed said a few words in her favour twice...
In fact a while ago, I was thinking the same..maybe that is y he never mentions Draupadi while apologizing...
