Part 1

Someone is walking up behind Nihaal with a stick in their hand and then wham! They hit Nihaal on the back of his head and Nihaal falls to the ground clutching his head and his eyes widen as he sees his killer and then he blacks out.

B: Nihaal Chachu! Nihaal Chachu aap kaha ho? Nihaal Chachu!

Baldev walks into the godown and sees Nihaal lying there. He rushes over to him.

B: NIHAAL CHACHU!

Baldev takes Nihaal's head in his lap and shakes him to try and wake him up but in the process he gets Nihaal's blood all over himself.

Baldev is thoroughly shaken to find no pulse for Nihaal so as soon as he realizes he has blood on him, he gets up and tries to wipe off the blood off of himself but instead ends up smearing it on himself even more due to the franticness. His eyes fall on a stick and he guesses that's how Nihaal was killed and he picks up the stick soon to realize that its his own jeep's jack.

B: Ye- ye to meri jeep ka jack hai!!

Baldev tries to piece things together but at that very instant Ranvi barges in with Rajveer and other police officers. Ranvi looks at Baldev and then at Nihaal and then rushes over to Nihaal but Rajveer stops him from touching him.

Raj: Ruk jao Ranvi! (and then eyeing Baldev) Ye murder case hai.. laash ko haath mat lagana!

Ran: L-l-laash..

Raj: Haan Ranvi..

Ranvi's eyes light up with anger as he stares at Baldev.

Baldev throws down the jack and then says defensively

B: Ranvi nai mene nai..

Ranvi grabs Baldev collar but Rajveer pulls them apart with the help of other officers..

Raj: Ruk jao Ranvi!! Police officer ke saamne hatha pai mat karo warna majboori me mujhe tumhe thaane le jana ho ga.. aur rahi baat Baldev ki to (he looks at Baldev) Baldev Singh.. You're under arrest..

Before Baldev can say anything, the police officers take him away. As Baldev is about to enter the police jeep he looks at Ranvi with pleading eyes to believe him but Ranvi looks away in anger..

Rajveer wanted to send Baldev away from his and Veera's life for good so he got Baldev sent to Central Jail in Mumbai to speed up the court processes.
--
Veera for the first time in her life went against her Veerji's wishes and went to Mumbai so she could meet Baldev and be near him.. Afterall, she believed that Baldev was innocent and could go to any extent to prove him innocent.

[Jail]
As Veera walked towards Baldev's cell, the other criminals looked at her with bad eyes.. This didn't go unnoticed by Baldev. Veera came to Baldev's cell and put her hands around the bars. Baldev put her hands over hers..

B: Veera tu.. Aj ke baad tu yahan nahi aayegi..

Veera was shocked at what she heard.

V: Kyun??

B: Wo bas.. Kuch nahi tu bas nahi aayegi..

V: Theek hai nahi aongi.. Kyunki tu bhi yahan nahi rahega zyada der tak.. Wo Baldev me na tujhse ek zaroori baat karni ayi thi..

B: Haan bol?

V: Baldev wo, yahan ke ek boht jaane maane wakeel hain.. KD Pathak.. To agar tujhe koi problem nahi to me unhe kahun tere case larne ke liye..?

Baldev was confused.
B: Haan to.. Isme poochne ki kya baat e..?

V: Nahi wo mujhe yei tha ke Tayaji ne ya tune kisi aur ka na socha ho

B: Nai tu ja aur us wakeel se baat kar le.. Aur Papaji ko bata de ke tune wakeel dekh lia hai

V: Theek e Baldev me nikalti hoon, bye, apna khyaal rakhna

B: tu bhi.. Bye

[KD's office]
Varun is sitting in his chair and reading the newspaper.
V: KD sir.. aaj kal lagta hai Mumbai me crime rate kum ho gaya hai.. Koi chori ya hatya ki khabar nahi..

KD is sitting on his chair and on his laptop..
KD: Haan to achi baat hai na Varun.. Waise aas paas ki jankari rakhna achi baat hoti hai.. Agar koi aur kaam na ho to kisi aur sheher ka samacharpatra hi par liya kar.. Jankari me izafa ho ga.. Dekh me abhi ye paas ke gaon, Pritampura ka samachar par raha hoon aur ye ek bari vichetra baat pata chali hai.. (Varun comes and stands by KD's chair) (KD reads out the news) "Ladke Ne Baap Samaan Aadmi Ka Kia Qatl".. Dekh kya zamana aa gaya hai.. Baap samaan viekti ki hatya kar di

Person: Nahi sir.

KD and Varun turn to the source of the voice.

Veera walks over to the desk and..

Va: aap kon?

Vee: KD sir.. Usne khoon nahi kia Wo bekasoor hai..!

KD: aap bethiye.. (KD gestures towards the chair and Veera sits down) aur pani peeyen.. ab shaanti se bataiye kya baat hai

Vee: KD sir, mera naam Veera hai.. Aur ye.. Ye mera manghetar hai jispe mere Nihal Chachu ke qatl ka ilzaam laga hai.. Lekin, lekin mera yaqeen maniye.. Baldev ne Nihal Chachu ka khoon nahi kia..

KD: kyun aap esa kese keh sakti hai?

Vee: Sir dekhiye Baldev ke liye Nihaal Chachu uske Papaji ki tarha the, unho ne hamari buhot madat ki hoi hai.. actually me aur Baldev love marriage karna chahte the lekin koi is rishthe ke liye maan nahi raha tha, aur tab Nihaal Chachu ne hamari madat ki thi sab ko manane me.. unki waja se aaj hum ek hone ja rahe the.. ab ese me Baldev kyun maare ga Nihaal Chachu ko!?

KD: Acha aap khabraye mat... Jab tak me hoon, tab tak kisi beguna ko saza nahi mil sakti..

[Jail]
KD walks over to Baldev's cell.. Baldev is sitting by the wall on the bench with his head lowered.
KD: Baldev..(Baldev looks up, KD walks over to him and sits down beside him) Me KD Pathak..

B: KD sir me, me beguna hoon..! Mene kuch nahi kia..! Mene Nihal Chachu ka khoon nahi kia..!

KD puts his hand on Baldev's shoulder.
KD: Baldev Baldev shaant ho jao.. Ab araam se mujhe batao ke us roz.. Kya hua tha?

Baldev takes a deep breath and begins.
B: Me, mere haldi ka function abhi khatam hua tha.. Aur mujhe mere phone pe Nihaal Chachu ki call ayi thi..

--Flashback--
Baldev picks up Nihaal's call..
B: Nihaal chachu aap kaha ho?

Nihal replies in a scared and panting voice..
N: Baldev Baldev mere jaan ko khatra hai..

B: Kya!? Kis se khatra hai aap ko!?

N: (still panting) Baldev wo..

B: Naam batao uska!!

N: Ra"

Beep beep beep beep.The call cuts.

B: Chachu?Chachu!?
--end of flashback--

B: Aur phir mujhe kuch e der baad Chachu ka message aaya.. Unhone mujhe ek address message kia tha.. Aur kaha tha ke me jald se jald unke paas puhonch jaon.. Me waha gaya aur.. wahan Nihaal Chachu zameen pe gire pare the.. Me unke paas gaya aur wo jeep ka jack.. Jo meri jeep ka jack tha pata nahi wo kese wahan puhoncha par jaise hi mene use uthaya usi waqt Ranvi ne mujhe dekh lia aur police bhi aa gayi.. Sab ko laga mene khoon kia hai lekin, lekin mene kuch nahi kia..!

KD: ye.. Ranvi kaun hai?

B: Ranvi.. Veera ka bhai... Meri bhen ka pati... Mera hone wala saala... Aur.. ab mere jail aane ki waja..

KD: jahan tak meri jankari hai.. Ranvi is case ka chashmadeed gawah hai.. Lekin agar tum dono ka pehle se ek rishta hai.. Aur ab ek aur judne wala hai to Ranvi ne ek baar tumse pucha kyun nahi ke hua kya tha..?

Baldev smiled sarcastically and got up from the bench and faced away.
B: Wo baat hi kuch aisi hai wakeel saab.. Darasal.. Mera aur Veera ka parivaar.. Hum ek dusre ko bachpan se jaante hain.. Ek e pind me jo hain.. Bachpan me meri aur Veera ki kabhi banti nahi thi aur Veera aur uska Veer.. Boht kareeb the.. Panga mera Veera se hota tha aur ghussa uske veer ko charta tha.. Aur.. Me tha bhi boht nalayak.. To Ranvi mujhe bilkul pasand nahi karta tha.. phir Veera parhai ke liye Delhi chali gayi.. wo pandra saal baal wapas ayi lekin us dauraan mere aur Ranvi ke bare pange hua karte the.. mujhe ghussa bari jaldi charta hai to jese hi koi mujhe kuch esa kahe ke jisse mujhe ghussa char jae, me usse panga kar bethta tha.. lekin mera mere ghusse pe bilkul kaabo nai hota tha.. Par Ranvi to apne aap ko jese pind ka rakshak samajhta tha.. kuch bhi galat ho to waha puhonch jata tha baat sudhaarne.. Aur meri baat sune bagair mujhe doshi thehra deta tha..

KD: Matlab Ranvi kamesha se tumhare khilaaf tha..

B: Nahi.. matlab.. Jab Veera wapas ayi to me kabhi kabhi kisi cheez me uski madat kar deta tha ye soch ke ke iss se pind ki bhalai ho gi aur phir jab sarpanch ka chunao ho ga to log mujhe chunenge.. aur Ranvi ko mere upar thoda boht bharosa hone laga.. aur phir aista aista mere aur Veera ke beech pyaar hua aur kuch aisi baatein hoi jisse Ranvi mujhpe aur bharosa karne laga aur phir bari mushkilo ke baad humne Ranvi ko manaya is rishte ke liye.. (after a short pause) par phir pata nahi use kya hua jo wo meri baat sunne ko tayyaar hi nahi ai.

Baldev suddenly turns around to KD and says worriedly..

B: Me maanta hoon ke mujhe ghussa jaldi aata hai lekin mere aur Nihaal Cahchu ki koi larai nahi hui aur mene unka qatl nahi kia!!

KD walks over to Baldev and extends his hand and says with a smile..

KD: Me tumhara case larne ke liye tayyar hoon... I'll see you in court

Baldev shakes KD's hand with a thankful smile and KD leaves.

[KD's office]

Varun is reading the case file..

Va: Sir aapne uske case kese le lia? Me abhi case ki file par raha hoon aur saaf saaf pata chal ra hai ke Baldev ne hi khoon kia hai!

KD: Varun us din kya hua.. wo to chaan been ke baad hi pata chale ga.. aur me hamesha kehta hoon.. sambhavita jesa hota he wesa dikhta nahi aur jesa dikhta hai wesa hota nahi..
