Yeah. Me too. More so given the age gap.

Words fall short to describe exactly what it is about Darcy and Lizzy that no other couple can ever replace them.😳

What about David Copperfield then? The guy goes to the extent of calling her his sister.😆

You've got the stories wrong. Tilney is from Northanger Abbey😆

Until Persuasion I would have never thought that exes getting back together could be so good.😳 I am not sure but I think I have yet to like another story about exes in books/tv/movies.🤔

Emma and Knightley sound good despite of the age difference and him knowing her since she was a kid...just for that Austen deserves full marks..any other author might have made me cringe.😆

People should be crazier about Darcy and Lizzy when talking about romance rather then Romeo and Juliet tbh..minus Shakespeare (I guess that's all it needs😆) and tragedy what does it have..the characters are pathetic.

Haven't read Copperfield. Loads of Dickens pending for me. He does?🤢

Henry Crawford na then?😆 Have't read either book.

Most stories don't dwell on the changes. That's why.

Jane Austen may well be called chick lit author but it is like no other😳

I hate Romeo and Juliet🤢 Maybe its all the hype that surrounded it before I got around to reading the book.

Yeah. He does at one point. Won't reveal too much and spoil Dickens and his suspense😆

Yep. Crawford it is.
Oh and I like Catherine and Tilney as well. Dunno why exactly😆

If anyone calls her that it's just coz she wrote for women.😳😆 I guess that's all the reason ppl need to diss women's fiction.

About Dickens...ok.😆

About NA...I don't wana put myself through 19th century English again. Also Catherine might be too much for me.😆

If I was in R&J, I would have saved them from the paap of suicide and pushed them off a cliff myself.🥱😆 I haven't read much Shakespeare but I liked Much Ado about nothing and Caesar.

Even while Cleopatra killed herself she sounded way classier (for obvious reasons😆) than RJ who are dhabba on all lovers.

Absolutely! The nickname itself is so derogatory at times.

Really? I love old England. Often wish I was born in that era😳

I also hate how men diss at the romance genre. All romance is not bad.😕 But since the twilight/50 shades craze I can't blame them.

I am trying to reread Emma (Mr.Woodhouse is a hoot🤣) and some passages get too much for me.😆

Beware of what you wish for.😆 You could have been stuck with a Mrs.Bennet for a mother and Collins for a suitor.😆

And just look at Chetan Bhagat. What kind of stories does he sell? So called chick lit is far better when compared to all that yet people will proudly read a CB novel in front of people.😕

Please! That's like dream come true. Being Elizabeth, I can handle Mrs. Bennet and Collins is only a suitor😳

I haven't read any of his books but if you replace his name for a female one on the covers..the respect will automatically dip. No disrespect intended for him though.

Sheldon in The Big Bang theory had once said that female professionals like J.K.Rowling choose to use their intitials so they won't be judged (or something like that😆). That's so true. I wonder if Rowling had used 'Joanne' instead then would HP still have become the biggest selling series of all time. It would have still been a huge success no doubt but HP was released before the age of ebooks and kindles (which 50 shades took advatage of despite being utter cr*p). Or imagine HP with a female witch rather than a boy wizard.😕 Ppl encourage the girl child to read books with male protagonists but they deem even good novels with female leads as 'Girl books'.

Who says you will get to be Elizabeth?😆 You could be Mary or Lydia or Gunjan wali Emma.😳😆
