I guess its like this,ranvi knew who gunjan was as a child,her real personality and then no matter what facade she put on as she grew up,he saw thru that facade and cud tell she was wearing a mask cuz she was his friend and he knew the kind of discrimination and lack of love and support she got from her parents and understood this to be the reason behind the mask she wore,i guess knowing all these things about her and being her friend made him sympathize with her and this sympathy eventually made him fall in love with her under the belief that his true love for her (love,the one thing she truely craved for all her life) can break thru the facade and bring her on the right path someday.this is the only logical reason i can come up with and if this is not the reason then i dont know,maybe i'm not an intelligent viewer,and as for good qualities in her,i dont know if these can be counted as good qualities but her bubbly nature,her funny antics and daydreams are cute and appealing 😊
