When it comes to pure honesty in relationships many of us falter, but Baldev does not!!! Baldev is honest and fearless in his relationships!!! Baldev treated Veera as an enemy with his full heart and soul!!! He did not miss even a single occassion where he could settle scores with her, right from the time she had set foot on the soils of Preetampura Baldev had his plans.
Now when his feelings has started to change, he has accepted it. All his heart yearns is to marry her and however annoying it may seem to others, that is how he is suppose to feel. Baldev does not wrap his current feelings in buttery and sugary words and present it infront of Veera as inseparable love. Baldev feels the need to have her in his life!!! Logically speaking sometimes the beginning of love is need, attraction, longing or sometimes even lust. Love is a deeper emotion which spreads its root and makes the tree of relationship stronger!!!
We tend to gloss over truths to avoid any potential confrontations!!! But Baldev is a different breed altogether!!! The first time he lifted Veera he did not praise her how light she was, instead he loudly declared tu kitni bhaari hai Veera!!! Similarly in that scene when she punches him lightly he laughs at her telling, "Janaaniyon waali mukke maar rahi hai!!!". The very next moment when she hits him like a possessed woman, Baldev quickly responds, "Aise kyun maar rahi hai Veera Maata aa gayi hai ki???" He does not shy away from accepting the fact that he is getting hurt by her punches unlike other AYM heroes.
Baldev at innumerable instances even after his so called proposal has taken a stand against Veera and her family and stood by the truth, be it Gunjan and Ranvi's break up fiasco where he does not even wait for a second to confront Ranvi. Baldev was not ready to hear a word against Gunjan from Veera's mouth, despite him being totally in awe of Veera!!! During Wantsuri wedding anniversary celebration also Baldev openly admitted to Veera that he might not know trivial matters pertaining to her, but he is aware of all the precious information related to her!!!
Baldev has always accepted the fact honestly that he is a kameena and not any devta and this is exactly what makes him so unique!!! Even during MKC half baked challenge Baldev was not ready to take the easy route to win Veera's challenge, he actually wanted to work his way out.
Baldev even in today's episode actually showed his apparent displeasure at Veera's disastrous cooking experiment. His reaction of discarding the lasagne made by Veera actually gives me a lot of hope. Baldev did not hold back from dishing out the truth to Veera that her cooking attempt was not up to the mark. This honesty of Baldev makes him more human and liberating!!!!
Veera tries to buffer herself from that whirlpool of confusing feelings by pretending, avoiding and irritating Baldev. It is like the deeper parts of herself desperately wants to avoid the truth within as she fears what lies beneath the surface of Veeba realtionship!!!!
When lots of people point out the fact that Baldev has not yet realized his feelings for Veera, I always wonder whether realization does matter or not!!! It is not mandatory to say I love you or even propose in a relationship when the feelings are true!!! Love is like a fruit at the top of the tree, the sweetest of all but very few actually ever reach that point!!! Love is a growing feeling, which kindles by each passing day and instills new hope in your life...
Most of the so called modern crowd enter into relationships on a superficial level!!! People start seeing each other when they spot someone who fits their surface criteria. People wear masks and fall in love!!! But Baldev does not have any mask, what he feels is what he reciprocates and this actually makes him a true lover. The contrast of the two love stories of our protagonist Veera clearly showed the difference between soulmate and faux-mate!!! Now Veera gotta decide it whether Baldev is her soulmate or faux-mate...
