I don't know NJ...I've been enjoying Ballu's funny stuff...he is pretty good and has great comedic timing. Of course I love his AYM and sensible older bro and intense lover stuff...but I've never had any real issues with him as the light hearted comedy parts...in the Gunjan drama that had taken over I loved him...he was fun and refreshing.

For me it's a larger issue then just this one bit of Bride Ballu...I mean I understand that he's doing it for his sisters happiness...but the entire plan from the beginning is so nonsensical!

The CVs wrote that damn story...so they need to tell us what's what, eh? It's like they're rushing to hide all that under the rug...and what doesn't make sense to me is Ratan's reaction!!!

She just found out this truth...it was a whopper!!! And fine she was sensible enough not to blow up at Gujan...marriage isn't a joke anywhere,'especially not in the pind...so why on earth would she go along with this plan...all the way to the mandap?!!

For me it's not just what they've made Ballu do,'even though it's lame as hell, for me it's how they're handling Ranjans love story...like it wasn't complicated at all...like everything is all rainbows and bubbles!!!

Why take us down the road of horrible Gunjan drama and then Give us this wack stuff..."ta da...she's fixed and now they're in love...all is well in Pritumpura".

I disagree about him not understanding relations, yes he is slow but the way he looks out for Gunjan and closely observed her has me believe otherwise. Baldev is not someone who shows this side of himself often but I feel he is wiser than many give him credit for, specifically Veera and Balwant.

I don't want him to be the AYM all the time but I don't want him to be a joker either. There are so many layers to his character that can be explored.

Thank you for this topic Namrata, it does make me feel better about the episode because you are right while I hate this plan of Veera's one has to respect Baldev for willingly going through with this for the sake of his sister's happiness. It is a complete 180 from the Baldev we would have seen before the leap, now he is showing he does have a heart and would do anything for those he holds dear to him. If this doesn't open Veera's eyes then its her loss.

@Bold...thanks NJ...this is true...

Although we have seen him doing stuff that he doesn't want to for Gunjan's sake...remember the whole model walk business?! He didn't want to hold the umbrella for Veera but he did it all for Gunjan.

He is a sweetheart...and I agree with Mandy that he definitely deserves more credit for being so caring and for understanding things...he has many layers that need exploring...this fixation on one or the other...especially the other recently😡...is lazy.

and you're right...we don't know the full scope of the scene...we do jump the gun sometimes...but it's just sooo freakin frustrating that we finally get Ballu acting sensible...serious...and then as Mandy said those steps forward end with huge jumps back past square one LOL
