CHAPTER-1.

Veera sat rigid as fear paralysed her,preventing her from moving at all..

His approaching footsteps seemed to escalate her heart beat even more,and she clenched the white bedsheet tightly in her hand,as she tried to fight the fear clawing at her insides..

No Veera!You are strong right?So what that he is your husband now,he can't force himself on you..!She tried to reassure herself..But as his footsteps came closer,her courage seemed to fly too..

Rabji!He won't do anything right?Please please please tell me,he won't do-..

Her prayer stopped in mid sentence as she felt his hand on her shoulder,and instantly her entire body went rigid in fear..

His hand on her shoulder tightened slightly,and she winced in pain,and instantly the grip softened.

But Veera was still afraid to look at him..Afraid to see what expression she might see on his face..

She did not have to wait long for it,as he himself came and stood infront of her,and slowly raised her chin with one hand,so that she was forced to look at his face..

Her nearly stopped at what she saw..His face was a mask of intense burning rage..So much that even his eyes glittered with it.

He had been this furious ever since he had overheard her talking to her Veerji,today morning,just before her scheduled wedding with Baldev..

She could feel the heat of his wrath even from this distance,and was afraid even to think what might happen when that anger burst out..

He made her keep eye contact with him,as he lowered his head toward hers..

Veera leaned back,trying to move away,but was angrily jerked up on her wobbly feet,and closer to his body..

Her bangles tinkled loudly at his jerk,but Baldev was past caring as his face came closer to hers..

Veera stared unblinkingly into his eyes,as chilling dollops of fear ran down her spine,and still he pulled her closer..And then he stopped when his lips were almost touching hers..

Goosebumps formed on her skin,as she felt his arm breath on her face,and she could smell the faint alcohol in them..

Was he drunk?!The thought crossed her mind,but she discarded it as fast as it came.

When did he get the time to drink?He was with her all along since he dragged her in mid conversation with her Veerji,towards the mandap,and had hurried with the wedding rituals..And then after it was done and the post wedding rituals were complete,he had picked her up in his arms,to everyone's shocked surprise,smiling for everyone's convenience through gritted teeth,he had carried her to his jeep..

He had let everyone know,that he was taking his bride for honey moon,and before anyone could ask anymore question,he had screeched the jeep to movement..

As Veera remembered all this,standing up close to him,her fear was replaced a bit by curiosity,thinking why he had brought her here in the first place when she-..

She lost her track of thought,when suddenly he moved his lips to her ear..Her long jhumkas tinkled as his lips brushed against them,and his warm moist breath on her sensitive ear made her shiver involuntarily..

"Tainu ki lagta hai Veera..?Ki main tainu pyaar karta hu..?Teri haar ada ape marta hu..?

[What do you think Veera..?That I love you..?I am crazy about all your behaviour..?]"He whispered huskily,as his lips brushed against her sensitive earlobes making her shiver again.

His hands tightened round her waist and pulled her closer up against his body making her gasp at the contact..

His warm breath on her ears,made her close her eyes,as something new passed through her body,and she tried to move away from him,but his hand tightened round her waist keeping her still.

Saach hi hai teri soch..Karta hu main tainu pyaar..Main tainu vadda pyaar se NAFRAT KARTA HU!!!

[You think right..I do love you..I love a lot TO HATE YOU!!!]"He seethed out the last part of his sentence,and simultaneously pushed her away from him,onto the bed..

Breathing heavily he looked at her with utter disgust in his eyes,and then suddenly leaned above her,now half lying on the bed..

"Teri zindagi abhi shuru hui hai Veera..Main teri zindagi ki ek nayi kahani likhunga..Khud apni haato se..Dekh lena tu!

[Your life just started now Veera..I myself will write a new story of your life..With my own hands..You just wait and watch!]"He gritted out in a cold chilling voice,and before Veera could react he had moved away..

Veera sat up straight finally,and stared at his back as he stood by the table,doing God knew what..Suddenly he had turned and was walking towards her again,and Veera leaned back afraid as to what he might be doing now..

She noticed something glint in his hand,not able to see clearly as he was still in the shadow,and her heart nearly jumped out in fear..

Was he planning to kill her with a knife..?!!Oh my GOD!!Was that a knife in his hand?!!

Before she knew it he was standing infront of her,and had extended his hand towards her..

Veera closed her eyes,waiting for the pain to engulf her..She was going to be murdered by her brand new husband..!
