[BALDEVA LISTEN!!!]"Veera ran after Baldev,trying to catch up with him,as he strode away,checking his watch every instant..

"BALDEVA MAINU TUJHSE KUCH ZAROORI GAAL KARNI THI!!!

[BALDEVA I HAD TO TALK ABOUT SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO YOU!!!]"

Still Baldev strode away,as if not hearing a single word of what Veera had been saying.

"BALDEVA RUK!!!

[BALDEVA STOP!!!]"

Baldev had reached his jeep,and jumped into it.

"BALDEVA TU MAINU AUR GUSSA MAAT DILA!!MAINE KAHA KI-..

[BALDEVADON"T IRK ME ANYMORE!!I SAID THAT-..]"

SCREECH!!!

Veera covered her face just in time as a some droplets of mud splattered on her blue kurta,as the car screeched to movement..

Dumbstruck she stared at the retreating jeep,as it vanished down the road..

Baldev had neither stopped and nor turned to spare her a parting look..!!!

Her initial rage was soon replaed by helplessness and pain..

Her shoulder drooped low with the burden of her pain,and she turned towards the fields..TO look for a lonely place to be with herself..

Veera sat by the fields and watched the sun set in the distant sky..

The cacophony of the birds increasing as they all got busy to return to their abode..

But Veera was unmindful of all and everything..

An odd heavy feeling had settled in her heart,as she looked on into the green paddy waving in the slight breeze..

Suddenly she felt not so loved at all..

She knew back at her home she had her Veerji,her Beeji,her Chaiji,even her Gunjan Bhabhi who cared for her..And back at Delhi she had a bunch of friends..

But was it enough for her..?

Ever since that day she had felt lonelier than ever in her life..

Ever since that day she had refused Baldev finally,and screamed her frustrations out at him..

Yes,Baldev did need to get responsible,but the way she put it in him was not right..

And ever since that day,Baldev never talked with her,or give her a passing glance even.

After three days of complete ignorance,Veera had finally decided to talk to him herself,but hehad just ignored her and left..

She should be feeling insulted,but what she felt was even stranger..

She felt pain..

What was happening to her..?!

VEERA!Ro maat!Aisa hota hai kabhi kabhi!Tainu..Tainu kulfi khilau?!

[VEERA!Don't cry!Things like these happen sometimes!Would you..Would you like to have kulfi?!]

A soft smile came on her lips at the memory..If she had not been in so much pain that day,she would have laughed at his rough concern for her..

That she had found solace in his arms..She had not realized it then,but now she did..

And then when he demanded a date..

Tainu dard hota hai to mainu bhi to hota hai na dard!

[When you get hurt I also get hurt!]

The words now if she remembered it were truly so sweet..

His dark mysterious eyes had looked with so much emotions in them that day..

JOKER NAI HU MAIN VEERA..Choti choti baat na sahi,teri Saabse Vaddi vaddi baat pata hai mainu..

[I AM NOT A JOKER VEERA..Maybe not the small things but I do know important things about you..]

And how Veera had felt her heart fluttering crazily that day..

The way he had stood for her Beeji infront of those village women..And he had not even known she was there..!

Did all this not mean nothing to her..?

Suddenly she had that impossible urge to see him again..

Talk to him..

She needed some answers..

He had become a puzzle for her,and she needed the answers fast..

Veera got up,and suddenly felt a drop of ear falling from the corner of her eyes..Quickly she wiped them off with a shaky smile..

Was it any wonder,Baldev Singh was now making her emotional too..!

Veera looked for him everywhere,but he was nowhere about..

Finally she decided to go to his home,and look for him there..

She stopped at the door when she noticed there were some guests in the house..

But she sighed out when she realized they were leaving..

Veera stood at the side out of their site,when she heard the ecstastic voice of Bansuri Taiji..

"Haan haan Bhaisaab!Aap bilkul chinta maat kijiye!Meri puttar ki vyaah to aap ki beti ki saath hi karaungi!Koi gaal nai!Lakhon mei ek hai mera puttar!

[Yes yes Bhaisaab!Don't you worry at all!I will get my son married to your daughter only!No problem at all!My son is one in a million!]"

Veera did not hear anything more,as she felt the world spinning round her..

She was just about to fall down when a pair of strong hands caught her..
