I don't know what an "ff "is. You may use one of my scenarios. Please read the 6th scenario I came of with at the end of my post.
I haven't watched the show since November. I Actually canceled my cable susbscription.
I liked the show initially because it was showing a loving husband, a lively kid acting as a kid and not as a smart grown up. I was put off by the way the villagers interfered in a family's personal matter andthe way Ratan ignored the baby after Amrita's dead.
But just as "curisoity killed the cat" , I came back to read why sampooran had a child out of wedlock.
I read that ratan did accept veera. Sampooran is missing for 5 years, which does make sense since he was a very loving husband and caring father.
I don't have much hope as far as why Sampooran left. ( I like the actor playing the role though! ).
My peeve is against the writers and producers. We all agree that whatever they show, the story and charcaters are a work of fiction.
However a vast majority of viewers take the characters, and the treatment they get as real and them emulate the same behavior. I strongly feel these daily dramas have a strong social impact and instead of reinforcing superstitions, showing women in a submissive role (they shouldn't study, they should just be homemakers, they can not have an opinion etc), the writers have the power to bring in social and behavioral change but they choose not to and instead reinforce the old ways.
As an example I saw one episode of a show (don't know the name) in which a husband beat his wife under his mother's instructions and them left her tied to a chair for the night, to go to his mistress's house. Are you serious?
Maybe I am dreamer but I wish the shows portray what an ideal situation would be rather and making matter worse.
top five issues:
1) mariage :girl must be mariied but here are the issues: oh she is too dark, oh she is too poor, oh she is too educated
2) child: of they have been married for a month but she is not pregnant yet, of she is pregnant but she is expecting a girl etc..
3) lets go to a baba to get out situation changed.
4) our neighboors, relatives have nothing better to do than mingle in our business; we should also mind everyone else business and let our own issues rot.
5) polygonal love : a loves b, b loves a, but they sacrife they love and marry c and d. But a, b still love each other so they decide to split from c and d to marry each other bu e and f jump in.
So i figured why not throw in my own scenarios.
Scenario 6,
while traveling on a bus to a city, sampooran decide that we should enlighten other from his personal experience to help people not make the same mistake. He opens show as a mariage counselor and figures that we needs to implement his teaching and lead a happy mariatl life. But wait he needs a bride. Nothing to worry Amrita's twin sister, that was left at the hospital at birth comes in. Sampooran feel that this will be a good repentance so he marries her. However ratan's twin sister also comes in the picture. What to do now.???
Never mind he makes a child to ratan's twin sister who dies after giving birth , amrita goes beserk, sampooran leaves again, wondering why does it always happen to me. He then goes to a baba who tell him : it is your destiney to have two wifes. Them sampooran thinks why stop at two? he decides to become a mormon and have 12 wifes and start a reality show on TLC called the sister wives. : ')
Scenario 5 isn't too bad .The writer of Dallas did it. They showed a guy die in a car accident, his funeral etc. A year and a half goes by (viewers time not show time) and the actor who played the character that had died wants to be back on the show so the cv just resurrected him. All the past year drama was something is wife had dreamt.
