The gorgeous actress, who was last seen on small screen in the Zee TV's popular show, Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani as Gayatri might soon make a comeback! Reports suggest that Drashti has a bagged a meaty role in Ekta Kapoor's project on Star Plus! Fans who were missing her for quite some time on-screen, can rejoice with this piece of good news! Earlier, a leading entertainment portal had reported that telly actor Shaleen Malhotra, who rose to fame with Star Plus' cop drama Arjun, is the male lead of the show and now, it is being said that Drashti is being approached as the female lead opposite him. Not only this, we also bring you some interesting tidbits regarding the show. Read on... Apparently, the show is loosely based on Shah Rukh Khan's film, Pardes! The show is set against a Punjabi background and Shaleen will play the role of Anand, which will be similar to Shahrukh Khan's role in the film. He will be playing the role of a quintessential romantic guy in the show, who hails from a humble background and he will go on to become a successful man. As per the sources, a few portions of the show will be shot in Canada as well. According to a leading entertainment portal, Drashti has already shot for her mock.
