Lakhan jumps inside palace premises. He thinks BRM hasnt left yet but come what may today he'll meet his daughter. He hides seeing BRM and gets shocked seeing Rani talking to BRM. Rani happily tells BRM that she helped Jeevan with Maths equations and teacher praised him and gave 'Very Good' remark. BRM smirks thinking Rani disturbed her equation with Raja, trying to improve Jeevan's. She says Rani will get a prize for this. Rani says she doesnt want any prize; just want BRM to keep her promise of getting her ailing grandmother treated. BRM says she wont forget that and will send someone to treat her grandma. Hearing this Rani gets glad and Lakhan gets worried. He recalls his promise to RM that Rani is his daughter and his responsibility and he'll sacrifice his life but save her from BRM's evil motives. BRM leaves. Swarna & Bindu come out. Swarna looks for Lakhan. Rani sees Lakhan and calls out to him as "Baba" but he silences her and takes from there. Swarna gets sad and wonders why did Lakhan not come to meet her. She decides to check if all is well with Lakhan & RM but worries how can she leave Bindu alone in palace.
Lakhan is angry and scolds Rani for going to palace despite him forbidding her. Rani innocently says she was helpless as she doesnt want to lose her grandma and narrates to him how she got work as a helper in kitchen in palace and how she won all challenges yet BRM didnt give her a penny. Lakhan warns to never go to palace. Rani tries to argue and he slaps her. RM watches this and chides Lakhan for raising hand on her granddaughter. She says he is angry with her then why is he letting his anger out on Rani. Lakhan tries to explain but RM gets bout of cough so he refrains from telling her about Rani-BRM interaction thinking her condition might deteriorate learning that. RM demands to know but he evades so RM asks Rani. Lakhan asks Rani to not tell anything to RM. He says only 4 days are left; then they'll leave from here and forbids Rani to go out anywhere. He gets frustrated thinking Swarna must have waited for him and how will he meet her & their daughter now. RM thinks Lakhan is hiding something from her and decides to ask Rani about it tomorrow. Seeing Lakhan worried Rani asks the matter. He tells her he is worried for her and asks her to not go to palace ever again. There's a knock on door. He thinks it must be RM and asks Rani to open the door. Rani opens the door and Doctor comes in with royal guards. He tells Rani BRM sent him to treat her ailing Grandmother. Lakhan gets shocked and signals Rani to send them back. Rani tells the Doc her grandma has gone out and will return after 3-4 days. Doc leaves telling her to call them when she is back. Rani nods and shuts the door. A worried Lakhan asks her why guards had come here. Rani says its what she was trying to tell him but got slapped instead and informs him how BRM promised to get her grandma treated. Lakhan understands that BRM is again faking to be good and trying to repeat the history. Rani is confused. He asks her what if she doesnt go to palace. She replies the witch BRM wont leave her so easily and will land here tracing her if she doesnt go to palace. Lakhan gets more tensed thinking BRM doesnt know Rani's reality till now but she definitely will, if someone from palace visits here. He thinks he cant take such risk and till they leave from here, he wont let BRM know Rani's truth. He allows Rani to go to palace and work there but not to talk anything to anyone. Rani asks howz that possible as she knows lot of ppl there. Lakhan makes her swear by him that she will go to palace only to do her work & keep quiet otherwise; wont talk or reply to anyone else she'll see her father die just like her mother passed away. Rani is shocked but promises to do as he says and makes him swear by her that he wont leave her ever. He promises. Rani thinks her Baba gave her the most difficult challenge but she'll fulfill this one too.
In palace, servant has brought milk for Raja but he refuses to have anything until Rani comes. Servant asks what if BRM comes to know that he despite being a prince, refuses to have food for a maid's sake. Raja's mom Ambika is watching this. Raja throws the glass away and walks off asking the servant to complain BRM for this; he doesnt care. He bumps into Rani and taunts her but Rani doesnt speak a word. Raja gets frustrated and says she seems to have realized her mistake hence is quiet and asks her to apologize. Rani thinks she is quiet coz of promise given to her Baba and why should she apologize. Raja shows more attitude and asks her again to apologize to him; he may forgive her then. Rani thinks what apology and he needs to clear his nose first; she wouldnt even stand near him let aside talk to him! She walks away w/o speaking any word. Raja feels more frustrated and says she is very stubborn. Bindu asks who. Raja says why discuss about her and waste his time. Rani stops hearing this. Raja asks Bindu about her B'day party preparation. Bindu is excited and says her Mom will give her a big gift on her Bday. Raja says he too is very excited for her best friend's Bday. glaring at rani, he says some ppl are very selfish and cheat friends by joining hands with the enemies. Bindu innocently says she too cheated him once while playing Ludo. Raja says someone becomes friend first and then support the rival - that is called cheating. Rani still doesnt speak & leaves. Raja gets annoyed that she still didnt apologize to him. Ambika looks on.
Rani burns her hand while cooking. She feels much pain and wants to cry but doesnt thinking she cant tell anything to anyone. She thinks Raja is fool to be upset with her and not understand that she befriended Jeevan for his sake only as there was no better way to mend the relations b/w these 2 brothers. Ambika drags Raja inside and chides him for ill-treating Rani and calling names to Rani and Jeevan. Raja expresses his unhappiness about Rani-Jeevan becoming friend to which Ambika explains that Rani befriended Jeevan but didnt trouble Raja supporting Jeevan whereas Raja has hurt Rani & Bindu both with using Bindu to taunt Rani. She asks Raja he too did what Kaal does then how is he different from Kaal? Raja hugs her and says he doesnt want to become like his father but he was very upset hence such behavior. He apologizes to Ambika. She asks him to apologize to Rani. He says she isnt talking to him. Ambika says but he can still talk to her. Raja agrees and goes to apologize to Rani. BRM comes and taunts Ambika that Kaal is right; Ambika cant make Raja a King. Ambika says she can make Raja a better human and it is more important for her that her son becomes a good humanbeing than a King. BRM fumes that ppl have started arguing with her.

Raja drags Rani and twists her arm. Rani feels hurt. He says sorry to her and wants her to tell him that she accepted his apology else he'll lock her in a room. Rani doesnt say anything owing to her promise to Lakhan but Raja gets angry and locks her in room. Rani beats against the door for someone to open it and free her.
