The story may be set in the 1940s but the audience lives in the 21st century. And we women really won't be burning like diyas in the temple if another woman appears at a doorstep. We might burn the other woman and if need be, the husband too!
Please understand the mindset of your audience before you set out to entertain them!
The Prabhu dialogue and the Radha one made me want to gag. No thank you, no epic references are going to get us to buy into this nonsense where a woman walks around distributing invitation cards for her husband's wedding.
Even SKR is retelling the epic with a contemporary flavor where the rights of women are constantly being stressed upon!
So, no more Main Tulsi Tere Aangan Ki or Main Radha Tere Amerkot Ki please!
Enough of this rubbish!
And G please, a lamp burns to dispel darkness. Your burning is only spreading the darkness in your own life! Instead of making her mouth cliches, make her stand up for herself, creatives, for her rights, her husband and her marriage. And the secret be damned!
