A very, very interesting back story and a very credibly narrated one too!
I have just a few issues. This show was touted as the love story between a King and a commoner. Turns out both are commoners, at least by birth! And since royal lineage is derived by birth and not by character, Indravadhan technically has no claim to the throne. The first right would now go to Kunwar Chandravadhan and then his son, Lakshraj. It does not matter that they are not royal by character. They are royals by birth and hence, by law, they have the first right to the throne.
Indravadhan's present identity rests on a lie. Rani Priyamvada lied that he was her son. So there was no way there could have been a formal adoption or even the rituals that would have had to be performed to sanctify such a relationship!
Knowing Indravadhan, I can't imagine him clinging on to the throne once he knows the truth. He would want to serve his people forever but would he feel he has the moral or the legal right to be King? And Indravadhan is a very righteous man!
He already feels that he falls short of the standards for a King set by his deceased father. Now, when he knows that the deceased King was not even his biological father, he will be even more convinced probably that he is not fit to be King!
So how are the creatives going to handle this one? How are they going to perpetuate or justify Indravadhan's royal status? Now that Indravadhan himself is not a royal by birth, how will any heirs he may have ever have a right over the throne? So what is the story then going to be? How he adjusts to the life of a commoner? How he becomes a people's King even if he is not one by birth?
Am now curious to see where they take this track. Wherever it may go, I am really waiting for the time when Indravadhan gets to know the secret of his birth!
What will his equation be with Rajmata thereafter? What of his equation with Gayathri even? When he knows that she did not reveal the truth to him once she got to know it?
In the middle of all this, he is probably going to be accused of misbehaving with Raageshwari. And the righteous King might impose a harsh punishment on himself! How will they get him out of that one?
If Gayathri had been a born royal, there might have been an interesting conflict in terms of how her family may have reacted to this truth! Since she is not one, I guess that angle will not come into play!
Whatever, this track has the potential to make or break this show! For the sake of the actors, I really hope it makes it!
