Akshara is going blind ...and her husband stands beside her like a rock what are they going to take this on with?

A track with a very strong emotional quotient is the need of the hour...simply staging two minute song sequences with the leads and then filling up episodes with random drama is not going to help...

One random drama has brought them to 2.1...and complete absence of emotional sequences between leads...

Not sure the show can afford another random drama...!

They need a big track...and one that will connect hugely with the audience...

Both the leads need to have a part in it...they are husband and wife..and he is the King...showing him as incapable of judgment is clearly an error of judgment and has cost them big...hope they reform while they still have the time..!

They are King and Queen...show us tracks that befit their royal status and that are yet high on EQ if you are to have a hope in heaven of getting back lost eyeballs...!

Hi folks, very cool discussion reg. TRPs drop. I'd like to add my own experience.

My MIL is also like a typical TRP aunty. she didn't understand Hindi. She watches all shows in our MT. But very recently she also started watching this show along with me. I've to prompt the dialogues. She startd with KC track. she really enjoyed that n BRM track also. Last week when they showed the bromance between RNJi n Avdesh, she felt that RNJ is faking that friendship. she expected that from him. she is really surprised that he actually fell for that guy. I asked her the reason why she felt like that. Then she said that RNJi is always an intelligent fellow who never trusts others easily. she gave the example of fake S. Even though she resembled his dead wife, he always doubted her. so why r they doing this to him? is her biggest doubt. she is quite disappointed with the CVs for making him... the king a fool.

While watching yesterday, she really enjoyed the epi, n when Avdesh is asking RNJ to bet on G, she immediately said that he won't do that as he has a lot of respect for women n he never considers them as possessions. she is very happy at the end as her reasoning is correct.

so what u think guys? we can understand clearly where they went wrong?

There are many articles on how good the show is, many have added the leads in Top ten Jodis,where is the prob than.Why the production house not doing anything,if ST has such a bad repu...

ST is not bad Gul.
Not as bad as people make him to be. I like his male leads, they are complex,smart,intelligent men and his villains are quirky.
Alas!he also recycles and pushes the boundary in some cases.
IMAO, he can think big.

If your m-i-l is a TRP aunty, I think all of us are too...because I don't think any of us appreciated the dumbing down of the ML...

I want to cite two examples...

1. The rival show's track that fetched 3.2...yes, the FL had an NDE but it was the ML who rescued her...and fought with the Gods to bring her back to life...

2. The other Zee show JR...I think that show pretty much revolves around the ML there...from the title..

So far as TV goes, the actor's star status is not important...or else Swarangini would not have done better than ETR2...and secondly, this whiole ML- FL thing is getting broken down...even the TRP crowd does not appreciate dumb MLs who wait around to be rescued by their wives...yes, they like the women to be self righteous and strong ...but that does not imply that they appreciate dumb MLs...

I think the creatives need to wake up and smell the coffee on this...why, our own show had 2.6 during the fake S track when the ML was neither dumb not stupid...what does that go to prove?

I don't know who or what gave them the idea that TRP aunties dig dumb jocks...gone are those days...they want to see MLs who are caring and supportive of their wife's choices too...!

Sim, the funny part is the dumbing down of RNJ began after ST's entry into the show...till then, he was a strong, intelligent and proactive King...not sure why ST wanted to change the formula that had worked for him till then...

It really does not matter to us who the writers are...so long as they understand the need to give episodes that are high on EQ, even if not on IQ, and strong leads are given maximum screen space, there is enough romance since it is a love story...and the story telling is consistent and thorough...not half baked as this track has been...

On Thursday, they lose the kingdom and on Firday, they get it back...why did they even lose it?

Let us assume this was a result of course correction...

For course correction to happen, the writers need to recognize they have gone wrong...arrogance and a smug attitude are not going to help...nor will overconfidence that will result in their blaming everyone other than themselves for the debacle...!

You cannot control what Naittik and Akshara do...but it is in your hands what RNJ and G do...make sure they do enough for an audience to avidly follow their story..!
