Welcome to the forum Adhyaay-Chapter. Laksh is one of the main characters in the story. I wish he gets more screen time and his track is being handled sensitively. Personally I would have preferred Laksh to be a grey character rather than a murderer and abusive man.

I am not sure though if he loved Saroj. He certainly wasnt in a monogamous relationship with him and grieved for him briefly before moving on. Not that we expect him to grieve for years like RNJ did for Sona and possibly having multiple partners was a way of life for members of the royal family. I feel Saroj was around to take care of Laksh's needs and for moral support so it might have been convenience turned to friendly affection.

About the outrage, Bertie made a great post.

Interesting info on Shakuntala Devi. TFS.

Thanks for the welcome Infofan and thanks for responding too :-)

I too wish his track is handled with sensitivity and his character is given shades. It really has a lot of potential. You make some good points about his equation with Saroj. When points like these are brought up, I wish we knew more about this layered and complex character.

Nice analysis...on a side note, for a man who is attracted to the same gender his detection is completely off...smh.

Nice insights by everyone and interesting bit about shakuntala devi @Adhyaar-Chapter
But all I hope is they don't brew any romance b/w LR and Swarna in the future. LR ever developing feelings for Swarna or any female when his sexuality is clearly established would be plain stupid. But what can one say abt the desi soapy duniya?

Any other angle explored has great possibilities ...

On another note, I recently got to know that math whiz Shakuntala Devi was married to a gay man. At first, she was very bitter about it, but subsequently wanted to understand it more closely. She's even written a book about it, The World of Homosexuals, which went unnoticed when published, but which could be considered path breaking simply because it was among the earliest studies on the subject.

Just thought about this in the context of Swarnalekha being married to a gay man.

That's a very interesting piece of information.

He may be a gay, but end of the day any man is possessive of their own wife.. in this case also, he is jealous and not happy with the fact that his wife will be sleeping with someone elz to produce a heir soon.
This Can be one of the reasons..
