If the pace and turn of events in the show is largely due to the TRP-race, then I am inclined to think that the portrayal was because they thought that it was romantic, with a view to show their well-established bond and how besotted he was that he allowed her to take such liberties.

Yesterday's episode had me thinking. If they are going to portray it as a bad-wife v. good-wife plot, it appears that they are starting to sow the seeds. He came and offered
ladoo to Gayatri as if he has done it before -- sneaking food to someone fasting!

But his mother had no clue about sargi..and he specifically said that he learnt about it from G's mother...and somewhere he seems to revel in G's observance of tradition...while the man was quite a modernist earlier...so not too sure about Sulakshana ever having fasted...!

If the creatives thought it was romantic to have a bride challenge her groom midway through the wedding, they need their heads examined for sure...the entire gamut of scenes between RNJ and Sulakshana made it look like she reveled in the power she held over him and left no stone unturned in exhibiting it...apparently they've said they have the story line for a year...so don't think turning Sulakshana negative could have been a last minute thought...she was always coming back..!

@ chennaigirl: I haven't the faintest clue as to how long they'd been married.

@ manny: The popular perception was that Ranaji had been grieving for his wife and had neglected his duties. So, it is unlikely that the public will cast such aspersions on the Royal family. And the debts appear to have accumulated over the past few years.

Empowering and liberating...!

Well they said the character is all casanova very arroagant, he could develop feelings for swarna but her feelings would be tainted due to maybe being in such an extreme situation, kinda like stockholm syndrome. I hope nothing like getting intimate with this guy happens i hope swarna escapes and if the guy helps thats good too. The real question will be once ranaji gets wind of all this what will he do, yeah what happened to swarna was bad but those times n society swarna had no real rights even if gayatri or ranaji support her will they be actually able to get her justice. Unless laksh dies swarna is still his wife and if they show her family will they support her. Also coz british laws were applied in those times laksh being gay was a crime so the only way to punish him would be to expose his truth but again to stop that we have seen chacha and chachi going to the extent of now hiring a guy to impregnate swara. I only see gayatri supporting her n i dont think swarna will be brave enough to fight and declare the whole truth in front of the world maybe only the family. If this does develop into a love story btwn her n the new guy the only way they could be happy is if laksh died and swarna and the guy went away from ameerkot . Even though ranaji is quite enlightened for his time he still would have to abide by societal norms unfortunately.

I had the same thoughts when I read the article. It seems like they have taken a relatively known actor. I hope they fall in love and Gayatri supports them. I would love it and Sula can keep staring balefully at the goings on😆

If they didn't have more than a year as a married couple, she probably didn't make it to their first karwa chauth as his wife. That could explain why Rajmata didn't have a clue. I was thinking along the lines of her observing the fast while she was still unmarried. Isn't there also a custom of girls fasting on karwa chauth for their husbands-to-be? My limited knowledge is based on Bollywood movies and some television serials!

Else, if she did celebrate even one karwa chauth as a married woman, Rajmata might have absconded from the palace on seeing what her son had been reduced to.😆😆

And why should every show celebrate KC even if the characters and story is set in a place where KC is not celebrated traditionally?

I know! Right? Any way...guys feel free to use this thread for future discussions if you'd like...I can also open another thread for future discussions for Sushpective members who are watching the show...or those of us...who would like to check back and see what's going on...even if we are not watching...

Why did it sound so strange to RNJ that Gaytri wanted the gift to be from his heart? Is he not used to giving gifts? Is that how mechanical it was with his first love?- He used to get her whatever she asked for...he never made an effort to feel what she felt?

Aap khidki se chaand ko dekhiye aur main iss chaand ko dekhoonga!
Gayatri must have died and gone to heaven at this confession...❤️❤️❤️

Apne dil se pooch lijiye, Ranaji...Isn'tthis the first time you have gone crazy like this over someone?

This must have been the most perfect day in Gaytri's life. He prepared Sargi for her...shifted her stuff into his room...Gave her rights over his joys and sorrows..just as they would share the room..❤️

This was the day she dressed like a bride once again... and he hovered around her, as she had always dreamed...he promised her the moon...proclaimed his love and devotion...every single thing about this day had been perfect...💔

What a beautiful couple!

Sou ,

You know, I will miss your lovely comments more than the show .

So, we know that the veiled woman had planned some mishap with the channi for Gayatri so that this would be her last karwa chauth. Was it only figurative?

If no, why introduce Sulakshana right at that moment before her plan was to come to fruition?

Are there two different sets of conspirators? The veiled lady in cahoots with Kunwar chacha and Badi Rani Maa? But, they did seem to refer to Sulokshana as their ace.

Hello all,

I started watching the show because sush, S, shwets and bhavi all recommended it to me. I have had some amazing discussions with everyone here. You ladies are super talented and great writers. I have met some amazing people and hope to see you in the near future again.

Sush as always sushpectives have always been a great thread for amazing discussions and the cherry on the top is shweta collages! Thank you both for always opening a thread despite your busy schedules.

That show has beautiful leads and hope it reaches the great heights it can. I will surely come back once this track is over.

To all the sushpectives friends, as the French say Au Revoir 😃

I will miss everyone here!! I will stick around this thread for discussions as always!!
