I do want to point out one thing - Rana falling in love with Gayatri doesn't mean he stops loving Sona. His first wife will always have her own place in his heart. Humans are capable of loving more than one person in a lifetime, and just because Rana is now kind of seeing Gayatri in a different light or whatever does not mean that he has forgotten Sona or that is falling out of love with her. 😊 Loving Gayatri doesn't mean forgetting and falling out of love with Sona; and we cannot judge the love/relationship Rana and Sona shared or compare it with Rana and Gayatri's potential relationship. Both relationships are/will be different from each other and yet both will also be sweet and loving and real in their own way.

What a collage, Ms Shwets, and how awesomely you have described it, Sush!👏

Will come back for the rest of the takes later.

I loved it that the epi had plenty of BOTH the leads. They don't have to be in the same frame, so long as they are thinking and talking about each other. Both BRM and Damayanthi seem to have Alzheimer's😕. Damayanti's accusations at Sethji went over my head. All I could think was, this was the same woman who was selling her daughter to that old man.(I feel that engagement should not have been like that...I have felt that many times- It was very unpleasant to watch.)

BRM-😭- These CVs will break my heart.

Her leaving now can mean only two thing- 1. She takes the insult very seriously...and leaves...A good creative move, since she can be back later, so that she can start fangirling Rani Gayatri. ...Or even a jungle track for RaGa. 😉I don't give up easily.😆

2.💔Sagey sagey hote hai aur sautele, sautele...wonder if Sula was her grand niece or something, and she is the Mrs. Danvers of ETR- NAHEEE!!!😲😭

Moving on...

I loved Gayatri's mom's talk with her daughter.👏Gayatri stood there looking very weak n meek, and her mom cheered her on...'I have always been the one to douse your dreams..Today I am saying it- Go for it girl! Show him what you are made of! Let him not mock your love.'👏It didn't look like Gayatri was going to beg Rana again...she seemed determined to make him ask questions and find the answers himself...All she has to do is, be herself. She is going to be just that...Rana can take it or leave it!😳

RNJ- RM: When the shooting scene started, I went- 'Not again!'😆But it was done quite nicely and differently.👏Ranaji prefers to be a bat for some more time. Well, his choice!😆

In between, I missed the director in the BRM and Seth- Damayanti scene...I hope it was the writing.😊

Mrs Danvers aka inspired from Rebecca. Oh no...not another Kurti Appa! I pray Creatives give us a love story modelled like an art film. Ranaji looks into her eyes, a turn of the head, teaches her horse riding and shooting, car driving, she slips and falls- he holds her, he is forced to tend to her when she falls sick and vice-versa etc etc...let it be slow, warm and nurturing! Good to watch, easy to digest... 😳 But not so slow that I fall asleep! 😲 Ego crashes, love rules...Let there be confrontations, constant denial of passion, jealousy and acceptance.

Hello,

Lovely post and awesome images.

The flashes that Ranaji had were the high point for me! Hard evidence that Gayathri is now haunting him! Better than a ghost 😆

While I appreciate the wisdom of the mother in the last scene, I can't helping thinking that she herself pushed Sethji into making the deal. If she had not gone on a fast unto death and insisted Gayathri married that grandpa, Seth ji may not have rushed ahead with the deal. He may have well asked Ranaji for an audience and discussed the terms of the deal with him at the very least!

At the risk of ruffling the feathers of the sisterhood, I can't help but think that Gayathri herself was unduly harsh with her accusations. So he made a deal which he thought would make his daughter's dreams come true. Not like he was pushing her into marriage with the first man who came knocking at their door. When he decided not to share too many details and let her illusions shatter, he was being a protective father. When Ranaji agreed to the deal, Sethji had no way of knowng that he was going to hold it against Gayathri.

Wonder what Gayathri would have said if he had turned around and asked her if he should have just deferred to her mother's decision and let her marry the old man? Would she have been better off that way? To the credit of Sethji, he was decent enough not to flummox her with that googly!

Darshan Jariwala is a superlative actor and want to see more of him on the show!

Again, I am going to be cynical here and play the devil's advocate. Gayathri had already agreed to marry the old man. So would she have been better off marrying him instead of Ranaji? Granted Ranaji does not love her at the moment and is labouring under misconceptions but is Gayathri seriously suffering from a fate worse than death? She knows that his accusations are untrue and Rajmata has her back. It is a matter of time before the misconceptions are cleared. Like I said in my yesterday's post, it will be a matter of time before Ranaji allows his emotions free rein thereafter.

As for the churlish behaviour witnessed in the precap, she partially brought it on herself. If she had not created that public scene at that ceremony, he would not have done this! Secondly, since she has already broadcast to the world that they do not share spousal relations, his revelations cannot cause more damage. If Gayathri needs to be applauded for not being a hypocrite, then I guess Ranaji is taking a leaf out of her book and being as brutally honest! He is saying what he believes to be the truth!

On the so called challenge to his mother, I do not see it as anything more than a figure of speech. He was saying that he was sure that she would not let go of her royal status that easily and would be back at the earliest. That he would dwell on his mother's protestations on her behalf if that did not happen! It was not like tossing a coin, merely a challenge based on his beliefs!

On wanting to ask Gayathri to apologise to BRM, it was for the public fiasco. Truth or not, it was a public humiliation for the royal family. Since it was that happening that was at the root of the problem, he thought he would appease BRM by making her apologise.

Interesting to see his face when he knew she had left. He was flummoxed not having expected that. Once again, his assumptions about her were going wrong and he was left wondering! Possibly why he was trying to convince himself as much as Rajmata that her leaving was again a stunt! The man is caught between his head and his heart and is having as much a tough time of it, although he wears the typical stiff upper lip!

We all know Ranaji is wrong in his assumptions but unfortunately for him, he doesn't. And circumstances have been created to further his misunderstandings.

So, while I was sorely tempted to smack that derisive grimace in the precap off his face, I am going to cut him some slack here also because of his inebriated state!

Boy was I glad to see BRM's back! Never connected to that character from Day 1.

Okay, so now the misunderstanding is hitting its peak! Time now for the downward slide, when Ranaji will be forced to accept the truth and acknowledge his nascent feelings for his Rani!

Shout from the rooftops if you must, Indravadhan, but accept Gayathri you will. And with your heart and soul!

In the meantime, would be much obliged if Gayathri did not go running after the stubborn oaf and focused on her royal duties for the present!

Sush, awesome analysis on the episode. Loved the episode to the core. Ranaji is affected by Gayatri's presence in his life but is not ready to accept it coz he thinks he has his loyalties towards Sona. Loved the mother-daughter and mother-son conversations, both the mothers want their child's happiness. Story is getting interesting, will wait and watch what happens next?

Gayatri came across as a spoiled child...putting the blame squarely on her dads shoulder...just as RNJ did...when he told his mom that she was the one who made the DEAL ...so she has to bear consequences...😃 In that sense both used almost the same argument...DEAL has gone bad...but it is your "DEAL"...so deal with with!!!

Of course they will both come around and at some point see that both parents did what they thought was the best solution ...and didn't sell out the kids but actually thought they were doing something good...

Shwets, thanks for the lovely pics.

Sush, with you in hoping this is a Tango.

I liked the scenes with the leads& their Moms. I liked Damayanthi, y'day more. She counseled her daughter, told her to buck up and get to the business of being a wife, much like waht RM told Seth. She is not Daddy's pet any more.I thank the Cvs for not going over-board with emotions in the Mom-daughter scenes.I shudder to think how this could've played out in KKB with Pragya's Mom unleashing all that tears&emotions on screen.

Liked Seth!I don't think, he thought RNJ would hold the deal against his daughter. RNJ agreed to the marriage himself & he was the perfect dammad during the engagement & wedding.Arm twisting & not doing sindhoor are hidden from him.

BRM- leaving am not surprised.I never thought that actor will be a permanent fixture as she's in BV too.I know G will bring her back& score some brownie points.
RNJ is now looking for more reasons to hate his Rani? Why does he need more reasons? He even thought of her in Sulu's clothes w.o thinking about Sulu. That was good improvement.
@Infofan-👏 picking upon the veil symbolism.
Precap- i don't take what people blabber under the influence of wine seriously.😆

Hi Sim,
Never thought wine had such a strong effect...😆

Poor Seth...he had no reason to believe RNJ DIDN'T want this marriage...

The story needs reasons that are fixable...like clearing MUs!

Sush,

She did look like a spoilt child...which is what I enjoyed about gayatri post revelation. She is unsure..weak...diffident...accusing...open to discussion...and finally does what she feels she should do...It is a process that takes some time..she is behaving like a normal person and not some saint. 👏 I think everyone uniformly felt bad for Sethji.

Bertie,

As usual I agree with everything you have put down co beautifully...except on BRM. 😭

Though I agree her scenes were getting quite boring...🥱 But they can't make the sweet old lady who RNJ runs off to meet when he needs an advice or permission to sell a palace, negative.🤔

Ranaji has made blatantly clear that he doesnt even like her, he has made false accusations against Gayatri, he has taunted her and he is yet again taunting her in the pre-cap. Its forcing yourself on someone. Its not only disrespectful to yourself not to mention others. I dont mean to compare to other shows but they did handle this a lot better in Punar Vivah, where the male lead had treated the female lead with upmost respect after marriage even though he was still madly in love with his ex-wife. Only after he sacrificed his life for the FL's son that she had from her previous marriage did she try to win his love. OK that was in more of a modern setting.

I understand its the 1940s, a girl whose marriage didn't work out was considered even more ill-fated than that of who didn't manage to get married. I understand one shouldn't give up on marriage after the first day only. No marriage in the world would work if that happened. But with the way RNJ is behaving, has been behaving, making false accusations at her and taunting her in the recap? She still wants his love? Why cant she just focus on her duties as queen? Maybe in her head that would be proving RNJ's accusation to be correct. That she married for status. But who cares about such hypocritical person's accusations? He himself agreed to marry Gayatri because he KNEW he was in debt. If she married for status in his head? Well than he married her for money? I understand love may be blind it doesnt keep score, see insults or false accusations but wanting the affections of a man who so far hasn't treated you that well is not something I would enjoy watching.

Coming to the rest of the episode I LOVE Govind Seth. His love for his daughter is precious. Its take guts to challenge the status quo. I dont get why mother and daughter are upset with him? He came up with a much better solution for his daughter than what Dayamanti had in mind. He made her a queen. Now its clear with no arrange marriage love is a give in. It was always gamble. Yeah he probably was hurt to hear that his son-in-law made false accusation against his daughter. His son in law conveniently forgot that is because this girl and her father that probably the royals were not on the streets. Again I had no problem with RNJ not loving Gayatri, Yash didn't love Aarti in Punar Vivah but he treated her with upmost respect since day one. Coming to the chat between Rajmata and RNJ what type of sill condition is that? She return home after a certain time it means she is a status hungry person? If she doesnt it means she is not. Almost as silly as flipping a coin to see if you have passed an exam. Again maybe I need to take a break of desi soaps.

Red,

What if she is coming back not for love, but to fight the abuse he heaped on 'her feelings'? What if she is coming not to win over his love, but to prove to him that she is not what he thought her to be...

More than RNJ's heart, I feel what she is seeking is the respect as a woman...

Stopping to believe Gayatri is not manipulative doesn't mean Ranaji still has to love her. Gayatri must know that much. Ranaji never loved her, and the deal is not the reason for not loving her. That is only the reason for hating her. Clearing the allegations on her character cannot equate with making Ranaji fall in love with her. It can only mean he has to apologise and respect her as a person. Somehow, this is the feeling I am getting so far.

@Infofan, Thank U for the compliment. Hope I'll be able to stick on to this...I usually can, until the story gets diluted by other factors...which is too common in desi soaps anyway.

Symbolism of the veil- Which director were you reminded of, BTW? 😳
