OS : A pre-wedding avowal
"Ji !" her voice resounded to aware him of her presence.
"Yes ! Please this way." his one reverberated to indicate her toward himself.
She hastily turned in direction of the terrace, where was set up as a barrier, a grand intricate panel. Despite the dizzying levels of artworks, intricacy with geometrical forms and patterns scattered all over the wall to engulf her vision from Rana Ji, it couldn't trap her eyes to capture his shadow in one glance.
She quivered in euphoria, with a content smile across her lips and paced toward him.
"Ji, Kaka told me that you were asking after me. I apologize for having you wait for a while. I was caught in between conversations of guests that I delayed to reach by you." she spoke by standing adjacently to the wall.
"You may withdraw yourself from vain formalities and address me openly, when we had already encountered each other in past !" he quipped.
The span of time accorded to her was way too thin, to think and come up with a good pretext, so she was obliged to stay mum.
"Do not let it bother us this time as my main purpose to demand you here wasn't about that ! I have something to confess you and it had to be before the wedding at any cost !
I vow in front of you that I won't be beating around the bush in search of lame justifications, but I would be dictating straight forwardly and only what consists the truth through my words.
Despite of being a Raja, I couldn't take my own decision but had to bow down in front of a constraint and compromise. I would have agreed if it only takes to oblige myself for the Kingdom and people's welfare but spoiling someone else' life at stake had be really egoistic of me ! Especially when I was once savior of it ! I couldn't make of someone's life, dreams and future a pawn in an alliance. The reason behind to make you my bride was for a large amount of debt we ought to your father, and our marriage would foresee to reimburse everything through the dowry. Hence after all these revelations, you're free to take any steps, even to sue us but rest assured that whatever your decision, I would make sure to pay back the whole sum one day, even if it takes me to go coin by coin. It's now all in your hands. You would pursue your dreams or betroth a widower to lead a mundane life at lack of all affections." thus the Raja concluded the avowal on an acute tone.
"You have only three weeks !" he added before dismissing downstairs by the vestibule. She made sure to hear the motor of his vehicle before crying after her fate.
"A... A com .. com promise ?" she gasped crestfallen. She fell on her knees motionless as a flood of tears made it's way down her cheeks which were short before glowing in happiness.
She leaned her head against the pillar behind and shut her eyes, in search of solace, while the cold breeze of evening was blowing over her smudged face, to appease her state.
"Mom was probably right ! Clashing the real world with my dreamy state would one day shatter me in pieces..." she breathed out in pain.
