Wats wrong with her?? I mean really how can she be so happy marrying her 21yr off to a 70yr old man, honestly her behaviour 2dy was of an evil step mom, she could clearly see her daughter was sad n unhappy yet she was smiling.
That scene where she was helping gayatri with her jewellery n setting her clothes made me clinge, coz her daughter is sitting their lyk a dead body n shes all happy n smiling 😡 😡 ... Yh i get it dat ur worried no1 will marry ur daughter coz u believe she has bad luck but bloody hell u cnt be dat desperate n if u bloody are it better u jus kill ur daughter n end it then mkin her live a life of hell n torture everyday...

Like I said this there showing this to shed light on bad practices of the time. But I hope by the end of all this Damayanti at least excepts that she was wrong. Disgustingly wrong!

i had made a post on this some days back
that it is better she burns her or drowns her
that will be better than a life long punishment
i too felt she was a step mother yesterday
she was stone and had no feelings for her

damyanti really confuses me. Though she loves gayu but is not ready to fight social norms for her happiness which GS can do.

In that era,it was quite common to get the daughter married to even an old man..it can be seen in lit. too..but here they have shown them progressive and Gayatri ahead of her times that's why we are feeling bad..and sometimes you are helpless no matter what your thinking is and how much you love someone..that time its really a big issue to get daughter married ASAP but diff.here is that mother is in favor and mostly mother's are against it..but i see it as twist in tale and we know its not going to happen..though really feeling bad for our poor soul Gayu, and they are showing the bad practices of that time.

Agree with you but the practices back then were like that only.

Damyanti is really behaving like a typical mother of 1940 for whom ultimate goal is to get their daughter marry, doesnt matter where :/

She cares for her & wants to protect her from society & her bhabhis but in the process she is not realising that she is not helping the cause.

All i can say is makers trying to show harsh reality of those days when majority mothers used to think like this. I hope this Damodar drama finishes off soon

Can't blame her.. Imagine those days scenario where girls were to be married off at a young age, only a mother knows the burden of an unmarried girl at this age, the taunts to be borne and finally had to follow the society norms. I m sure as a mother she know from inside and can feel the pain of her daughter but she is majboor to go thru this.. I m sure it makes sense..
Even today though we say we are ahead, being a divorcee or not getting married till late age or not bearing children is still a stigma at many cities in India. SO i guess this treatment is justifiable..
