Hi everyone, i'm here with my take/review on this week's episode. In terms of the episodes, i would say that i didn't really favor how the show progressed this week. For example, Gayatri's family entered the Palace on Monday but the Palace episode only ended on Thursday. In fact, most of us was looking forward for the palace episode when Gayatri would be in Rana's palace and we would get to see their scene together. Unfortunately our dream came crashing down when there were no RaGa moments. In fact they were at the same place in each another's presence but Rana never knew that Gayatri was also there. That was something that i did not liked. But one positive factor that happened was Rana's handkerchief which was given by Sulochana was burned while ironing and it was replaced with the one Gayatri had given. Same way, memories of Sulochana would one day be replaced with Gayatri is something we could conclude from the scene.
Well, moving on to the story.. I really adore Gopal Seth and the actor playing the role is doing a great job. I'm certainly a fan of the Father-Daughter relationship. While the rest of the family traveled by car to the Palace, Gopal took his daughter by a horse-chariot in which only the royal families travel. For Gopal, his daughter is his princess. When Gopal who loves his daughter so much slapped her, it certainly left everyone shocked. Firstly Gopal was already insulted when his horse chariot was taken away and he had to walk home and when he returns, he finds Gayatri in drunken state. Any father in his position would be angry and when this is in 1940's where a girl drinking is something really big especially in an orthodox family like Gopal Seth's. With her brothers imposing a curfew on her, would she get her freedom again?
One thing i liked about this week's episode is how Rajmata have meet Gayatri and is impressed with her. Gayatri was brave and was outspoken giving the white guy taste his own medicine in her own word. This is surely to leave a mark in Rajmata's memory as she learns that Gayatri is Gopal's daughter and this could lead to an alliance being formed.
Rana is still in Sulochana's memory and he refuses Princess Sharmila in his own way. To start of with, Princess Sharmila itself was not sincere in the relationship and i surely liked how Rana snubbed Princess Sharmila by not saying a word leaving Sharmila all furious. Once again, Gayatri was impressed by Rana's attitude. Rana's scene with his sister in law was really lovely and she was certainly not at fault as her husband was more interested in another guy than her and she was just trying to gain his attention. Hopefully Rana would be able to help her in this.
Now coming to the drunk scene, firstly i really liked the fact how Gayatri was drunk and yet she created no commotion or embarrassment in front of everyone unlike shown in most of the show. She only drank it because she thought Rana had sent it for her and when she said 'she would even drink poison for Rana' shows how deep she has fallen for Rana. In a way, i'm glad Rana had not seen her in such state or he would again be judgmental about her. Coming to this, its unsure what is Rana's opinion or expectations in general about women's. Does he appreciates a women who is brave and outspoken as he told his sister in law or he expects a women to remain quiet as he told to Princess Sharmila? Hope the CVs would be able to shed some light on this soon.
Both the bhabi's are ganga kasam, ANNOYING! There has to be a reason on why do they hate or dislike Gayatri. First of all, she is a family member and if they want to ill treat or make use of her to do their work is understandable. But what is the purpose of insulting her or making her embarrassed? One would not simply dislike a person for no reason. Gayatri's mother despite being strict at times, the soft mother side do prevails too. Like how she wanted to cover up when Gayatri drank and how Gayatri could reveal to her that she loves Rana shows the comfort level they share, she is certainly someone who is really worried about her daughter. For a fact, is Gayatri really in love or is it infatuation is something we yet to learn.
On the other hand, we had Rajmata wanting Rana to remarry and at the same time, hoping the marriage would be fruitful with them being to settle their debt to Gopal Seth which Rana was unaware of. Now that Rajmata have told Rana, it would be interesting to see what is his next step. With Rajmata also asking her right hand to find out about Gayatri's weakness, we are pretty sure Rajmata would aim to a marriage between Gayatri and Rana so that she would be able to clear her debt with Gopal. It would be something interesting to see how does this unfolds.
Overall, slow development this week with no RaGa moments but hopefully the coming week would be able to compensate the things we were expecting out of this week's episode.
