Should I pity you or your daughter ?

The question is for the mother who thinks in accordance to her character and the society outside. SHe is trying to make her understand the cost of her dreams. She wants to make her realise that the world outside is cruel and will crush her along with her dreams. How painful it must be for the mother to tell how unfortunate or inauspicious her daughter is. How painful it must be for her to tell any groom shall be perfect for a daughter like Gayatri. Yes, even if the groom is overaged. HOw painful it is tell her that she has no right to have her own life, her own opinion or her own world. The tears that rule her eyes today is genuine although it had crushed Gayatri like a heavy stone

Or should I pity the daughter who has modern outlook against the tradition values of the house. Like her bhabis or mother her dreams are not restricted to the kitchen. She can think. She can dream. She can like and she can also love. When she is right she doesn't budge and when she is wrong she is not afraid to accept her faults. Why her rights have to curtailed because she tried a drink ? Why she has to be told that love is not her future? Why she has to marry an overaged man because her fiancee had died young ? Why she cannot have education and make a good life for herself ? Isn't her life a waste of talent ?

The contrast of two people and their thinking makes today's episode an emotional one. When we have vamps against the herione its easy to judge them. Like the characters of Bhabis doesn't deserve a thinking but when two good hearted heriones are hurting each other its difficult to tell who is right and who is wrong. For me both of them are brave to have their own opinions. Its easier to fight enemy but difficult to fight your own family.

Awesome post.
U have put the questions from the perspective of both mother & daughter.

It is really not possible to tell who is right & who is wrong. Perhaps both are right from their POV.

It was a very emotional & touching convo between mother & daughter.

As a child we may feel, mother is unnecessarily speaking but she loves her child like anything and we can't understand the pain she goes through. Even though she was harsh with Gayatri but the pain in inside her was visible. She doesn't want society to raise fingers at her daughter.

Mother is like the Earth and the child is like a tiny seed. The seed believes it has been swallowed by the Earth but the Earth actually is providing protection to the seed so that it can borne a healthy sapling.

Who said she is Manglik?
Those articles were misleading i think.
Actually she is not Manglik but considered unlucky as her fiance died in small age.
