rana is the title given to rajputs or royal in india, it can be used separately like in our case or mergered with a name, it can be used in the front of a name or at the end

its not used by non royals (well at least thats what i know, but then these days even non royals have royal names like MJ's son is called Prince)

All this mattered a lot in that Era .. there was a definite distinction b/w commoners and royals . Times have changed... wid that people s views.

Those days royalty was something different all togther... Like in today's epi despite being soo rich Govind s Seth s whole family was awed by the royal party

I think thts what the CVS wanted to portray

Siddhant's character's name in show is Indravadansinghdev.

Like how Britishers in those times used to have Lord title before their name and their names never used to be w/o the title (Lord Mountbatten for ex.), Ranaji is title used for Kings (espl. Rajput kings of Central India) and it's never separated from King's name. So just like how we say Queen Victoria or Queen Elizabeth of Britain, here the name is Rana Indravadansinghdev.

It is not his name. It is a title given to the king in those days
Remember he refers to his father as Bade Ranaji

And his name in show is Indravadhan singh
