I hardly read any ff's but I came across this by chance and it looks very promising to me. its such a difficult concept to get right but you've done an amazing job. So Rana has married Gayatri for her own good but she is still very young and unruly whilst Rana is a disciplined and very stern man.
From both the first update and prologue it looks like Gayatri is very rebellious especially to tell someone much elder then herself that she has the power throw her out of the kingdom? (Something along those lines anyway but it was very courageous of her! )

I suppose its to do with age don' t all kids go through that phase but it looks like Rana has seen what he thinks is ill behavior from the start so he maybe inclined to punish her to teach her a lesson.
He seems like a very firm personality who has no tolerance for insolence and so what remains to be seen is how hard he really is on Gayatri.
Although it seems harsh .. the difference between right and wrong, acceptable and unacceptable has to taught at a early age and I get the feeling others like Ranas mother may have pampered Gayatri because her circumstances.

Looking forward to seeing where you take this but i hope we don't end up with both parting ways due to the age difference because i feel that would be quite predictable.
