Part 1
Gayatri is doing morning aarti. She requests her mom for one day leave for servant ( Girdhari ) kaka. The younger sis in law reasons that he took leave last month. Gayatri reasons that its a long time. His daughter is sick. Let him go. The elder sis in law says its all drama. The kaka says rest assured will return on time. Let Gayatri come with me if you want. The elder sis in law taunts whats the proof that you will come back that we let Gayatri go with you. Gayatri reasons with her mom that you understand a daughters pain dont you, especially one who was sent back by her in laws without any fault of hers. Her mom refuses. Gayatri puts her hand on the burning aarti and says nothing hurts more than when the heart burns. Let my hand and heart burn. Her mom is scared and tries to check her burns. Gayatri asks her mom to let her go. Her mom asks for lep and says letting kaka go alone. Gayatri asks for more lep as she will burn her other hand.Her mom chides her for being stubborn. Her dad says she is as stubborn as her mom. She says be back before sunset or you wont see your mom alive. Gayatri says never broken your trust before and wont break now.
Rajmata comes to talk to Rana and says need to discuss the new plan for levying higher taxes. Rana says not possible have to be some place else. Rajmata says dont know of your time schedule these days. Rana says was unscheduled. Have to meet a fellow soldier. Rajmata says this is not battlefield. You are the king. You need to maintain some stature and dignity. Rana says its all in our mind. There is no difference between battlefield or palace. Life is no less than a battle. Rajmata asks Rana to have a look at the proposal. He says will do and get back about it. He is in the car and checks the proposal. Meantime Rajmata hopes that Rana will approve the proposal as it will ease their financial woes.
Gayatri is in the horse drawn cart and wonders where is Rana ji and why she hasnt spotted him yet. She asks the horse cart driver to drive slowly. Kaka says we will get late to reach. Gayatri says wanna see the surroundings. She looks up and spots Rana jis car and smiles happily. She spots its going far and asks Kaka to tell the driver to hurry up as she will get late to reach his village. Kaka is confused. Gayatri says you promised mom we will reach home in time, hurry. Kaka agrees and tells driver.
The villages apprise Rana about the situation and says how it hasnt rained and there is barely any crop. The villagers say half the amount from the meager crop gets deposited to the treasury of the Palace and remaining to the British. Bhano tells Rana that a lake-water line was built by palace for these villagers. Rana asks the villagers why then there is shortage of water. The villagers say that they need to pay tax on that water. Rana asks who allowed to recover tax on the water from our lake. The villagers say his uncle and the British. They apprise how based on higher tax paid, more water is released. Rana is furious and says wanna see that place rightaway.
Gayatri tells Imli (Kakas daughter) that there are two ways to lead the life. Think about what happened and how. Or hope for a better future. I used to think a lot earlier but now looking forward to life as i have a new friend, DREAMS. Imli asks Gayatri about her dreams. Gayatri says i dream that a lot of happiness is coming in my life. One fine day suddenly that happiness comes and stands in front of me. She looks up and spots Rana walking towards the lake. Gayatri is delighted to see him and runs towards him but Imli-Kaka warn Gayatri about slope ahead and to be careful. But its too late, she slips and falls in the lake. All scream and shout. Gayatri is drowning as Rana and his men spot her too.
Part 2
Rana takes off his coat and jumps in the lake and swims swiftly towards a drowning Gayatri. Gayatri is struggling and finally Rana reaches her and carries her in his arms towards the lake shore. Rana lays an unconscious Gayatri on the ground and says her breathing is too shallow. Kaka asks what to do now. Rana rubs Gayatris hand. He says if they dont give oxygen it will be difficult to save her. There is no hospital nearby. We need to give her mouth to mouth oxygen.
Part 3
Rana bends down and comes close to Gayatri. His lips are near Gayatris. All the surrounding people are shocked. Right then she turns her face and coughs. Rana helps Gayatri to sit up. Gayatri opens her eyes and eyelock with Rana. She feels dizzy and cold. Rana asks for his jacket. He helps Gayatri to stand up. Suddenly she trips and he helps her to sit on the ground. Rana asks Gayatri if she is fine an who she is. He says saw you at the library too. Kaka is about to introduce her but stops and says she is my daughter. Rana is holding Gayatris hand and gets up. Bhanu asks all surrounding people to leave. Rana offers to drop them off back home but Kaka says will manage. Thank you. Gayatri watches as Rana removes his hand from hers and walks back. He tells his men its time to leave. Rana walks off. Imli-Kaka help Gayatri to stand up. She watches Rana walk away. Suddenly he turns and looks at her and she smiles. He walks away.
Precap --- Rajmata gets a notice from Govind Seth and tears off and says will surely answer this. Gayatris dad says the reason for the arrogance of Rajmata- the Crown and the Palace are both in debt of Govind Seth. Gayatri is back home and her dad - mom watch as she is standing wet wearing a jacket. Her elder sis in law asks whose jacket is this . Whats happening since last 4 years wont happen now. My uncle and British will realize that the King of this Kingdom is back.
