Are Viren & Kusum at fault for letting loose?

Hi all,
The recent turn of events in the show has definitely led to hurting hearts and sour relationships, which may never heal completely.

While it is mausa and chandra at fault for what happened on the D-day, can we say Viren and Kusum are larger fault for not being enough strict with these people, for hurting sentiments of Sethias in the past incidents?

Chandra made huge and hurtful mistakes in the past, which are not so easy to overlook. For example taking proposal on Mittals' behalf to Rishi, or insulting Sarita and accusing Sethias for the bridal lehengha even without inquiring what could have possibly gone wrong.

Masi- masa insulting Sethias over Mehendi wali, as if Sethias deliberately told her to steal the Silver kachrota. Or Masi-masa badly insulting Nishant for trying to give surprise to Saanchi.

And for all this, the actual culprits were never sorry for their mistakes. Viren scolded them for their mistakes but never really ensured or warned them on not to repeat such mistakes in future.

On the other hand, Neelima made one mistake of doubting Saanchi and she was properly remanded by all the elders and young ones in the family. Sethias made sure the she had realised her mistakes and won't do such a thing again. They also made her to apologise to Saanchi.

But come to Viren and Kusum: - While they always pointed out what went wrong, they never really controlled their interfering relatives, and let things a bit too lose leading to this disaster.

Viren, even after knowing hat Chandra is behind the scene, has just scolded her, but has not really taken any action to ensure that she keeps out of Saanchi's matters.

Would it be fair to say that Viren and Kusum (as Saanchi's parents) are at bigger fault?

Hoping to know everyone's views

Hai.
Thought ful post yaar yes.viren should have not let them loose
But Viren respects the mausi and mausi as his parents and Chandra is a mother like to him so may he could not be that strict to them and warned them.
And coming to sethiyas Neelima has elders in the house who made her understand properly.

Absolutely agree... We live in a day and age where people have freedom to think and express their views. We don't live in a world where ladki wala is superior or that the ladka family has to be treated like Gods.
The whole root of this is money status society wedding rituals...

The new generations are making different rules and traditions, they don't want to follow the old traditions if they were clearly senseless.

What is interesting about this show is. the Mittals are a "newly" rich family where is the Sethias are "old" rich. They have more class, tradition, rules, but they and all there memebers seem to be more "open" minded then the Mittals. That's such an interesting point.

In my mind, the Mittals need to have more principals, and should stand up to their elders if the rules don't make sense. Viren keeping quiet shows how weak he is, and needs to grow as a person...

Diwakar is a better and more sophisticated leader!

I liked viren's gesture of helping diwakar as he considered them as one family..i likedd that sequence very much..however it was his responsibility to make sure nobody from his family ehsan jatao on them..he cud not convince his sister for the allaince forget everythingg else. On the top of it her double face..she expects sethias to forget as if nothing happened them she gets confused over it. If someone said something to sanchi she may be ready for instant divorce but they can insult sethias again and again and get away with it..

The new gen till now is only fighting over what elders r doing and elders are excused in every matter bec they are elders..thats how it is in the serial..

Well said abt viren and diwakar👏

Viren's problem is that Chandra is his ELDER sister, and moreover she has left her husband and lives with him
A) He has a lot of affection, respect and gratitude towards her
B) He cannot ask her to mind her own business as she will feel alienated.

He is too good a man to really chide his elders.

Also Kusum is a very soft person whereas Chandra is dominating. See how Chandra goes first to hug Sanchi without even thinking that maybe the mother will want to greet her daughter? Kusum allows Chandra to have a say in everything. The personalities are such - we cannot blame them

I have to say - Well done, creative team - for bringing us a range of interesting characters who propel the story forward!

I agree with all your analysis. But sooner or later, Viren will have to control Chandra, because she doesn't hesitate in showing off her unnecessary ego, which causes larger displeasure to everyone.
Viren may have his respect for her as his elder sister or sympathy for her as she is left without her husband, but he can't let loose and allow her to cause rifts in Saanchi's life.

I hope someone does make her realise that she is going overboard.

But thanks a lot for replying and participating 😊

I agree that all the characters are realistically sketched so far.
