Hey guys, I've been a silent member on this forum but seeing the rank drop so much I thought I should be more active..
Okay, so ever since I heard that Krystle was going to be part of a new show I started following the progress, watched all the promos and it really stuck out. I love how her previous show was the love between two sisters and this time it's between a MIL and her DIL.
I've really enjoyed the show so far, especially the first week. the relationship between SaSha was amazing and I loved how they met each other.. It's so fresh to see this kind of friendship and genuine love between a MIL & DIL. I really dislike the rest of the Modi family.. especially Mr Modi, it's obvious that his taunts and cold attitude towards his wife has rubbed off on his kids (apart from Karan... who seems to be the only one to respect his mother)
Sharda and Suresh are poles apart.. I don't like how she's almost like a servant to him (although, that is quite realistic for some wives in the older gen, not to offend anyone)
I don't understand how he can blame her for being uneducated and if he's that embarrassed and annoyed about it then why doesn't he do something about it.. They've been married for like 30ish years in all those years he could have easily hired someone or even teach her himself - just the basics atleast.
He doesn't seem to have even an ounce of respect for her let alone love. That has most definitely rubbed off on the kids who have the same characteristics as their father.. especially Latika. Chirag I can understand to some extent because he's a teenager and most teenagers are like that. But sometimes what he says and does is way out of order.. for instance the whole college thing that pissed me off.
Coming to Latika.. sometimes I like her and sometimes I really start hating her. I hate her double standards. She seems to think that she does more work than her mum by handling business and family... well I don't see her handling a family, she's always at her fathers house can't seem to take care of her daughter and is horrible to her husband ( who really needs to stand up for himself) I feel like he is the 'Sharda' in their relationship. It seems as if Latika is going to cause problems for Sakshi, not necessarily in the typical evil way we usually see on tv but I think she's going to start disliking Sakshi especially her relationship with Sharda. I didn't like the way she treated Sakshi the other day when all she was doing was asking a simple question.
Dadi is an okay character, she seems to join in when everyone laughs at Sharda which I think is unfair.. Can't wait to see Sakshi by her Ma's side and I want her to react the way she did when those kids at the station were being rude.
KaSak- at first I didn't think I would like their pairing (especially because I'm a big Kryan fan). But I must say this pairing is really starting to grow on me and they have great chemistry.. it will be a treat to watch them fall in love.. especially Karan because of the way he's been treating her lately.
All in all, I'm really enjoying the show. BUT- like some people have said it can get a little preachy sometimes and I think the Sharda insulting is too much :/
I didn't enjoy Friday's epi so much maybe because Saksi was barely in it. I really want the show to do well, it's such a refreshing concept with a great cast!
LOL this has turned into an essay, I hope didn't bore you all.. please please do leave your thoughts, it will be nice to have a discussion and we really need to get the rank back up!
