PART 3: WHEN TWO FIRECRACKERS MEET...

K: " damn it!!!, she said slamming her phone on the bed.

P: " kya hogaye darling? Morning itself mood kharab..., she said while fixing her hair to go to office.

T: " what would have happened? The same thing.. they must have called and said, we are sorry miss.. the job is given to another more suitable candidate.. better luck next time..'. . Am i right?, tanvi interrupted.

Kalpi sat on the bed with a huff...

Pakhi went and sit beside her.

P: " hey... babe.. its ok... keep trying.. u will get the job..., saying so she circled her arm around kalpi giving her a hug.

T: " oh come on... this is mumbai.. u wont get the job easily... u know u can always tell ur identity and get the job.. but u being Miss Independent doesnt wanna use ur father's name..

K: " yes i am.. im tired of living in the shadow of my dad.. i wanna achieve something on my own.. if i have to use my dad's name for everything, I wouldn't be here...

"Yes, young lady... u wouldnt be here... and not gonna be here anymore.., a voice came near the door...

The trio looked towards the door to find a very elegant lady standing there..

"MOM!!!, kalpana said with wide eyes.

P&T: " mom? She is ur mom?, kalpi looked shocked.

L: " yes... im Leela Jaichand.. kalpana's mom..., she said entering the room followed by Janvi, kalpi's maasi who had an apologetic look on her face.

Janvi explained how accidentally kalpi was in the picture she sent to leela..

Leela started packing kalpi's dress in a luggage..

K: " im not going anywhere... and u cant make me come with you..,she said adamantly.

L: " oh.. well.. if not me, ur father will young lady..

Tears started forming on kalpi's eyes but not slipping. Tanvi and pakhi hold her close to them.

K: " why cant u n dad understand? That i want to achieve something on my own.. i feel tired being a bird caged in the golden cage.., she said.

L: " ur father wants the best for u...

K: " yes he wants the best for me.. but not what I want..., she said with her voice cracking.

J: " di... pls... listen to her once..

L: " fine.. let me ask u.. six months.. six months since u left home.. do u have a job? A career? No... what did u achieve in these six months?

K: " I am searching for a job... pls give me sometime..., she pleaded.

L: " fine.. 24 hours... thats all u get... u get a job in 24 hours or u pack ur things and come back hime with me..

K: " 24 hours? How that..

L: " 24 hours... thats all u have..., she said sternly.

K: " fine.. even if i get the job, dad's not gonna let me be here.., she said bitterly.

L: " i havent told ur father.. nobody knows u are here except me.. not even sanjana and karan (her siblings)..

A small smile formed in kalpi's face..

L: " come on kalpana jaichand ... u have only 24 hours left...




After two hours...

K: " what the f***, she cursed when not even a single taxi stopped for her...

She has been walking in the streets with her file...

K: "24 hours!!! What can i do in 24 hours? God!!! Why me? Why did u make me a jaichand?, she asked god looking up at the sky.

When she looked to front she saw a middle aged man looking at her as if he saw some crazy person.

K: " IM NOT CRAZY!!!, she snapped and walked away from there with a hump.

On the other side...

R: " what happened Prakash?, he asked his chauffeur.

P: " dont know ragahv.. break down i guess.., he said trying to restart the car but failed.

(Raghav never thought prakash as his chauffeur... he is more like a friend to him..)

R: " oh.. really? Im getting late for the meeting..@, he said while looking at his watch...

P: " let me ask sammy to pick up u..

R: " no.. it will be late... i will take a taxi from here.., saying so he started walking.

And "BOOOMMM!!!

"What the f***?, a voice shouted.

Raghav looked up to find a girl who was covered with coffee as a result of the collision he guessed.

R: " thank god.., he mumbled looking at himself as his clothes were not messed up.

K: " hey mister!!!, she said angrily.

Raghav raised his eyebrows and looked behind to see if she is talking to someone else.

K: " hey u!!! Where r u looking?

R: " u r talking to me?, he asked pointing his index finger to himself.

K: " no... to ur great grandfather!!!, she hissed..

R: " haha.. noway.. he died even before i was born.., he said laughing.

K: " do u think its funny u dumbhead?, she said angrily.

R: " dumbhead? Me?, he asked surprised on how this unknown girl is swearing at him.

K: " yes u!!! U hideous monkey faced creature.. look what u did?, she said furiously wiping the coffee stains from her dress...

She cursed him and walked away... raghav stood there shocked..

R(to himself): " hideous? Monkey face?, he whispered in confusion while his hands rubbed his face...

The sound of phone ringing caused him to come back to real world. When he checked his phone, but it wasnt his.. then he saw another phone on the floor.. he took it and saw the photo of the girl who just fought with him... it was her phone.. raghav looked around for her but she was not seen anywhere... he ran to find her.. and finally found her walking talking angrily to herself.

R: " hey... miss... whatever ur name is.. wait.., he ran after her shouting...

Kalpi stopped and looked at him angrily like an angry bull...

K: " what the hell do u want mister?, she shouted keeping her hands on the hip.

Raghav forwarded her phone..

K: " how rude!!! U just met me... now asking for my number? U perv!!!, saying so she broke the phone.

Raghav crossed his arms against his chest calmly...

R: " that was urs...

K: "huh?

R: " ur phone.., he said raising his eyebrow...

Kalpi widened her eyes and picked up the remains of her phone while closing her eyes in frustration...

R: " hey miss... too much anger is not good for health.., he said winking his eyes while sitting inside the taxi that just stopped.

Kalpi looked at him angrily... when the taxi left, it left splattering some mud on her...

K: " F***!!!, she shouted closing her eyes...

Raghav laughed inside the taxi hearing her voice...

PART 4: WE MEET AGAIN...

K: " thank god I brought a pair of clothes with me... That jerk... argghhh... im never seeing him again..., she said getting out of the public toilet after changing her coffee-spilled dress.

K: " oh shit... its 10 o'clock ready... the interview will start in half an hour.. I should hurry..., she called for the taxi which by god's grace stopped this time.

K: " bhaiya... Head to the Sapphire..., she said while settling at the back seat of the taxi while looking at her file.

At Sapphire...

S: " u know uncle asked us to appoint this girl.. whats her name? huhhh... Kalpana... Kalpana Jashwal..., he told Raghav who was sitting on his chair while looking at some sketches of new designs.

R: " u know what I really hate recommendations... but dad wants me to hire this one..., he said uninterested.

S: " come on yaar... this girl seemed to be daughter of some employee of Sunil uncle...

R: " daughter of employee of sunil uncle? Great..., he said raising his eyebrows.

S: " yeah.. that employee seems to be in good books of sunil uncle... he pleaded for a job for his daughter... middle class family u know..

R: " huh... people who gets something by the influence of others wont appreciate it.., he said not impressed by the future employee he has never seen before.

S: " she's not bad though... she has good record in her resume... pretty impressive...

R: " whatever... she already got the job as we can't say no the company's chairman( he meant his father)..

S: " gosh... what's with the face? Poor girl.. what she is gonna go through being ur assistant?

R: " well... let me teach her importance of achieving something with one's own hard work instead of getting recommendations of others..., he said giving a fake smile to Sammy to which Sammy shook his head knowing very well ragahv gonna make the girl's life a living hell.

Kalpi reached the Sapphire building and rushed towards the lift... It was about to close but she pressed the button before it does... There was a girl already in there... Kalpi gave a polite smile to her which she seemed to ignore. Kalpi frowned and just stared in front waiting for the lift to reach the 5^th floor...

G: " papa... why don't u understand? It's wrong to get a job under someone's recommendation... don't u believe in my talent?, the girl talked furiously in the phone..

K(in mind): " girl with principle... but.. wait.. which job she is talking about? The job I came for? How could they appoint someone without interview?, she thought to herself cursing the boss.

The girl cut the call and her face was red in anger... she pressed the ground floor button..

K: " hey... isn't the interview on 5^th floor?

The girl threw her file on the floor furiously before leaving the lift once it reached the ground floor.. kalpi stood there confused...

K: " weirdo..., saying so she took the girl's file in her hand...

She reached the 5^th floor... she headed towards the receptionist...

K: " I came for an interview..., saying so she gave her file...

She accidentally gave the girl's file instead of hers as both were same colour..

The receptionist checked her file...

Rec: " u can collect ur staff id card from the third floor and start ur job... after getting ur id, pls go meet boss at the cabin...

K: " wait... what do u mean by that? There's no interview?

Rec: " ermm... no miss Jashwal... the job is already urs bcs u got recommendation... now if u will excuse me..., saying so the receptionist left kalpi after giving her file back to her...

K(self talk): " miss jashwal? What?, she checked her file and saw that she mistakenly gave the other girl's file instead of hers.

K: " Kalpana Jashwal? Gosh I gave the wrong file... what should I do? No its wrong.. I should clear the mess.

She went to the toilet thinking she can call her friends...

K(self talk): " where the hell is my phone?, she checked her bag repeatedly.

Then she remembered the morning incident..

K: " JERK!!, she cursed him again...

There was another lady in the toilet... She was doing some touch up to her make up... she kinda looked like plastic kalpi thought...

K: " excuse me miss... if u don't mind can I use ur cellphone... its really urgent..., she asked that girl...

Y: " Yamini...

K: " Pardon?, she asked raising her eyebrow..

Y: " miss Yamini Mehta... my name... the main model of Sapphire... and the girlfriend of the boss..., she said flipping her hair like a diva...

Kalpi was so irritated by her but she masked her emotions as she needs a phone right now...

K: " oh yes maam... sorry maam.. im new here.. pls.. if u don't mind can I use ur phone? Pls..., she asked making the most innocent face...

Yamini looked at her from head to toe with an uninterested face before handing her phone... kalpi went to a corner and called the girls while yamini was busy pulling her dress down to make her tits become more visible...

Kalpana explained everything to the girls..

P: " kalpi.. just go n clear up the mess...

T: "Are u mad? It's a golden opportunity... just use it and get the job... anyways there are not much differences... u r Kalpana Jaichand... but gonna pretend to be Kalpana Jashwal... half a lie..

K: " god.. girls.. it is wrong.. I shouldn't be doing this..

T: " well.. then u should do another thing... come home, pack ur things and fly back home with ur mother.., she said sarcastically...

K: " what?, she asked in cracked voice.

P: " gosh tanvi... don't scare her... but kalpi u know she has a point... just for few days... till ur mother believes u and leaves u here... then u can resign this job and look for another..

K: " are u sure girls?

T: " yes... unless u r so eager to meet ur father..., she said sarcastically gaining a beat from pakhi.

Y: " oi... hello... can I get my phone back?, she asked in demanding voice.

K: " ok girls... I will meet u guys at home..., saying so she cut the call and gave the phone back to yamini.

K: " thank you.., she said with a smile...

Y: "whatever.., saying so she left after flipping her hair...

K(self talk): " bloody plastic..., she muttered under her breath...

She looked at herself through the mirror before drawing a deep breath...

K: " kuch dino ki baath hai... I can do it.., she motivated herself before leaving the toilet and going to the third floor to collect the staff id...

After getting the id, she went back to the 5^th floor... she looked around to find the boss's cubicle but couldn't find it.. she bumped into someone while searching...

K: " im sorry...

The man bent down to take her id...

Man: " So u r the one?

K: " pardon?

Man: " the new assistant..

K: " oh yeah..., she said.

S: " well... im Samar Srivasthav @Sammy... ur boss's cousin... and a partner of this company..., he said extending his hand while giving a boyish smile.

K: " hi sir... im kalpana jai..(she cleared her throat)... Jashwal...Nice to meet u..

S: " cut the sir crap... call me Sammy... gosh if I had known u r this pretty, I would have made u my assistant instead of my cousin's assistant.., he said winking.

Kalpi chuckled looking at his antics.. she found him really cute and genuine...

K: " I wish im ur assistant after seeing that killer smile.., she flirted back...

S: " wow.. u r too good sweetie... but too late... u have to work with that angry lion.. all the best..

Kalpi frowned..

K: " ok.. thank u... if u don't mind, where is the boss's cabin?

S: " the lion resides in a place far from others secluded..., saying so he showed her the way to the boss's cabin before leaving her..

K: " RAGHAV ARYAN PATEL..., she read the nameplate on the cabin door.

She knocked on the door.. a firm voice asked her to come inside... when she entered, she saw the person was sitting facing the wall... he asked her to sit..

K: " Good morning sir... im Kalpana Jashwal... ur new assistant..., she said professional tone...

The person turned around making her eyes widen... Raghav's situation was no less... he was shocked to see the girl who earlier called him dumbhead', hideous monkey face' is his new assistant...

K: "TUM!!!!, she asked waking up abruptly from her chair making raghav to come out of his daze.

K: " what r u doing here?, she asked angrily crossing her arms across her chest.

R: " well... let me ask u the same? What r u doing here miss?, he was standing as well..

K: " wait.. r u a peon or something? And u r sitting on ur boss's chair when he is not around..., she came up with her own theory.

Raghav was shocked to the core.

R: " PEON??!! Me?? Am I looking like a peon to u? unbelievable...

K: " then what? U r Raghav Aryan Patel?, she asked laughing.

And her eyes fell on the photos on the wall such as him receiving businessman of the year award.. her smile faded... she looked back at him... he was already staring at her while his arms crossed against his chest... kalpi gulped...

K: "u...r... Mr Raghav Aryan Patel... my...boss...,she said like cat got her tongue.

Raghav just raised his eyebrow giving the Yes I AM' look...

K: " I f***ed up.., she muttered under her breath...

R: " careful with the words lady..

K: " ok... here.. the id... I will..i will... just leave..., saying so she was about to leave...

R: " where do u think u r going?

K: " u fired me.. so...

R: " who said I fired u?

K: " u didn't ?, she asked questioning.

R: " u got a recommendation from sunil uncle... so u have the job... but don't expect any leniency from me..., he warned.

K: " sunil uncle?

R: " ur father's employer...

K: " oh... yeah.. employer.., she said nervously...

Raghav went and sat on his chair..

R: " now go n get me a cup of coffee..., he said..

K: " EXCUSE ME?

R: " what? U r my assistant... ur job is to do what I ask u do...

K: " why so?

R: " because I SAY SO!, he said giving a winning look...

Kalpana gritted her teeth...

K: " yes sir...

R: " and yeah... call me boss.., he said giving a smirk..

K: " YES BOSS!, saying so she left the cubicle cursing her fate...

After she left,

R(self talk): " this is going to be fun..., he smiled..
