Sorry for the rather late comment. It will be a sin not to appreciate this lovely update. Glad that Rags has realized what true love is. Though Maya is not an evil character but her greed for Rags love has made her act as she did. But she has accepted 'defeat' gracefully. Your update is a 'gem' ! It was like getting a peal from an oyster in a rather deep ocean !!!! Please do update when possible. Thanks

Chapter 12 - incomplete

Kalpi smiles softly, her gaze meeting her father's. She says emotionally, "it's your turn to come home now. Placing her hand on his arm, she adds, "you have to do as the physio says. I want to see you as you were.

Relief etched on his features as he sees his daughter hale and hearty. His gaze scanning, looking for any sign that would show that Kalpi had suffered. Slowly and painstakingly, he says,, "I will. Frowning at the breathlessness the mere two words caused him.

Toweling her hair dry, Kalpi smiles as she sees her mum sitting on her bed. Dropping the towel on the chair, Kalpi climbs onto her bed on all fours. Placing her head on her mother's lap, she says with a deep sigh as she inhales her mother's scent, "I am home. Taking her mum's hand, she kisses the inside of her palm and clasps it close to her heart, saying softly, "I have missed you, Mum.

Neetu smiles, with her other hand she caresses Kalpi's hair and says, "I have missed you too. You are home now.

Taking the stairs two at a time, Kalpi smiles as she rushes downstairs, her stomach grumbling aloud as she thinks of the delicious food her mother must have prepared for breakfast.

Walking quickly towards the dining table, Kalpi calls out with a smile, "mummy, I am starving. She freezes as her gaze meets Ragav's as her mind tries to grasp what her eyes sees... huh... what's Ragav doing here... why is he having breakfast here... why is mum serving him...

Sensing her discomfort with his presence, Ragav quickly gulps down the remainder of his hot tea, scalding his mouth in the process. Showing no discomfort, he quickly gets up from the dining table, says a quick hello to Kalpi and a quick goodbye to Neetu and rushes out on a pretext of being late for a meeting.

Watching him rush off, Neetu shakes her head thinking, "he needs to slow down.

Trying to be nonchalant, Kalpi asks as she sits down, "why was he having breakfast here? Where is he rushing off to?

Neetu sits on the seat next to her daughter's and replies, "Ragav has moved back to the cottage. He temporarily handling the business... until dad gets well.

Food forgotten, Kalpi sips some hot tea as she mutters to herself, "I see. Scalding her tongue, she drops the tea cup and yells, "ouch.

Once outside, Ragav starts fanning his mouth, yelping, "hot...hot...hot...
