Hello peeps... how are you?
Oh! Do I hear groaning and moaning... another story!... it's gonna be incomplete!... should I even bother reading it... or should I wait for 2027 when the story will be completed (fingers crossed)... :)

One shot
For the weak hearted... a warning... it is a tragedy.
The atmosphere at the arena was charged. The citizens from the two kingdoms, sworn enemies for generations waited with anticipation at the neutral ground. The arena was packed, filled with curious spectators, all wondering how a slip of a girl was going to defeat the mighty Ragav from the Kingdom of Singhania.
Kalpi walks into the arena, straight towards her father, the King of Jhadav. She stops several feet away, meets his gaze with confidence and promise... her memories race to the day she made a blood oath to her father...

<font color="#0000ff">Jhadav palace</font>
<font color="#0000ff">Kalpi watches the bodies of her three older brothers carried into the assembly hall. The air was filled with despair as she watches her father cry out in pain over the loss of his beloved sons. Silent tears fall as she realises that she will never see her brothers again. Her shoulders stoop with the weight of the loss and unnecessary death as she wonders again why the senseless wars never stopped. Wearily she wonders when the dead bodies would stop. A mature perspective for someone so young.</font>
<font color="#0000ff">The king walks up towards his seven year old daughter. His gaze icy cold, filled with suppressed grief, he kneels in front of her, so that they are of a similar height. He says, "you are the last of my blood."</font>
<font color="#0000ff">Kalpi watches him, startled, her tiny heart going pitter patter, thinking with guilty joy, "father is talking to me... father is looking at me... father is holding my hand..." her gaze falls to her hand which is engulfed in her father's.</font>
<font color="#0000ff">The king continues, asking, "will you avenge the death of your brothers?" Kalpi nods her tiny head, eager to please her father.</font>
<font color="#0000ff">"Will you bring me the head of the crown prince of Singhania?" Starved for her father's affection and attention, nodding, Kalpi says softly, "I will." Her heart crying out silently, "I will do anything you want father... please never abandon me... never shun me."</font>
<font color="#0000ff">Taking the dagger from his waist belt, the king gives it to Kalpi saying, "will you make a blood oath?"</font>
Raising her sword, Kalpi salutes her father, turns to face her opponent. Meeting his gaze confidently... she falters... confusion etched on her pretty features... her mind in shambles... thinking... what? Why? How?
Ragav meets her gaze with sad eyes, gives her a weak smile as he reads her confusion and says, "we have not been formally introduced... I am the crown prince of Singhania, Ragav."
Numb as she processes this new information, Kalpi stares at Ragav, surprised, her heart shattering into tiny fragments as it engulfs with pain. Her gaze darts between the two men she loves.
Watching her struggle, Ragav scolds, "a warrior's oath is everything... did I make a mistake in accepting to train you?" Their memories race to when they first met...

<font color="#0000ff">Somewhere in the middle of the forest.</font>
"<font color="#0000ff">Clang... clang..." Kalpi's ears perk up to the sound. Excited she races towards the origin of the sound, wondering, "who could it be in this god forsaken forest." It had been weeks since she had stepped into the forest and she was yet to meet another soul.</font>
<font color="#0000ff">Hiding behind a large tree trunk, Kalpi watches two warriors fight in the clearing ahead. It was obvious to her that both warriwors were highly skilled and that it was more of a training than an actual fight.</font>
<font color="#0000ff">Impressed, she walks up to them once they finish with their training. Dropping on to her knees before the larger of the two warriors, Kalpi says, "I have a request. Please accept me as your student... please train me."
Reading the determination in her gaze, Ragav is taken aback. Curious he asks, "why do you want to train in sword fight?"
"There is someone I must kill," Kalpi replies seriously.
