PART 13
Raghav parked his black Audi in his garage.. He came back home after 3 days of the fight.. He was staying in his farmhouse.. He rang the doorbell only to be opened by Alvin (servant).. He went straight to his room to see kalpi.. On the way to the room,
R(in mind): " i hurt her so much.. She must be very worried for the past three days.. Its ok.. I will say sorry to her.. She will forgive me..", he mentally told himself.. When he opened the room door, he was only greeted by emptiness..
He went to the balcony of the room and searched her all over the house but she was nowhere seen.. Raghav came to the living hall and called alvin to ask about kalpi's whereabouts.. Alvin said she was not at home since the past three days.. Raghav ran his hand through his hair in frustration.. He went to his study..He called her and waited for the call to be answered...
Kalpi was lying on her maa's lap while her mother was trying to divert her daughter's mind.. The sound of phone ringing caught their attention.. It flashed " Love".
Kalpi woke up from her mother's lap and stared at her phone.. Pooja left the room to let her have some time.. Kalpi just stared at the phone screen while tears were flowing through her eyes..
On the other side, raghav kept trying her number and get frustrated.. There were 56 missed calls in kalpi's phone.. Raghav paced here and there in his study room.. He looked at his phone for a while and sighed.. He called again..
And this time the call got connected.. He was so happy.. And he started,
R: " kalpi, honey.. Where are u? Look im very sorry... Im really very very sorry..I shouldn't..", before he could continue,
"Saying sorry doesnt justify ur behaviour..", someone said in murderous tone..
It was div.. Pooja, anirudh, shreya and kalpi were standing there with him.. The phone was on speaker..
R: " div? Is kalpi there?"
Di: " yes she is!!"
R: " i.. I wanna talk to her.. Give the phone to her.."
(Raghav and div never had cordial relationship as div never believed that raghav suits kalpi)
Di: " she doesnt want to talk to u.."
R: " div, just give the phone to MY WIFE!!" , he gritted in anger..
Di: " UR WIFE IS MY SISTER.. AND MY SISTER DOESNT WANNA SPEAK TO U!! DO U UNDERSTAND??", saying so he cut the call..
Raghav boiled like volcano.. He clenched his jaws and threw the phone on the floor breaking it into pieces.. He took his car keys and left the house..
At kalpi's house..
Sh: " div, u should have let her talk to him.."
Di: " shreya, u just stay out of this!!"
Sh: " but div.."
Divyan glared at her making her shut her mouth..
An: " div, i think raghav will come here for sure... So, pls just control ur anger..."
Di: " papa.. U want me to welcome that jerk?"
P: " div, papa is telling truth.. Behave urself.."
Di: " where is kalpi?"
P:" she is sleeping after taking the pain killers.."
The door bell rang... Ramu kaka (servant) opened the door revealing ragahv.. Raghav went inside the house only to see anirudh, pooja, div and shreya sitting there.. Kalpi was not there.. He lowered his head seeing the accusing glare from there.. He inhaled slightly...
R: " woh.. Uncle, where is kalpi? I want to meet her.."
An: " why do u want to meet her?", he asked coldly..
R: " what do u mean why i want to meet her? She is my wife... I have all rights to meet her.."
P: " wife? Did u treat her as ur wife raghav?"
Raghav closed his eyes in frustration.. Anger raised in him as he doesnt like ppl questioning him like that.. So, ignoring them,
R: " kalpi... Kalpi where are u? Kalpi..", he called out for her and about to climb the stairs to go upstairs to kalpi's room...
Divyan who was silent till now went towards raghav and pushed him on his chest..
R: " look, im not here to fight with u!! So, just stay out of this..."
Di: " what will u do? U think u hurt my sister and i will keep sitting quietly?", he asked pushing raghav away..
R: " kalpi!! Kalpi.. Come lets go home..."
But divyan punched him hard making raghav to boil in anger..
Anirudh, pooja and shreya tried to stop.. Raghav punched him back and they involved in fight.. As raghav is a boxer, he had upper arm in the fight.. He pushed divyan to the floor, and punched him repeatedly making his nose and mouth to bleed..
Sh: " raghav, stop it.. Raghav pls.."
Even pooja and anirudh tried stopping him but all went in vein..
Kalpi stirred slightly hearing the noise.. She squeezed her eyes slightly before opening her eyes..
K(self talk): " what's the noise downstairs?", she woke up from her bed and made her way out of the room towards the living hall..
When she came to the stairs, she saw raghav hitting her brother.. She panicked and ran downstairs...
K: " raghav!! What are u doing? Stop it!!", but he didnt stop..
Seeing blood on her brother's face, she couldnt control her anger.. She pulled raghav by his shoulder and slapped him hard on his cheek...
*Silence* persists for sometime.. They all looked on in shock..
K: "WHAT ARE U DOING? HOW DARE U HIT MY BHAIYA? HOW DARE U RAISE UR HAND AGAINST HIM?", she shouted..
Raghav looked at her while his hand resting on his cheek..
R: " u dont know that ur bhai didnt let me meet u.. Thats why i.."
K: " u raised ur hand against my bhaiya.."
R: " lets go home and talk..", saying so he held her wrist and turned to go..
Kalpi jerked his hand away.. He looked at her frowning..
K: " im not coming with u.."
R: " kyun?"
K: " because... (She closed her eyes remembering her unborn child.. A tear dropped from the corner of her eye).. Because U R A MONSTER!! U R A BEAST!!! A MONSTER WHO ONLY CARES ABOUT URSELF!! A MONSTER WHO NEVER CARES ABOUT OTHERS FEELINGS!!", she shouted..
Raghav gritted his teeth in anger.. Then he smirked..
R: " kalpi, im asking u for the last time... Come.."
Di: " she is saying nah.. She doesn't wanna come with u.. So, just get the hell out of here.."
R: " fine... Tomorrow my lawyer, mr sinha will come with the divorce papers.. Just sign it and end this UNWANTED RELATIONSHIP!!", saying so he went away..
Kalpi looked at him leaving with teary eyes.. His words echoed in her ears...
" JUST END THIS UNWANTED RELATIONSHIP!!!"
Pooja, anirudh, shreya were shocked..
P: " kalpi, u dont worry.. We will talk to raghav..", saying so she was holding kalpi's hands..
Kalpi released her hands and went to her room without saying a single word..
They looked at her broken form in worry... Kalpi locked the door and slide against the door and cried bitterly... The person who she loved the most want to end their relationship... She whimpered and sobbed because of the pain he caused today..
After two hours,
Anirudh opened the door to find his daughter lying on the ground.. Her eyes were red showing clearly that she cried.. Seeing her father she woke up.. Anirudh made her sit on the bed.. He caressed her head fondly..
An: " princess, dont worry.."
Kalpi looked at his face and hugged him tightly crying..
K: " papa, he didnt even care about our child.. He knew that i was pregnant, but not for once he cared about the child..."
(All of them thinks that raghav knew about her pregnancy but in reality he doesnt know)
K: " and u know papa.. He doesnt love me.. In fact he never loved me.. I was such a fool to think that he loved me.. Im such a fool papa.. I deserve this to go against u and marry him.. I deserve it.."
Anirudh consoled her and made her sleep..
