The office hours ended.. There was no much work for kalpi as it was her first day.. As soon as the clock strikes 5pm, she packed her belongings and ran back home..
However, raghav and sammy were chitchatting in raghav's cabin about business.. Suddenly , the cabin door flung opened.. Prem came inside followed by pakhi.. It was clearly seen they are exhausted plus there is frustration clearly visible in prem's face..
The duo sat on the chairs..
Sam: " kya hoga mr playboy? Miss neha turned down ur proposal hai kya?", he asked laughing...
Prem looked at him with narrow eyes..
Pa: " thats not the reason why his face is like a rotten pumpkin..", she said chuckling..
R: " then, what happened?"
Pa: " bhai, when mr singh was explaining about the procedures of the accounts, he was busy looking at the lady clerk working through the glass door.. And he was caught red-handed by mr singh and got an earful.. That's the reason, why our famous flirt expert is out of mood.."
Sammy started rofling while raghav laughed slightly..
Pr: " oh come on yaar.. Thats not funny.. I think mr singh shows the anger he cant show to his wife to me.. Im sure when he was young, all the girls rejected him.. And being so jealous of me, he scolds me.."
The other three shook their heads listening to his stupid reasoning... Soon, they four of them left the office to their heavenly home..
While on the other place,
Kalpi reached her rented house by bus.. Kalpi is staying with an elderly couple in their house.. She rented the upper potion of the house whereas the down potion is occupied by the elderly couple.. The couple are mr jagdish khurana (JK) who was ex-military man and mrs malini khurana..(MK)..Their only son is in US with his wife and son..
Kalpi rang the calling bell and mrs khurana opened the door..
K: " hi, aunty..", she said cheerfully..
MK: "hello, kalpana.. Come in beta.."
K: " aunty, i told u nah.. Call me kalpi...", she said pouting..
MK: " haha.. Sorry... Kalpana.. Oops kalpi.. Is it ok?", the lady asked chuckling.
K: " better..", and kalpi went inside the house..
K: " hi uncle," she greeted jagnish who was reading newspaper..
JK: " hello, kalpi dear.."
MK: " kalpi, come down after getting fresh, we will have coffee together.."
K: " ji, auntyji..", and she walked up the stairs to her room...
Her room is not so big.. It is a medium spaced room, simple and sweet like her.. She threw her sling bag the bed and made way towards her closet and picked her yellow shirt and brown colour shorts.. She made way to the bathroom with her clothes..
After half an hour, she joined mr and mrs khurana for coffee.. They were sitting around the round coffee table..
MK: " kalpi, how was ur interview?", she said passing the sugar towards her husband..
K: " aunty, the interview gone well.. Im selected.. And guess what?im the new supervising manager of Singhania Constructions..", she said smiling while sipping the coffee..
JK: " wow.. Then, i want party..", he said excited..
K: " haha.. Sure uncle.. When i get my first month salary, i will surely throw a party for u two..", she said laughing..
MK: " jagdish!! Tum bi nah... Kalpi, u dont have to do so.. Why u wanna waste ur money.."
K: " auntyji, what will i do with so much money? And a small treat for u two wont cost that much.. And i dont wanna miss going on a date with this handsome man..Am i right young man?", she asked winking at jagdish...
JK: " yeah sweetheart..Leave her. She is too old for our generation's customs.. Old lady..", he said hi-5ing with kalpi..
MK: " hahaan.. Like u r 18 yrs old youngster... Just because u dye ur hair, it doesnt mean u can hide ur age, u old man..", she said narrowing her eyes..
Kalpi enjoyed how cute the couple are even when they are in their old age.. The love never faded between them even at this age... She smiled
After talking to the elderly couple for a while, kalpi went to her room..
She was lying on stomach on her bed while her left hand supporting her chin and right hand scrolling the iPad screen.. She was reading "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Auston in iBooks... Her legs were going up and down alternatively..
All of a sudden, her phone rang.. She looked at the caller id.. It showed 'Maya'.. A small smile appeared on her face...
K: " hey, monkey.."
M: " kalpi!! Dont call me monkey..", she said angrily..
K: " kyun monkey?", she said in same tone..
M: " kalpi tum bi nah... Acha.. Chodo... How r u? Is there any problem? Does anyone disturb u? Did u go for interview? Should i come there? And do u miss me? I know u wont miss me.. After all u r so happy leaving me alone nah?", she fired all the questions in one breath.
K: " will u pls shut ur hyperactive mood right now? U r firing questions faster than firing bullets.."
Maya sighed..
M: " im worried about u..", she said sincerely in a soft tone..
Kalpi smiled at her care..
K: " ok.. My dear bestie.. I will answer ur questions one by one.. Im very good..i dont have any problem here.. In fact, all the ppl i met are awesome and nice towards me.. As for the interview, i got the job... There is no need for u to come here... And what u said i didnt miss u? Bloody piggie!! I miss u and all so much.. But... (A short pause...and sighed) ..Ok.. Leave it.. U wont understand.. Did i miss any of the questions?", she asked laughing slightly..
M: " kalpi.. Should i tell..", before she could continue..
K: " NO!! U promised me.. U wont do any stupid thing like that..", she said in a warning tone..
M: " fine!!", she said defeated as she very well know nobody can win an argument with kalpana sharma..
K: "ok.. Now tell me.. Hows my darling?"
M: " ur darling, that donkey is fine.. He havent come back yet from his business trip. So, for now im free from the question bank... I dont how im gonna manage him when he comes back..", she said worriedly..
K:"haha... U are scared of ur would be husband.. Haha...Aman is gonna torture u.. But, dont u dare blurt out the truth.."
M: " i will try.."
K: " what do u mean by try? Remember u swear on me that u wont tell anybody... If u tell them, then i will die.."
M: " kalpi!!!"
K: " ufff.. Sorry meri maa!!Fine?"
M: " kalpi, ur family is.."
K: " maya its late.. I have to go to work tomorrow.. So, bye..", and she cut the call..
Maya shook her head and sighed...
Kalpi was staring at empty space thinking of something.. After few seconds,
K(self talk): " oh god.. This maya monkey nah.. Spoilt my mood.. Kalpi, go girl... Go to sleep.. Dont think much.. Tomorrow gonna be a new "..
Before she sleep, she took out her diary and wrote that day's events..she writes diary since she was five... She cant sleep without doing that...
At singhania mansion,
All of them haven't sleep yet.. Raghav and sammy were with sahil in sahil's study room discussing some work related thing... prem and vikrant were in the living hall playing chess whereas pakhi was a audience of their world chess championship..lol... Dadaji was reading novel whereas dadi was talking with mansi and neetu about preparations for poojas..
After some while,
Sahil came down to the living hall followed by raghav and sammy...he came and sit beside prem on the sofa.. All gathered there..
Sah: " tomorrow, I'm going for business conference at London.. I will be back after a week.. So, i hope u all will take care of urselves.. Raghav sammy i hope u two can manage the business.."
R: " yes papa.."
Sam: " ji uncle.."
Sah: " prem...pakhi.. No badtameezi in office.. Am i clear?"
Pr: " bade papa we will make u proud..", while pakhi nodded..
Sah: " thats my boy..", he said ruffling prem's hair...
Sah: " so,tell me guys what u want me to buy for u in London?"
Pa: " papa... Buy me this designer dress nah.. U know they are going to launch it this week in london fashion gala... Pls pls.. Buy this for me papa..", she pleaded showing the dress in her iPhone...
Sam: " here comes the shopping freak... I think u have to buy a brand new huge wardrobe for her to fit all those thousands of clothes and shoes and make up kits...", he said to raghav but which was audible to all.. All laughed at it while pakhi looked at sammy with narrowed eyes..
Sah: " ok.. Princess.. Papa will buy it.. Pakka.. Prem what u want?"
Pr: " hmmm.. I want arsenal original jersey ( haha... I know.. Im a huge arsenal fan!!!!) with the number 14... And the brand new rolex watch..", he said grinning...
Ma: " prem, how many watches u want? U already have a dozen..", she scolded his son..
N: " mansi, chodo nah... He is a young boy.. Waise very handsome hai na? And how can he impress girls without these things..", she supported prem..
Pr: " very well said badi maa.. Maa bi nah..."
Sah: " ok..ok.. I will surely buy whatever u said..", he said smiling while tapping prem's cheek slightly...
Sah: " anybody else want anything?"
All the others shook their heads indicating no...
And all went to sleep in their bedrooms...
