The night was still dark and the season was showing its color. Silence was still there in between them. The moment they looked towards each other a strange sensation passed through them. They weren't able to look away from each other. It was magical how silence was and chilly night were playing their roles to make them understand what they were going through but being oblivious to this new feeling they couldn't understand what is that one thing which is pulling them towards each other. May be beause it was their first time and last time too.
Breaking the eyelock for the girl she was who considers her self respect on top of everything she bid Good night to him and retired to her room. Standing there before the closed door for few minutes he smiled, a smile that was genuine and peaceful and went to his room.
Morning was a hush-hush affair. The late night coffee showed its effect and disturbed Raghav Singhania's schedule. He was irritated with the fact tht he missed his gym but tge moment he sae Kalpi coming outside from her room all his irritation flew away from that one sight which was appealing and soothe his eyes. He was staring at her, which wa becoming his habit now, her damp hairs falling on one shoulder while the other has d stole. He checked her out completely from tip to toe. Though in formal yet she was looking extremely pretty, the simplicity and innocense which she carries in her heart always enlighten her face with a glow that make up cannot provide. She looked like an ethereal beauty. She was dressed in simple Salwaar Kameez yet it was looking elegnt on her.
"Kalpi Didi...Aap yahan" The word of chef brought him back to his senses. He looked little nervous what if his staff had seen him staring at her. She got perplexed by his expressions. The fact that much has changed in their relation was evident but this sudden nervousness was not getting into her mind. So busy was she in adjusting her handbag that his staring session went completely unnoticed by her. She looked at him and asked if he was okay and he lied he was thinking about party prep. The moment he entioned party Kalpi switched on her hyper activation mode and started discusing about what can be done to make party more interesting and that now from today everyday they have to visit the venue after office hours for keeping a check on how the preparation was going.
The whole drive from home to office was filled with party discussions with Raghav ocassionally giving his suggestion while majorly it was a monologue by Kalpi. She was excited and that can be felt from the vibes she was releasing. He was happy that the party has given her a chance to be back again what she used to be in Delhi and give him glimpse of Old Kalpi of whom he has just read about.
They reached office and the day started the way it should, drowning both of them in work till the office time lasts.
The week passed by with Raghav Kalpi and group being extremely busy for party. Raghav had been attentive all the time that Klpi takes care of herself and doesn't oush herself much. At the same time whenever he felt lazy in doing that party prep Sammy used to blackmail him that he will complain Kalpi about this and Raghav almost used to jump off from his chair and get going. Sammy had now found a new way to tease him and have his own share of laugh like Raghav used to have when he used to get scared on hearing Priya's name.
It was party night...everybody in Singhania Industries was excited as for the first time they are attending a casual party. A party they never thought Raghav Singhania will ever throw. Much to their surprise since party was there it was a half day and when the office timings were going to end Raghav came outside and addressed the employees. He asked each and every employee to follow the theme and without any hesitation enjoy the party. Every employee was happy as for the first time Raghav was communicating with them and that nothing of it was related to business.
The party started and like a good host Raghav and Sammy were welcoming the guest while Dhaval was going through last minute check. Sammy being taller in height took the role of Amitabh Bachchan and dressed up in long flair pant and a plain shirt with top 3 buttons opened giving a clear view of his bare chest. Dhaval being a die hard fan of Dharmendra took in Dharmendra's style of wearing a shirt with design on it and simple pant. Raghav who never told about his liking and much to his surprise was not even allowed to voice his opinion. Kalpi insisted him on wearing Rishi Kapoot style flair coloured pant and shirt having design on it paired up with brown leather coat thus giving him a Kabhie Kabhie film look.
The boys were waiting for their girls to enter. The banquet was filled with people having taken different actors style...some came in as Dev Anand, some as Raj Kapoor, some were in Jitendra and Rajesh Khanna style while the girls were in Mumtaaz, Sadhna, Madhubala and many other actresses.
Chatting with each other but eyes fixed on entrance soon their wait ended when Pooja stepped in wearing the style of Dream Girl Hema Malini. Dhaval had a small smile playing on his lips. Pooja lowered her eyes on feeling the intense gaze of Dhaval on her. Sammy and Raghav felt she is feeling shy coz of them.
Soon Priya entered wearing Jaya Bachchan look of Chupke Chupke a white full sleeves maxi. She was looking gorgeous and Sammy immediately went towards her. "Somebody is looking drpd dead gorgeous...kya baat hai...hmmm" "Tum khud hi sochlo and with a wink she left from there and Sammy was looking at her all confused. "What have they planned!!!"
"Damn!!! Both have arrived where are you Kalpi???" His eyes were searching for that one girl who rules his world. And finally time stood still and Kalpi entered the hall. She had tied her hair in two ponies and was wearing a mini skirt and a half sleeves shirt tucked in her skirt. She wore boots matching with her brick red color skirt. It won't be wrong to say that she was looking enticing.
Raghav could feel that all male eyes were on her. She was looking an enchantress ready to cast her spell. Raghav was boiling in anger on seeing her dressed up like this. He was staring at her when she saw him. Cutely she waved her hand and came towards him. "Hie... You are looking handsome Raghav" The cuteness with whuch she said he melted down and smiled at her "Thanks."They both stared at each other while Kalpi was expecting a compliment from him. On not getting one she asked herself "Ra...ghav how am I looking." Raghav quickly looked at her from top to toe and said "Beautiful like always Neetu Singh Kapoor. She blushed and said "Thank you Rishi Kapoor."
Suddenly Raghav realised that he was supposed to be angry on her with the dress she chose for herself. Gaining his composure and sternness back he asked firmly "What are you wearing Kalpi??" On hearing such a question and that too after getting compliment left her confused. "Raghav I m wearing what you are seeing." "Its no just me Kalpi everybody is seeing you especially all men over here." She looked here and there and certainly everyones eyes were on her. Innocense at its best she asked "Am I looking like a clown that everybody is staring at me. You only told me that I am looking beautiful then..." She sadly pouted and Raghav who was stunned by her answer and her ignorance towards her own self he blurted out "Dammit girl you are looking hooottt and thats the reason why everyone is staring at you. What was the need to wear such a dress." She made a perfect 'O' shaped mouth and then looked at herself after registering his words that she was looking hot. "Raghav I chose Rishi Kapoor style for you so thought I should go for Neetu Kapoor look of Kabhie Kabhie. She frowned on seeing Raghav not happy with her dressing style. He noticed her chnge of expressions and felt guilty of ruining her party mood. "Okie I m sorry. Please forgive me its just I am not liking all the men staring you. I am sorry and please stay with me for the night. Just with me alright." Her face lit up on seeing his smile and she hugged him and agreed to be with him the entire New Year Night. Both of them with all their heart wanted to bring in the New Year together.
The party began with full swing and for the first time Raghav was enjoying the party. There was truth and dare game in a different style. The person who comes under the spot light will have to choose truth or dare. Three bowls were kept. One had just two chits truth or dare while the other two bowls bearing the name truth and dare were filled with chits having task written on it.
Everybody in the party was supposed to participate with full spirit. It was hilarious as some of his employees were displaying their hidden talents. While some were extremely good some outmatched the definition of being pathetic.
Everything was taken on a good note. Soon Dhaval's turn arrived and he got truth. He picked up one chit from the truth bowl. His chit read "Do you love someone? Yes/No" He first got tensed and then smiled. Polietly he said "YES" Kalpi smiled on listening and siad to herself "Awww my buddy loves me." While Raghav followed Dhaval's gaze and saw Pooja blushing heavily. His eyes widened in surprise. "When" was all he said to himself. He was happy for Pooja and Dhaval. They are good and deserve good.
The spot light now came on Raghav. The mood wa still there but a layer of tense did prevail. Afterall it was Raghav Singhania, the head honcho's turn. He picked out his chit and it was 'Dare'. Instead of hooting or clapping everybody turned silent. He chose a chit from the dare bowl and it seemed luck was not on his side. The chit read "Dance on KHULLAM KHULLA PYAR KARENGE HUM DONO" Kalpi's eyes turned wide coz this was her idea to write some cheesy song in one of the chits. She never knew it would come on Raghav's platter. Everybody stood silent. They didn't know whether they shpuld encourage him or not. Raghav on the other hand felt a lil embarrased but somewhere inside his heart he wanted that Old Raghav to come outside and enjoy after so many years. After all its New Year eve and all have done something here which they don't do in regular life. All were waiting for his reaction when he smilingly said "One of ma favourite songs...but since duet I need partner."
As the words slipped from his mouth the entire hall cheered for him and his friends were more than happy especially Sammy. Raghav showed his hand and everybody stopped. "Kalpi be my partner." Stunned, shocked , surprised...these words were less to express the sudden shock Kalpi got. He asked her to dance with him before everyone. Yes they have dance before but the situation was different. Before she could say yes or no her colleagues started hooting for her..."Kalpi...Kalpi...Kalpi...Kalpi" With a naughty smile Raghav reached towards her and without asking took her hands in his and went on the dance floor. His changed attitude which until then was only noticed by Dhaval came into light before the entire group. Raghav said on mike "Music" and turned towards her and asked "Ready". She looked at him and felt lost. The shyness which she was feeling before was all gone. All she remembered was she is with Raghav and with him around nothing is wrong. And the piece started:

Raghav took Kalpi's hand and started dancing in the way and manner like the actors danced in the film.They were lip synching the lyrics as well as expressing the song. Soon they asked everyone to join in. He snaked his hand around her waist and Kalpi rested her hand in his while he took her other hand and started dancing.

Kalpi and Raghav both went hand in hand to one of the staff who was dancing with his wife hesitantly. Firstly the guy got really scared but seeing the fun in Raghav's eyes he too joined in. They swayed to the music matching their steps with the beats.

Next they went towards a couple who had a small tiff and the guy was actually trying to please her and she was not agreeing. Kalpi made a cute face when she sung her lines while Raghav chuckled on seeing her expressions.

They went to their group and and they all started dancing together. The mood of the song had reached into everyones mind and every feet was tapping to the tune of music. Sammy, Raghav and Dhaval did their bro dance while the girls were dancing along with their chit chat session.
The piece ended and and the room was filled with applause. Raghv was catching his breath. Last even he didn't know when did he enjoyed so much. Today he wasn't carrying the responsibility of Singhania but he was just Raghv before his employees. They were surprised to see that Raghav can dance so well and he can be so expressive too. His other side pleased everyone and his staff was full of praises for him.
He looked at Kalpi who was already looking at him. They stared at each other. Raghav started walking towards her and she too came forward. A small smile was playing on their lips and their eyes had a glint of happiness. He hugged her tightly and she too snuggled more into him. He was thankful to her bringing that Old Raghav out after so many years and this time he is gonna stay permanently.
Any relation needs time to nourish and grow. RagNa friendship has now grown so strong and deeper that they have crossed this limit of friendship and have entered into the next phase 'Love'. They have taken time to understand it but now they know things have changed and somewhere they are ready to accept it because their heart has already given space to that new feeling. They are happy with this new budding relationship.
Okie I m stopping here but but but...surprise hasn't come to an end...Glimpse of next update
