I reached hell to find out that Evil stepmom and step-sister were in a rush. I was confused,"Since when did my evil step-mom start running around the house and working ?" I took it as a good chance to sneak into my room and spend some time for myself. But then step-sister called out,"Kalpi !! You are here ??? Come here and search for my ear-ring. I misplaced it." I shot her a bewildered look that she didn't notice. Coundn't she see that I just came back from work. Evil step-mom shouted,"Girl !!! What are you doing there ?? Get searching. I am tired. Pakhi Baby !! Take rest.. You must be tired." I whined,"I just came back from work." Kamla shouted,"So what ?? U just came back from work, not from a penace in the Himalayas. Now get searching." I grimaced in response and set searching for the damn thing. Atlast I found it on Pakhi's dress-table and handed it out to her. She squealed. Honestly, it sounded like a she-pig oinking. I went to my room to get ready for my daily chores...
Meanwhile in a secluded place, a voice called out,"What news have you brought, Pompei ?" Pompei replied in a meek voice,"He has returned, Master !!! He has returned back to Dehradun.." The voice boomed in laughter,"Atlast !!! He is back. It is only nice that we give him a proper welcome." Pompei bowed down and said,"I'll get going with the arrangements, Master.." The voice stopped him,"No Pompei !! Not now. We will give him a proper welcome when the time is right. It can wait until later." Pompei asked in a small voice," WE, Master ??" The voice said,"What do you expect, Pompei ?? We've got friends who want to meet him." Pompei bowed down and the man with the authorative voice smirked...
Kalpi was scrubbing and washing the floors. Kamla and Pakhi had gone out as Pakhi had whined about wanting new nail paint.. Ugh !!! Such a bitch !!! Am sorry about that word but sometimes, when you get treated like a dumb animal for long wnough, words like these tend to come out of your mouth. And am no exception. I finished the living room and went to my room. I love my room. It looks simple, neat and tidy. I put down the mop and the dirty bucket and walked to my closet. I opened it and pushed my clothes aside. I pushed hard sideways at the back of my closet until it gave way to a new room. My face split into a wide grin. Evil-stepmom and She-pig didn't know this room even existed. Dad built me this room when I was 4 years old. I enters the room and stared around at all the mirrors. I loved mirrors. Right from when I could talk, I loved mirrors. So Dad built me this room. I stared into the mirror. Hmmm.. I had grown a bit thin and my dress hung loose. All thanks to my evil-stepmom.. My lips were dry and I could see bones in my hands
Wow.. I was so thin. But the two things I retained were my eyes and my hair. My dad used to say that I had the most beautiful eyes in the world. I looked into my eyes. I had almond shaped eyes and the color of my eyes were hazel. My hair was thick and it reached down to until above a few inches of my waist. Straight dark brown hair that went well with my hazel eyes. I smiled and wet back to cleaning my room after closing the secret room as I call it. I started scrubbing the floor. I could see a few bubbles in the water. Looking at the bubbles, I started to sing..

As I finished the last line, those haunting and mysterious eyes came to my mind. I shook my head,"What is happening with me ?? I was just singing the song but then why did those eyes haunt me ?" And then I realized that, along the song I had been thinking about those haunting eyes and singing. I shook those thoughts out of my mind and went back to scrubbing the floors and then rushed to the kitchen to make food incase evil-stepmom and she-pig came back soon. That day fortunately went smooth since evil-stepmom was busily getting she-pig ready with makeup. I snorted. Seriously step-mom ??? I mean, how much can you cover with makeup ?? She always will look like a she-pig. And I am sure that people readily agree with me. That evening, I got dressed up to go to work.. Well, nothing to lose.. Its better there rather here.. With a smile, I set off to work but little did I know what was in store for me...
TADAA !!!! A cliff-hanger 😛 😛 😛 😛 Go on peeps.. Dream about what would happen next 😆 but please come back for tomorrow's update 😳 And about the twin of Raghav's thing, I would have definitely done that.. PS. The son is from Cinderella 1. Cinderella stares into the castle and wishes something (Dnt know what).. So since my Kalpi is no less than a Cinderella, I put that song here.. And it suits too 😊
