Part -12

"I am sorry Bappa for everything that I said to Aai.But then you tell me what should I do? If I won't behave with her like this she will become a pawn in the hands of Kapoors which Raghav and all of us certainly don't want. Now you have to decide, if I am wrong stop all this right now or else help me to gather all strength to keep up the resolve and achieve my mission." Kalpi silently prayed to God and stood up to get ready. She was suppose to go office. She smiled inwardly on remembering the fact that it will be her first day in office post marriage. Getting ready these days was not an easy task like it used to be before. The title she has now, behind her name carries a huge prestige which needs to be taken care off.

Kamla was waiting for Kalpi to come back.She was determined to talk to her. Her cold as well as harsh behaviour was raising curiosity inside her.She needed an explanation for this attitude towards her. "I'll talk to Kalpi now. She has to tell me why is she behaving so coldly with me and what kind of behaviour she had put up before Pakhi. She didn't say or do anything that hurts her then what was the need to be so rude to her." On hearing the footsteps she became aware of Kalpi's presence.

"Kalpi beta what would you have in lunch. Shall I make something special for you?"
"No Aai I am getting ready. I have to leave for office Raghav and I are going to have lunch together. I'll come back by evening. I just can't miss dinner with Baba and Dada."

"But beta..." Kalpi interrupted her in mid and said "Aai I am getting late. The driver must be coming to pick me up." She opened one of the two huge suitcases she had brought with herself. She looked over all the dresses and was confused which one to choose. Kamla looked at her. She thought Kalpi will ask her to choose a dress for her but instead Kalpi called her Tai, the lady who before regaining her memory was her confidante.

"Hello Tai" "Haan Kalpi bolo." "What should I wear?" "What!!! What sort of question is this? Don't behave like Raghav? Wait does he choose clothes for you like you do it for him." "Tai...I am going to office for the first time after marriage...I have to look proper and Raghav has bought so many clothes for me that I extremely confused what to wear??? You have helped me to dress up for the party then help now also na... See i have chosen three dresses now you only tell me which one will look nice on me." "Okay show it to me" One by one Kalpi put all the three dresses on her and finally her Tai selected a peach color Anarkali having silver work. She also helped her in choosing the aceesories. "Thanks Tai." Kalpi was happy with Tai's choice.

In the whole scene Kamla was a silent soectator. Not even once Kalpi asked for her help. A car came to a halt before the chawl. "Memsaab hai" The driver asked. "Ji" Kamla replied. Saab ne gaadi bheji hai." "Dhamuji" Kalpi said from behind. "I am ready chaliye." The driver went downstairs while Kalpi followed him. She turned and said "Bye Aai." Kamla saw her leaving the chawl.

"She didn't speak to me a word on her own. She just answered my questions. Infact she refused to have lunch with me. Whats wrong with her? Why is she behaving so oddly? Why is she ignoring me? I am angry on her and still she didn't even bother to ask me once if I can forgive her. She has definitely changed. She is no longer my Kalpi." Kamla said to herself while wiping her tears still ignorant towards reality.

Raghav was waiting for Kalpi. Today he is going to re-introduce her as his wife. Nobody was aware about their relstionship and it came as a huge surprise to everyone when they got to know Raghav Singhania married their colleague Kalpana Jadhav. The phone ring broke his chain of thoughts. A smile graced his face when he saw the number flasing on phone. With all romance he has in himself for her he took the call "Jaan, did you reach? M waiting for you come upstairs I'll catch you near the lift." "Okay I am coming. Be there." Kalpi cut the call but Raghav sensed the hidden pain behind her voice. He lowered his head in disappointment. He went towards the lobby, stood near the lift and waited for her.

As soon as the door opened Raghav was bowled over by the sheer beauty standing right before his eyes. Kalpi was looking breathtakingly beautiful and matched him completely in terms of style. He just kept looking at her with his mouth lil open. They shared a brief eye lock which got broken by the sound of coughing.

"Hi Bhabhi" Kalpi lowered her head. She flushed in embarassment on being caught like this and that too in public place. "Raghv, Bhabhi ko andar lekar jaana, after all Mrs. Kalpana Raghav Singhania aayi hai" (Raghav take her in, after all Mrs. Kalpana Raghav Singhania has arrived)
Raghav raised his eyebrow on seeing the notorious smile on Sammy's face.
Raghav clasped his hand with hers and together they walked inside Singhania Industries.

Everybody stood up from their seats on seeing Kalpana. Earlier whenever she used to come to office her presence never effected anyone but one who was walking besides her. She greeted everyone warmly. While the males were admiring her beauty which certainly didn't go well with Raghav who was burning in anger, the females were talking about change in Kalpi's apearance post her marriage. While some were doubting whether she will be able to handle the duties and obligatioons which has come with this title others were already praising her honesty of admitting her real identity and walking proudly with her husband.

After greeting all finally Kalpana reached near her desk. Memories of her old days revived and her eyes got teary. She remembered the day when she thought of giving her resignation and ended up deciding otherwise. How both she and Raghav stared at each other in anger. The day after party where he confessed his love for her and she was sitting on her chair all nervous amd waiting for him to come. "Jaan" He whispered whike snapping his finger before her amd she came out of her thoughts. She smiled and blushed together while he understood what she was thinking. "Come lemme show you your new cabin."

The cabin which was earlier occupied by Pakhi was given to her. But there was difference. The space was same but infrastructure was similar to that of Raghav's cabin in a smaller form. She looked at it with awe. Every minute detail was noticed by her. The desk had their photograph as well as that of Tai and her family while a lil ahead was her Bappa's idol. The central table had a flower bowl filled with gende ka phool and the decor was similar to that of Raghav's. Her eyes were moving all over her cabin and thats when she felt a tight yet gentle grip on her waist. He rested his chin on her shoulder and said "You are a part of me now and forever so I thought this cabin should also look loke a part of my cabin." She smiled and touched his cheek."Thats a beautiful and meaningful surprise Raghav.He took hold of her hand and kissed on her palms. "Anything for you jaan."

Withdrawing herself from hug she said "Lets go in your cabin." He knew its now getting difficult for her to hold herself back. She went to his cabin and he followed her. The moment he entered and closed the door. She hugged him tightly and started. Raghav hushed her and carressed her back. She was unable to believe till now that she talked with her mother so rudely. Sammy and Maya came excitingly inside but they saw them hugging each other. Sammy was about to tease them when Raghav signaled them to go outside and they realised the hug was not out of Romance but theres something more. Silently they moved out leaving Raghav to take care of Kalpi.

After few minutes she caught her breath and said "I have never ever talked with Aai like this. It was so rude, so harsh. Raghav isn't there any other option." She looked up and found a helpless Raghav. She again looked down. Somewhere she knew there is certainly no other option available with them. "I am sorry...I really am." Raghav hugged her again and she felt relaxed in his warmth. Finally she flowed out all the emotions she was going through. Her heart felt light.

"Are you feeling better?" He asked,his eyes moving over her face with concern. "Hmmm now I am better. Dada is right Pakhi was or may be till now is trying to use Aai for her own means. I had seen that meanness in her eyes. Raghav its not just her anger against me coz you married me, she wants you back in her life. Given a chance if you ever leave me she will be ready to become a part of your life. I have noticed that jealousy when I was talking to you and how she looked at me all dressed up as newly wedded girl. You were right she is dangerous. She cannot be taken lightly. It isn't love Raghav, its her obssession and its the most dangerous form of love."

Raghav was shocked. She was like this in her childhood but now she seemed to be a changed girl. He knew she liked him and wanted to marry him, she must have been heartbroken and wanted bad for Kalpi but such a thing was going on in her mind was something that he never ever thought. Now it was confirmed to him that Pakhi will also plan a plot against them. "Kalpi we will have to be extra careful. Till now she was an aggrieved person but as you said she has turned into an obssessed lover. She can go to any extent to harm you or may be kill you. We have to do something really fast." "We have to plan out for her." "Hmmm"

"Raghav" a startled voice broke their conversation. They looked at the entrance door. "Prem is coming back after two weeks." Sammy exclaimed. "So the game will start after two weeks. We have time to show Pakhi her true place and get her out of our way. The lesser the better."

Kapoors never considered Pakhi as their strength. For them it is only Prem and now he is coming back. Raghav was sure about Prem's return but didn't know when. Prem's return will definitely shake the game. Over the months he has learnt a lot from his Uncle. Now the clash of Titans is about to begin.

Obsession and possessiveness are dark sides of love. The latter being a lilttle less dangerous than former. It says every pure thing has a certain impurity attached to it. Love is no different. While Raghav and Kalpi's relationship defines loves's purest form, Pakhi's love for Kamla reflected possessiveness and now her love for Raghav is nothing less than obsession.

What will Pakhi do now? Though being an obsessed lover will she prove to be dangerous or her dumbness will rule her wits??? What will RagNa plan to get Pakhi out of their way??? Prem's return will turn the tables or has RagNa along with their team has already planned something for him??? Too many questions but just one answer "Wait and read the forthcoming updates."

Okay now guys I stop here. This is more of like an emotional update I guess coz I cannot over nightly show Kalpi as a stone hearted person for her mother. She needes to vent out her helplessness and that is what I have written. Hope you guys like it.

The silence has covered the place completely within its embrace. How to handle Pakhi within 2 weeks was going on in everybody's mind. Suddenly the phone ring brought all four of them out of their thoughts. "Yes...are you sure...ok keep me updated. Ya" "Who was it Maya?" Sammy asked.His face showed his curiosity. "My source Sammy...and I have an important news to share." "And whats that" He asked again. "Pakhi had prepared for the marketing strategy and has presented it before Kapoor Industries BOD. And guess what surprisingly every member on the Board is highly impressed and they are of the opinion that if she presents the same before Mr Jain and his panel they would be immensely happy and not to forget as soon as they will revive life in dead project their share prices will increase." Raghav clenched his fist and gritted his teeth in anger.For the first time he felt he took Pakhi a lil too lightly. No doubt she is dumb but at the end she is Kapoor and that too an injured one. She has become dangerous. He knew he needed to act fast or else the game will change and Pakhi will become game changer.

Silence dawned again and this time the tension had increased in manifolds with this sudden revelation. Raghav was sitting on his chair, his forehead had formed worry lines. Sammy was sitting with both his hands covering his mouth while Maya was had placed her hand on the handle of the chair and rested her head on it. Kalpi had just one thought running in her mind, she cannot let Pakhi win the game. No she can't...after all the bad deeds that Kapoor has done they deserve hell. After churning the wheels of her mind for a while she widened her eyes in excitement and said "I have a plan and it will be a clear check and mate for Pakhi Kapoor crushing her new grown confidence in business forever." She smirked while everybody looked onto her with surprise.

"What is it Kalpi?" Maya asked, her curious expression matching with the other two. "Well Raghav when we took this project of Mr. Jain before that I had researched more about upcoming tenders for low line township construction. But before I could voice out my point you both had already taken Mr. Jain's project. So I dropped the idea then and there but before that I had made a presentation for the same and also marketing strategy too. I was so keen for taking up that project that I felt to to prepare myself up for it. This project is exactly on the lines of Mr. Jain's project, the only difference being this person is ai lil new in the market. Since he didn't get much good response they had extended the deadline for submitting the tender and the last day is day tomorrow. Maya when is the meeting due for Pakhi to present her strategy?"

"This Saturday" "And today is Monday...tomorrow is day for submission of tender bids and since the contenders will be less I suppose the meeting will be held on Thu-Fri and if not we can ask them to arrange it on Fri. After all the Market Value of the Project and Net Present Value of the house will automatically increase just with the mention of Singhania's bidding for the tender. I am sure they won't mind to pre-pone the meeting."

They were watching her in awe. She was definitely one master planner. It was surely a check and mate plan. The moment she will present the marketing strategy, Pakhi's startegy will be directly compared with the one she will present which will be not at all cost effective as compared to Singhania's. The reason being extremely simple the party is new and therefore will keep the margin low and since Singhania will definitely win the bid they can easily shift the labour and contractors to this project which won't increase the cost burden much and though the profit margin being low but the savings in cost will go on to increase the profit to the level they expect in any other project. Again, after marrying Kalpana this project will be considered as a step taken by Raghav Singhania towards middle- class people. This will increase the goodwill as well as market value of shares. But since Kapoors is already going low this same project will now become a burden again in all ways. They cannot expect any cost savings since they already have financial crunch and contractors and labourers won't accept to work in shifts in two different projects simulataneously, the only option left will be to decrease the profit margin they had expected which at the end will bring profit to them for sure but won't put any impact on market and thus it will be more of like a loss.

"Am I talking to Kalpana or am I talking to the female version of Raghav Singhnia!!! I am confused...Wohooo Bhabhi you are one beauty with brains...competely different from the crowd... Marvellous bhabhi its a sure check and mate for that Kapoor princess. Lets go for it...What say Raghav?" Sammy turned to look at Raghav who was watching Kalpana in a trance.

"I was such an idiot. I was denying this feeling of love in order to take revenge and today my love, she, my wife, my jaan is standing right besides me to help me in this revenge. How couldn't I realise Pakhi owes more to her than me. I had to fall in love with her. I just had my intelligence with me when I left India and Kalpi too had the same quality to make a mark for herself. Our paths crossed each other when we first met and before becoming friends we became each others consolers. Before sharing happiness we shared each others pain. Our meeting, going away from each other and then meeting again,falling in love, and getting married everything was destined." He was staring at her, admiring her strength, her intelligence. With the snap of fingers he came out of his reverie. He looked at everyone. They all were giving him a confused look.

"Nothing was just wondering how an idiot I was to deny such a beautiful feeling of love. I thought she will become my weakness but no today you became my strength. Thanks Jaan for being there" Not thinking twice of what will Sammy or Maya say Kalpi hugged him tightly. "I am always there for you." She whispered in his ear and he smiled.

"Okay now enough of office romance don't make me feel envy of you. " Sammy said while looking at Maya from the corner of his eyes. "Lets discuss how to proceed with this plan. We have to play very safely. Pakhi or any of the Kapoor shouldn't come to know about this deal. So we have to plan our moves accordingly."

"You are right Sammy. Lets just get started."Right away." Kalpi said and stood up to take the laptop while the three of them settled on the sofa. She logged in and showed her presentation and also the research she had made on that company to analyse its viability and profitability. Everything was done but a few finishing slides needed to be added to make the presentation more effective for which Sammy had taken the onus to do the same. She emailed him the project details and decided to work on it in the eve so by tomorrow Maya will go all alone to get them registered and also ask for pre-ponement of meeting to Friday.

"I am all set Dad. See I told you, you don't have to completely depend upon Bhai for everthing. Even I am a Kapoor. And now this Kapoor will show that chawl girl Kalpana Vitthal Jadhav what she is. Raghav who always thought of her and not me will now realise what big mistake he has done. Just wait and watch Dad its just start, I am not going to spare him too. He denied my love, he has to pay for it. " She smirked evily.

"Hai mera Pooka, kitna samajdaar ho gaya hai mera bachha. I am so proud of you Rasmalai. Aaja jhappi pa" She went on to hug her and this time much to Neetu's surprise Pakhi hugged her back. Happy that she is going to mark her first victory Pakhi went inside her room, to plan more intricately for this supposed meeting completely unaware that Kalpana has already planned a storm for her which is approaching at a good speed to crush her and her growing desires for certain time period.

"Neetu something is wrong" A worried Sahil spoke to his wife while resting on his bed. "What are you saying Sahil? Pakhi has done so well, the Board was praising her." "Neetu Pakhi is turning into an obssessed lover which is not good for her. She is becoming obssessive for Raghav.I have seen that dark side of hers today when she was speaking about Raghav. I am worried. I don't want my daughter to suffer coz of that Singhania. He will never come to her and she has to understand that. We will have to do something Neetu and that too very fast. Before it becomes more dangerous for her we have to do something." Neetu frowned on listening to her husband. She didn't realise what her daughter is turning into? Though how much ever Pakhi abuses her at the end she is her mother. She cannot see her daughter ruining her life before her eyes. "Kalpana tujhe to mein dekh lungi. You are solely responsible for my daughter's current state. I won't spare you."

"Raghav I want to be with you guys today for this plan. Just come to chawl and take me today itself." "No ways jaan. You are there for a purpose. I cannot come and take you right away. You have to stay there till Thursday. Alright." "Raghav" "No jaan no argument." Ok...Achha drop me home. Baba and Dada must have come to home by now. Its time for me to leave." "Okay."

"See you tomorrow during lunch." "Bye" "Bye" He gave a quick peck on her lips and drove away. Kalpi entered her home where her Baba and Dada were waiting for her. "I am back" Kalpi said and surprised the other two men in her life. "Kalpi!!! you scared us." She hugged both of them with a smile that was not leaving her face. They all ignored Kamla and sat for dinner.

"Meeting right people at right time makes your life worth the living. Sharing someone's happiness is easy, sharing someones sorrow is lil diffcult but sharing someones pain is tough thing.
Raghav and Kalpi shared pain, then sorrow and then finally found happiness in each other. Raghav for a moment felt weak when got to know about Pakhi but Kalpi immediately became his strength and brought him out of crisis. Isn't true soul mates are like this only. They are each others strength. When one feels weak the other stands for him thus keeping the ground firm.
