Sammy and Priya were shocked to see Raghav and Kalpi in such a messy state. "What the hell is this " Priya asked. "Did you guys fell somewhere" "No no we went to beach and then at outskirts if city and then to dhabha and then..." "Take breath Kalpi. They are not going anywhere." Raghav said.
She took deep breaths and started again. She was so excited about the outing she had with The Raghav Singhania who last night enjoyed with her equally. "You know Priya it was such an awesome night I tell you." "Hold on Kalpi and you both go and take shower just look at yourselves you both are covered in mud. Go till then I'll make something for all of us. Go."
After taking shower both came out. While Kalpi looked as usual lively and beautiful, Raghav looked relaxed. Sammy was observing the change in demeanour of Raghav. He was in girly terms glowing. Yes there was a certain peace on his face as if something has been taken off from his shoulder which he had been carrying since years. "What has transpired last night that has changed Raghav not completely but to a certain extent. He has changed post Kalpi's accident but there was something different visible on Raghav's face and body language" Sammy thought.
"Sammy dude you came here instead of office. What happened?" "Woh Raghav I thought since you had been out last night I thought to check out at what time you are going to come." "Ahhh Sammy neither me nor Kalpi are going to come office today. I am tired and will not be able to work properly need rest for the day." Sammy was looking at him with his mouth slightly open. He blinked his eyes and looked at him. "What why are you looking at me as if I said something out of this world." "You have never taken leave for some stupid reason like tiredness. Infact you had been a freak when it comes to work and you are giving me such lame excuse.!" "Sammy its not a lame excuse alright I am tired and more so the night has been really long for me." "Now toh I really eant to know what happened last night!"
"Sweetheart what were you saying when you came in?" " For God Sake Sammy she is Kalpi and not your sweet heart. Priya don't you get annoyed when he calls her sweetheart." Priya laughed at Raghav's yelling while Kalpi who was assissting Priya in cooking looked at him amusingly. She never understood what problem he had if Sammy calls her sweetheart. "Raghav you know how he is. He loves to tease you and now he knows where you get pinched the most." "Ya ya ya!! Sometimes I think you blindly trust him." "Raghav are you trying to create difference between me and Priya." "Raghav when you will get true love in your life you will trust her blindly. Thats how love is." Raghav made faces on listening her words "If you don't have answer be it but atleast don't give me lecture on love please you know how much I hate Romance." Priya shook her head while Sammy chuckled.
"Okay now stop this, KALPANA" Sammy took her name a lil loudly to hint Raghav."You tell me what happened last night you were so excited when you came home. Now tell me what was it!" Kalpana was too excited to share her happiness with her friends.
"You know Sammy after having dinner Raghav and I went for the beach. You know it was so serene and beautiful." She narrated the entire night to both Sammy and Priya. Sammy was stunned to hear what Raghav and she did on beach and then he took her for long drive and to top it all instead of having his protein shaka and other healthy stuff he ate Paranthas and Lassi. He was happy that Rsghav shared his lil amount of past with Kalpi and knew much is still left but now tht he has open up with her he will,when the time is right, will share it with her completely. He thanked God for sending Kalpana in Raghav's life. The girl has surely changed him a lot and today after years he saw a lil glimpse of Old Raghav. Sammy was feeling emotional as he has seen Raghav turning into a stone before his eyes and he couldn't stop him but today this girl breathed life in him. Priya clasped Sammy's hand and he looked at her.He smiled at her with tears in his eyes and then looked at Raghav who was arguing with Kalpi on certain facts that he thought Kalpi exaggerated unnecessarily while narrating the incident and Klpi as usual was dominating him. Both were busy in their fights.
"Sammy although we all are God's children but I truly believe Kalpana is God's special child. We all know who 'The Raghv Singhania' is but this girl she doesn't give a damn to it. May be its the genuineness of her nature that Raghav is so gentle and polite towards her." "Hmmm for Kalpi he is just Raghav bas aur kuch nai..."
"Tum dono ko kya hua aise kya dekh rahe ho hum dono ko." Raghav asked. "Dude I have never seen you fighting with girl so you know I was quite surprised." "You know what Sammy sometimes I really find you confusing. I mean seriously you both were staring at us coz I was fighting with her.C'mon do you think I'll vouch this reason of yours." It was 2 and all four had lunch. "Priya you are an excellent cook. Sammy you're lucky haan after all A way to man's heart is through his stomach.Now I know atleast one reason behind your love for Priya." "Thanks Kalpi." "Waise Kalpi in your case the saying should be the other way round A way to womens heart is through her stomach coz diamonds are definitely not your best friends and given the fact that you are such a big foody I am sure you will be extremely lucky to get someone who makes delicious food for you because you toh don't know how to cook. Nai" Raghav said teasingly. Kalpi pouted on hearing this while Sammy and Priya were again shocked. Till then they had just heard whatever Kalpi said about Raghav and their last over night outing but now they were actually witnessing Raghav teasing her. Their relationship has definitely changed. The last barrier if any was there has now fallen down and what they share is pure friendship with no pretence.
After Lunch Sammy and Priya left for their respective work while Kalpi and Raghav finally got to see their bed after almost a day.
In evening Raghav's sleep was broken by Sammy's call and soon after that slerp flew away from his eyes.
"Raghav tomorrow is Sunday remember you need to introduce Dhaval to Kalpana. Havr you decided how will you do it. I mean you know you cannot tell her that Dhaval is her childhood friend then what will say about Dhaval." "I...I don't know Sammy but I have to introduce him. Wait lets make a con call and add Dhaval too. May be he must have thought something about it." "Okay wait I'll add him." "Yup" Soon Dhaval joined the conversation. "Sir you called me is everything okay? Kalpi thik hai na?" "Dhaval firstky stop calling us Sir coz we are to introduce you to Kalpi and you cannot call us Sir. She has a very sharp brain. She will doubt you and us immediately." "Okay Sir" "Phir Sir..." "Amm Raghav" "Better practice it coz if you falter before her it is you who have to handle her I won't say anything." "Since when did you started running from problems Raghav" "Arre I am not running Sammy you know Kalpi really wants to know about her past and we all know I cannot tell her anything right now. She doesn't question me frequently coz she trusts me and I really feel bad that I know everything but still I cannot say anything. It seems I am keeping her away from what she is. Hiw much ever we are all with her but we cannot completely finish the pain she has of loosing her identity. We can even imagine the quantum of pain she must be going through. It her will power that has kept her going." "Sir...I mean Raghav you are not concealing the truth from her. You have a strong reason of not saying the truth and we all are aware of it. Just getting carried away in the moment of emotion and telling her the truth and endangering her life is also not right. You are not doing anything wrong.Don't worry and regarding me well I won't commit any mistake. I assure you that." "Thanks youdon't know how relieved I am feeling right now."
"Sir I mean Raghav you can call me Sammy's cousin. I mean you and Kalpi saty together so obviously you cannit introduce me to her as someone related to you as that will raise suspcion in her mind but if I come an meet her as Sammy's cousin he won't think otherwise." "Bingo Dhaval!! Ragav I think its a great idea. I'll come tomorrow with him and we will come as brothers.I'll update Pooja and Priya about this latest development." "Alright" Raghav said and the three hung up.
Raghav rested his head on head board. He was just thinking about Kalpi. "What if after Dhaval's arrival Kalpi gives more importance to him. He is her childhood friend. She will definitely feel connected to him. What if she becomes more friendlier to him? Will I be sidelined by her? Won't she spend her time with me? "What should I do now? Shall I delay their meet? No I can't do that I cannot be selfis. I cannot stop Kalpi from meeting him. He is an integral part of her life and more so he has every right to meet her. How can I stop him? He is desperately waiting to meet Kalpi. I cannot leave him disheartened. Though I am afraid of loosing her friendship but I cannot do such injustice to her. I have to be strong. I trust my friendship I am sure she will remain my friend too.Yes Raghav theres is no need to fear. Friends are frienda naye kya purane kya." He smiled convincing himself that Kalpi will remain his friend too.
Morning arrived and brought an old yet new person in Kalpi's life. After waking up Kalpi went to Raghav's room. She knocked the door twice but when she didn't get response she went inside. Raghav was sleeping in a sitting position. "This is how he sleep.In a sitting position. No no who sleeps in a sitting position. There must be something, will ask him later." She went near to him to adjust his position.He was sleeping soundly but the manner in which he was Kalpi thought he will wake up with a good backache. She tried or rather struggled to lay him on bed and murmurred "You are too fat Raghav.Whats the use of gym when you are still so heavy." Raghav who was in deep slumber clasped her waist and moved the other side. Before she could understand what happened she was on top of him. On feeling a little heaviness on his body Raghav finally woke up only to find Kalpi on top of him.
Momentarily forgetting about the world, about the time they both got lost in each others eyes. Affection brimming in their eyes. They both looked at each other. Kalpi who was earlier struggling to get up but she stopped when their eyes met. The time got frozen. While her hands rested on his chest he encaged her in his arms. His grip on her waist was firm so that she doesn't fall. They looked onto each other without knowing whats going on in their hearts. To others they may look like some romantic lovey dovey couple but for them as if they were locked by each others eyes. None of them cared to move. Unaware of the strange feelings that once again engulfed them but soon their moment broke with vibration of phone. The hesitance came over and Kalpi tried to free herself. She was about to fall but Raghav hold her tightly and flipped their position. Now Kalpi was beneath him but before she could feel uncomfortable Raghav got up from bed and left the room to take the call.
"Haan bol" "Raghav we are coming." There was silence for a while but half heartedly he said "Come I am waiting." "Who is coming" Kalpi asked coming from behind. "Sammy and group who else. I will go and get fresh up." "Hmmm me too."
After half hour the door bell rung and Kalpi went to open the door. Raghav wanted to stop her but she reached there. He came there and stood behind her. He was anxious to know or see how she feels on seeing Dhaval. He wanted to read her emotions and expressions.
Kalpi opened the door. Sammy stood with Priya while on the other side Dhaval was standing with a warm smile on his face. Kalpi looked at the trio and passed a smile but when she looked at Dhaval her smile slowly faded away. She looked at him intently. She was looking at him as if trying to remember him. It wasn't the expression of being stranger it was confusion which was evident on her face. An ambiguous expression flashed on her face. She was actually trying to know if she had met him before. He looked familiar but then he was a stranger. Who is he?
Raghav and Kalpi's trust on each other is the essence of their friendship. They got caught up in a situation where their discomfort creeped in but before it could strain their friendship they both handled themselves and things instead of turning out sour remained as it is.
Sometimes God hits you first and then supports you to stand up but sometimes he makes you stronger first and then hits you so that you are able to handle the situation. Raghav and Kalpi's bond is getting growing stronger with each passing day coz slowly time is progressing towards one more storm which will hit their lives. Earlier it was just Raghav and Kalpi whose life changed but now it involves Priya, Sammy, Pooja and Dhaval. What has time kept in store for them?
