A day before hearing date

@Kalpi's College

Kalpi is sitting in her cabin preparing some test paper for the next class... From last 20 mins she had not written max one or two lines on the paper...He mind was distracted and all she was thinking was about the reason for preponing the date...

Tap! Tap!' Someone tapped on her shoulder to bring her back to the world where she belongs.. She turns around and finds Arti, her colleague standing behind her.

"Don't u want to attend the lecture??" Arti asks her.

"Arti... Will u do me a favour... Can u attend this class for me?? Actually m having slight headache n was planning to give them a class test but my paper is not ready yet." Kalpi said while showing the empty paper to Arti. Arti was aware of Kalpi's divorce news as no one can hide such matters and hence accepts the request without asking further questions... Kalpi thanks her and rests her head on the table when she hears another knock on the door... She gets irritated and lifts her head to see who it is... Smmy was standing at the door with his famous killer smile. Sammy's face reminds her of the day when Raghav doubted her character.

" What r u doing here Sammy??" She asked annoyingly.

"Looks like someone is annoyed!! I think I should stay away from u." Sammy felt offended. She realized that she went too far with her tone and apologized immediately.

"I am sorry Sammy!! I dint mean to offend u... M just having slight headache." She replied in as calm way as possible.

"Can I come in first??" Sammy asked politely. Kalpi nods in affirmative n offers him chair.

"What is it Kalpi mam that annoys u about me?? Why r u avoiding me after that party?? What is troubling u?? Did Raghav sir said something or Is it about ur divorce??" Sammy bombarded her with all the questions she had in her mind.

"Sammy... I am not avoiding u... I just want to be alone." Kalpi tried to stop the conversation.

"Why r u taking divorce??" Sammy was not ready to leave the topic.

"Sammy.. it's my personal life. I think u should stay away from it." She replied in a stern voice. Sammy understands it and gets up immediately. Before leaving the room he turns back and looks at Kalpi once again... "I wish I could tell u how much u affects me... I always admire u for the person who u r and u r my ideal... I think I like u." He thought and left the place.

"I am sorry Sammy but I do not want to share my thoughts with anyone... I can't tell u what is troubling me coz I myself don't know what I want... I do not know why he still affects me so badly when all I want is to go away from him. Sometimes I want the time to freeze n I do not have to face this separation while other times I want the time to flew away so that I can end this case soon and start my new life again. I wish I could know what I want."

She rests her head on the table once again and shuts her eyes tightly to stop the tears that were threatening her to come out.

@Ria's school

Ria comes out with a diary in her hand and smile on her lips...

"Yippie!!! It's last day of our school!! Vacations start from tomorrow." She said to her best friend Pooja who was lost in her own world.

"Pooja.. What happened? Why r u crying?" Ria asked on seeing tears in pooja's eyes.

"My dad is not coming for tomorrow's PTA meet. U know, my new mom won't let him come. She is too bad." Replied Pooja and started crying once again.

"But why?" Ria asked innocently.

"My step mom is not good. She hates me and my father only loves my step brother."

"Step mom?? What does it mean?"

"My father divorced my mother and married a new lady who became my step mom. Ur parents are also getting divorced na. U will get a bad step mom too."

"No, I will stay with my mother and she loves me a lot. I won't live with any step mom. Why don't u go to ur mom? Tell her to come in PTA meeting."

"My mom won't come. After divorce she dint even come to meet me. Ur mother will change too. Will she come for PTA meeting??"

"I dint ask her yet, but I know she will come. I am sure she loves me a lot."

Pooja smiled on her reply. Both of them were kid but grown up before time coz of their circumstances. Ria managed to reply that her mother will come but somewhere the fear of losing parents deepened after her conversation with her best friend. She just wished that her mother proves the fear wrong and she doesn't cry like her best friend. She was unaware of the fact that her mother has to go to the court tomorrow and hence won't be able to attend the meeting.

@Raghav's office

Raghav was sitting lost in her cabin thinking about tomorrow and praying for the success of his plan. He gets a call from Maya and remembers the night when he ditched Kalpi. With a little annoyance he picked the call.

"Hello... Yes Maya." He said in frustrating tone which Maya understands but keeps calm.

"Hello Raghav..Sorry to disturb u but I need u to sign some papers urgently. I have send them to ur office." Maya said in professional way.

"N what are they?" Raghav asked.

"The Non objection documents. I am breaching the contract which I have with ur company as I got an offer in some movie. Before signing the deal, I need an NOC from u." replied Maya.

"Ohk. I will sign that." Raghav replied in a nice way. Now he won't have to see Maya's face again which means he won't have to face his guilt again and again.

"Raghav, Kalpi loves u a lot... I hope u will bring that genuine smile on her face again. I will never show u my face again." Maya said before hanging the call.

Maya's word affected him.. She was true. Kalpi always loved him but he never respected her.

"Will Kalpi forgive me ever?? Had I forgiven her, if she was in my place?? I made a big mistake...not mistake but a sin and I know I do not deserve forgiveness... I am ready for any punishment Kalpi except this divorce. I know it will be tough for her and I will give her as much time as she wants... I will win her back." thought Raghav.

@Kapoor's home

Bhawna is preparing herself for tomorrow's case, It will be her first hearing for this case and she wants to give her best.. She notes down all the possible ways that opposition lawyer can use for Ria's custody when Prem enters the room and reads her notepad.

"Do u think Raghav will fight for Ria's custody??" PRem asked.

"No idea but I should be prepared for everything." Bhawna replied.

"But Ragahv is already guilty. Is this divorce necessary?"

"My client Kalpana Jadhav wants it.." Bhawna replied in stern n professional way. Till now Prem never interfered in her cases but this time he was taking too much interest n it was irking her.

"Kalpi has gone crazy.. I know what Raghav did was unpardonable but she should think about Ria as well. The girl needs her father. I know Kalpi very well.. She has a big heart and she has the strength to forgive Raghav. I know she doesn't share her pain with anyone and she is broken from inside but knowing her from childhood I know that she can do it."

"N why should she show such strength?? Why should she compromise with her happiness?? Yes she has a daughter about whom she should think but did Raghav thought about his daughter before sleeping with another woman? Just coz he thought that his wife is cheating on him, he assumed that he got license to have one night stand. Yes,, I agree that Kalpi can have the strength to forgive him but then she will have the strength to move on from him. Why do u guys think that a man has all the rights to get forgiveness... Enough of this Prem. Kalpi is ur friend and I can understand ur concern for her but she is my client and if she wants divorce than I will be with her. And not only as a lawyer but as a woman I am with her. U need to think about this issue from a woman's prospective... How she must be feeling on thinking that some other lady was in her husband's arms.. What was rightfully hers was given to someone else. His face would have been reminding her about the betrayal.. She must have been dying several deaths each day." Bhawna said in one breath... She was irritated on hearing the same thing again and again from Maya and Prem. Being a woman, she was against Raghav and hence Kalpi giving him one more chance was not ok for her. Prem stayed silent after listening it but being a man he was still unable to completely understand Kalpi's POV.

@Jadhav's residence

Kamla and VItthal are having tea in the small lawn of their home. Though the place and tea was supposed to bring peace but their mind was not at peace at all... Both of them were thinking about tomorrow.

"Kamla... Why don't u talk to Kalpi?? After divorce she should come and stay with us." Vitthal broke the silence.

"How can I Vitthal. I never showered any love on her.. How will I convince her that her daughter will get all the love here? Not only that but this home will remind her about Maya which will make her heart bleed again and again. I think it's better if we shift with her to a new apartment."

"I think u r right, I will talk to her about it and who knows she might start her life again with our support."

"DO u want her to give another chance to Raghav?"

"I do not know Kamla, As a father I am unable to forgive what he did but I know Kalpi's happiness lies in him.. And for Ria... I think I should leave the decision on her."

"Hmm.. What about Maya vitthal?? Don't u think she needs another chance too?"

"I can't forgive her. She broke my trust. I need some time Kamla. Please do not talk about her."

"What If Raghav marries Maya?? I mean they already..."

"No... that's not possible! Don't ever think like this else I will... I do not know what I will do Kamla, but I hope u r not being good with Kalpi coz of this dirthy thoughts of urs. "

"No Vitthal... I am just expressing my doubts... M not a bad mother, Vitthal. I know u can't trust me but I will prove that to u."

Kamla started sobbing on seeing the mistrust Vitthal had on her but she herself was the reason for this doubt. He intention for asking the question was not what Vitthal thought but she was genuinely worried for Kalpi and din't want her to get hurt anymore. She promises herself that she will give so much love to Kalpi that tears won't ever come in her eyes again.

@Singhania Mansion

Pakhi and Gauri are having their tea and snacks... Pakhi was busy in her mobile when she receives a text about the reminder about her trip.

"Mom, I am going Vegas. U know how exciting it will be." Pakhi said in happy tone.

"Pakhi.. postpone the trip, U know tomorrow is an imp day and ur brother or niece might need u."

"But mom... Divorce isn't a big thing in today's world. I know bhabhi loves bhai too much and it will be tough for her but than what can I do in it??"

"How will u understand the pain of broken heart Pakhi..ur brother never let u feel any pain. But let me remind u that if u need ur brother's love in future than u need to give him love and support as well."

"Hmm... Okay!! I will see!!"

"Not see Pakhi... I want u here. All ur trips are sponsored by ur bro... If u want to enjoy in future than u have to listen to me today."

"Ok I won't go. Now, I know why bhai hates u so much." Pakhi screamed and left the place angrily. Her words hurt Gauri but she was happy that Raghav won't be alone. She wanted Pakhi to stay as Raghav will have someone to talk with. She knew her reasoning was wrong but that was the only way to make PAkhi understand.

In the night

@Ria's room.

Ria is lying on the bed and looking at the bed.. Her mind was abuzz with Pooja's words... She was wondering whether her mom will come tomorrow or not... Kalpi enters the room and looks at Ria.

"What is my baby doing??" She asked her.

"Mom.. tomorrow is my PTA meeting.. Will u come??" Ria asked directly.

"Tomorrow?" Kalpi asked in shock.. "Actually I have some urgent work tomorrow but I will meet ur teacher later." She added.

"Ok" Ria replied in low tone which dint go unnoticed by Kalpi... She picks Ria in her arms and make her sit in the lap...

"What happened to my Ria baby?" Kalpi asked while caressing her head.

Ria tells everything that happened in the school. Kalpi gets emotional on hearing it and hugs Ria tightly. She was very well aware fo Ria's mental condition and hence comforts her in the best way possible.

"Ria.. do u trust ur mother??"

Ria nods her head in affirmative.

"Than ur mom promise u that u will never feel alone... Ur parents love u a lot and u will never get any step dad or step mom to harass u. I will never miss any of ur functions or meetings... and will spend lots of time with u... Even u can visit ur dad whenever u wants u."

Ria looks at Kalpi with smile... Though she was a kid but she can sense the truthfulness in her mom's voice and hugs her back with affection. Kalpi makes her sleep peacefully and leaves for her room.
