"It's already 7 o'clock... M running late... I think I should wake up Ria now so that we can attend her PTA meeting together.. From there I will go to the court in cab and will send Ria home with driver... Though meeting is at 10pm but Ria's class teacher will understand my plight and will give me her progress report soon... I am sure about it. " Kalpi murmured while getting up from the bed... She was not sure whether she is frustrated coz of not able to attend the meeting or anxiety attack coz of court date... Though she doesn't want to think about the divorce proceedings but neither her heart nor her mind was under her control today...

"Trin Trin...Bhawna Calling" Her cell rang... She ran towards the desk and grabbed the cell as quickly aas possible... She wanted to inform her that she might get little late due to meeting.

"Hello Bhawna.."

"Hello Kalpi... I am sorry but u have to reach court in next 1 hour... Raghav's lawyer wants to meet us outside the court.."

"Outside the court?? But why??" She asked loudly in fear... I know Raghav very well and it can be a plan of his... But what does he want now?? Is it something related to Ria's custody?? She thought.

"I do not know why but It seems like they want to settle the case out of the court. But nothing to worry Kalpi... we will see what we can do. But u have to come fast." Bhawna replied as calmly as possible. She sensed the worry in Kalpi's tone.

"Hmm.." was Kalpi's reply.. She was too lost to hear Bhawna's words properly.

"Kalpi... everything will be fine... No one will snatch ur Ria from u. Just trust me." Bhawna tried to support her.

"But I had to go to Ria's school... It's urgent for me." She said disappointedly.

"But u have to come Kalpi... It might be something in our favor... I will try to finish the matter as soon as possible. U can go after that." Bhawna replied.

"Ok... I will be there." Kalpi said before hanging the call and she sits on the bed restlessly.. "Please Raghav... Let me live in the peace. U know what Ria's condition is... missing this meeting means losing Ria's trust and it can have adverse affect on her." She said loudly and closed her eyes... Finally after gather some courage she gets up from the bed and prepares for the court.

@Court

"Hello Mrs. Singhania... I am Dheeraj Shinde... Raghav's new lawyer. From now onwards I will handle this case." A middle aged fat man greeted Kalpi amiably... Kalpi just folded her hands in namaste..

"Mr. Shinde... Why did u want to meet my client outside the court?? N where is ur client Mr. Singhania??" Bhawna came straight to the point. Kalpi looked around to see where Raghav is... She dint want to look at his face but she need to finish it off as soon as possible. But his absence was annoying her.

"He will come soon... By the way, I called u here becoz my client wants to solve this case out of court... MY client is not ready to give divorce to her but for her comfort and to give her sufficient time he is ready for judicial separation and that too for next 6 months... "

"What?? What does ur client think about himself? I.. I want" Kalpi asked in shock.

"Kalpi... Let him complete." Bhawna dint let her complete her words. "And what else ur client wants in this judicial separation??" Bhawna added.

"That's very clever of u Mrs. Kapoor...That's why Mrs. Singhania hired u. Well... definitely my client has 2 conditions for this judicial separation...

1. Mr. Singhania wants the full right to meet his daughter... that is whenever he wants he can come and meet her... Take her anywhere with him. And she can stay with him whenever she wants and ur client won't oppose it.

2. He want Mrs. Singhania to stay at his old flat for next 6 months and he will take care of their financial needs during their stay at the home.

So now this upto ur client whether she wants to settle this case right now or want to fight in the court..."

"Go hell with u and ur client... I want divorce and not judicial separation. Not for a single day I want to live with him... Get it clear Mr... Whatever ur name is." Kalpi roared in a loud voice and stormed out from the lawyer's cabin. Bhawna was surprised at her behavior as she had never seen her so angry. She gets upto to run behind her when the opposition lawyer stops her...

"Let me remind u Mrs. Kapoor... My client is not ready for divorce and in court also he will put the same conditions... In any case court will give him 6 months to mend his relationship with his wife and their they will have to stay under the same roof. So, I think judicial separation is the best option for her. I am waiting for ur reply. U have 1 hour to decide else we will see u in the court."

Bhawna leaves from their angrily. Raghav who was watching them from far was angry on lawyer for talking to Kalpi and Bhawna in such tone but then he remembers his last meeting with the lawyer.

Flashback

Raghav @ his old lawyer Gupta's office.

"Gupta ji... I do not want this divorce at any cost... I need one another chance..." Raghav said to Gupta.

"Mr. Singhania... infidelity is the crime... She can get the divorce easily on this basis." Gupta tried to knock some sense in Raghav.

"I know Mr. gupta it is and that's the reason I dint hide anything from u... I know I have committed a sin but I want one last chance. Do something Mr. Gupta. I know she will never use infidelity as the reason for divorce." Raghav pleaded. Gupta was shocked to see the arrogant Mr. Singhania pleading instead of ordering.

"In that case Mr. Singhania.. we can ask the court for one chance... Court will give u 6 months of time to mend ur relationship with her. U will get counseling sessions from the marriage counselor which u have to attend."

"No.. I do not want to trouble her with this counseling.. It will burden her unnecessarily. Find some other way." Raghav replied.

"u can go for judicial separation Mr. Singhania." Shinde replied who overheard everything while entering.

"Who are u?? N how can u overhear out talks?? Don't u know something called privacy." Raghav asked angrily.

"Mr Singhania... He is Mr. Dheeraj Shinde... I called him here to look at ur case... He is expert in divorce cases and my senior as well." Mr. Gupta intervened and tried to cool down Raghav.

"I am sorry Mr. Shinde... I was just..." Raghav apologized.

"I understand Mr. Singhania... Btw I was telling u that u can go for judicial separation... That is u can stay legally wedded but the cohabitation will be affected. She can stay away from u. Apart from this u can put some conditions in front of her on which she has to agree..." Mr. Shinde said.

"Sounds good... I know what condition I have to put and how to win her back... This is what I wanted... Some distance is truly required to mend the relationships.. She needs space to forgive my mistakes." Raghav said with a hope.

"But Mr. Singhania... I will talk to her in the way I want and u won't interfere in that." Mr. Shinde said.

"But I do not want u to insult her..." Raghav interfered.

"Mr. Singhania... trust me!! Let me do whatever I want." Shinde assured him.

Raghav nodded his head and asked.. "When are u going to talk to her??"

"Not now... first we need to prepone the court date and I will talk to her in the morning of the court date so that her lawyer doesn't get time to find some other way." Shinde replied in a shrewd way.

Raghv felt bad on seeing his cunning smile but he convinced himself saying... "Everything is fair in love and war and I am doing it for my love.. for her and Ria's happiness. In that 6 months.. I will win u back."

Flashback ends.

"I want divorce.." The words of Kalpi echoed in Raghav's mind... He was shocked to see the level of anger she has for him... A tear escaped from his left eye which he wiped as soon and possible and left the place...

Kalpi was sitting on the bench with tears in her eyes... She was not ready to give 6 months to Raghav and wanted freedom from the relationship.. She wants her Ria to move on in her life as soon as possible.. Somewhere the heart of wife was happy that her relationship got saved for next 6 months but the strong woman and mother inside her dint let her heart to cherish those feelings. Bhawna comes and sit by her side... She keeps her hand on Kalpi shoulder... Kalpi look up at her..

"Do we have any other option??" Kalpi asked.

"Infidelity... " Bhawna said in a low tone... Kalpi looked at her in disbelief.. "How do know..." she was unable to complete..

"Maya.." Bhawna lowered her head. "Let's not talk about it... DO u want me to fight this case on basis of infidelity??" She asked.

"No... Ria shouldn't know about this. She won't be able to take it. N don't u dare take Ria's illness as a reason??" Kalpi said in stern voice.

"Ria's illness?? I do not know about it." Bhawna said. Kalpi was shocked on realizing that she blurted the truth she was trying to hide from everyone.. Kalpi tells her everything that happened that night... Bhawna hugs her to console her.

"I am ready for the judicial separation but I do not want to live in that house... Nor I want his financial help. He can spend all his money on his daughter as he has equal rights on her but I am independent woman and I do not want his help." Kalpi said. Bhawna nods his head and goes to meet the lawyer.

Raghav was driving rashly while Kalpi's words were echoing in his mind... He knew that he has hurt Kalpi a lot but he dint expect such bitterness from her side... Her each and every word pierced his heart... His heart was deluged with emotions which were flowing out of his eyes... Finally he stopped at an isolated place, came out of his car n cried his heart out... He dint knew whether the tears were of his guilt or Kalpi's reaction but he was regretting.. regretting for all his mistakes... "Kalpi... I love u. Please give me one chance".. He cried loudly and sat on the floor with his back supported by his car... Some more time he let his tears flow freely.. Finally he felt at peace... His phone rang and he was informed about Kalpi's decision.

"No Shinde... I want her to live at my old flat at any cost. I want her to relive our past. I am ok with her other condition. She will be financially independent." He said on the call and tried his best to not let Shinde know about his emotional breakdown.

"Ok sir. Ur work will be done." Shinde replied before hanging the call... Being a lawyer it was easy for him to understand Rag's emotional state which he was trying to hide. Shinde looked at Bhawna who was waiting for his reply...

"Sorry Mrs. Kapoor... My client is not ready to accept her 1^st condition... She has to live in that old flat of theirs. Actually my client wants her safety nd that's why he is imposing this condition on her. You know he is a big businessman which means he has many rivals... He doesn't want anyone of them to harm her so he wants to keep an eye on her."

"Stop it Mr. Shinde... I am not new in this field... I too know what ur client want. Let me speak to her and I will let you know." Bhawna replied in a stern voice... It was hard for her to believe that a cheater like Raghav is still putting conditions for divorce... "A typical heartless MCP" she said in a low tone before leaving the place which dint go unheard by Shinde. "We man too have heart madam... it's just that we do not show our emotions easily." He said to himself after she left.

Sorry guys but I realized that the chapter is becoming too long and hence I stopped here only. Kalpi's decision will be in next part... I will try to update it as soon as possible. May be today. Sorry for not sending pms... I will send it at the end of the day or may be after the second update.
