Kalpi indulges herself in the books to avoid the memories of past but Raghav... He is finding it difficult to concentrate on work after the first hearing of their divorce case.. Though he was absent in it still the information from his lawyer sank his heart... A pp up comes on his laptop screen showing one new email... He opens it and reads the sender's name "Maya." He downloads the attached photo and looks at it. It's their wedding photo with Maya tying their wedding knot. He smiles remembering the day when Kalpi ran away from her home to marry him and Maya helped them.
Flashback
A boy's family is sitting in Kalpi's home.. Vitthal is telling them about Kalpi and her achievements.. Kamla is as usual making her face and praising Maya.. In her heart she wants the groom to reject Kalpi and accept Maya... Vitthal has found the best guy for her daughter.. Though he is not talking with Kalpi but he still loves her a lot and wants to see her happy and settled in life
Maya is helping reluctant Kalpi in getting ready.. Kalpi looks at her angrily and yells... "What the hell Maya... u r enjoying it...I thought u were my best friend. But... u too have joined the opposite camp."
Maya keeps her arms around Kalpi and tells her to smile.. "U just do as I say.. No more questions... if u trust ur sister than u have to follow me."
"Sweetheart... I can do anything for u... But won't marry that jerk sitting outside..."
"Jerk?? No he is not a jerk... Gold medalist in MBA, working in MNC and getting the hefty pay.. I think he is the perfect husband material.. just not good looking... but let it be ok!!"
"Then u marry him... u know opposite attracts.. n u r duffer.. a struggling model and very beautiful. U guys are exactly opposite."
"No way!! Do not drag me in this marriage business... I am a free bird. First I will become a super moel and than will marry some actor or a big industrialist who won't mind my shopping bills."
"Yes my darling... m sure that u will be a supermodel!! But right now what should I do with this chapadganju!!"
"Just follow my orders.. behave as a perfect daughter and serve food to the guest with ur pretty smile... U know what.. m jealous of ur pretty smile and big eyes... I wish I had features like u."
"N I wish I had fair color like u... I wish too had mom's love."
"Fair color?? Ahh... u r lucky.. u do not have to apply those stupid tan creams.. n u know sweety.. u r the most beautiful girl of the world... mom is blind. Do not bother about her. I know how beautiful my sister is and if u really want to see ur beauty than look into Raghav's eyes. "
Kalpi smiles when they see Kamla entering the room.. Kamla rudely tells, "Ur father is calling u.. apply some powder or ur dusky skin tone." Kalpi nods in agreement while Kamla tells Maya to get ready as well as she wants the guy to see her.. Maya reluctantly agrees and tells Kamla... "Mom.. Kalpi doesn't need powder... her shiny skin and perfectly carved features make her beautiful." Kamla gives a taunting look to Maya and tells them to hurry up.
Kalpi enters the room with a tray while Maya chuckled at her situation. The groom looks at Kalpi who is wearing a red saree with thin gold chain and earrings which her father kept on the table with a note saying wear it today. Her slim waist and a chain tied around it catches the groom's attention but his mother pinches him and whispers.. "She is a blacky." Maya entered at the same time and greets everyone... "She is perfect" Groom's mother tells him... but his eyes is fixed on Kalpi... After some usual talks groom mother leaves saying, "We will call u to tell about our decision."
"They are going to say no to this girl.. The way his mother was staring at Maya... m sure they are going to ask her hand. N dare u reject the offer. This groom is perfect for Maya." Kamla said while giving disgusting look to Kalpi.
"Mom... please keep me out of this!! Neways I want to go to temple for praying for Kalpi. Can I go??" Maya asked her mother.
"Temple and you?? Let me check ur fever." Kamla said while keeping her palm on her head.
"Kamla... let her go!!" Vitthal said while giving an angry glare to Kalpi.
"Baba... can I take Kalpi along??" Maya asked in a sugary voice with flattering eyes... Normally Vitthal smiles on her antics but this time he just nods. Maya drags Kalpi with her.. She picks her bag from the room.
"What the hell Maya... why r u taking such big bag?? We are going temple.. N let me change first." Kalpi said.
"Just shut up and leave..." Maya said and tells driver to take them to the temple.
"What Maya... I can't!! What about baba?? He will be really angry."
"So, r u ready to sacrifice ur love for baba?? U know baba is not going to agree for Raghav at any cost... Do u want to marry some one else??"
"No.. I can't marry someone else.. the thought of someone else touching me shivers me to the core.. but I can't hurt baba."
"Look Kalpi... u have to select today.. either baba or Raghav. Raghav is waiting at the temple with all the preps and baba is waiting at home with one more guy.. Select where u want to go."
Kalpi remembers her father taking her side while her mother scolding her... She sees Vitthal bringing toys for her and singing lullaby.. Taking her care when she was ill... supporting her when she wanted to take arts and the final confrontation she had with him regarding Raghav. She closes her eyes and tears start coming down.. Maya notices it but doesn't utter a word.. she wants Kalpi to take her own decision. Kalpi now remembers her moments shared with Raghav.. The way Raghav said that he is alone after his father's death and Kalpi is her lifeline.. The way he proposed her.. their first date where he gifted her a costly gift after selling his only gold ring and his words, "Kalpi.. I have never felt love in my life... my mom left me when I needed her the most and my father.. he died coz of my mom... But now I feel god gave me all the troubles so that I can realize ur worth. Please Kalpi never leave me." She looks at Maya who is still waiting for her answer... "Raghav.. he needs me. Baba loves me a lot but one day he will accept me but Raghav... he won't be able to survive me."
"Then wipe ur tears and come with me." Maya said while showing Raghav who waiting for Kalpi outside the temple. Kalpi opens the car door and runs towards him... Raghav sees Kalpi coming in the red saree and gets mesmerized on seeing her in the bridal look.. he opens his hand and Kalpi runs into it and hides herself in the broad and strong chest.. Her tears wet his clothes.. He lifts her face and notices the pain in her eyes.
"If u don't want than we won't marry today. I will try to talk to ur baba once again." He said while wiping her tears and placing a kiss on her forehead.
"No Raghav..baba won't agree and I can't live without u.. Let's get married." She replied. His words has given her the strength to go against her father.. the love in his eyes is telling her the importance of her in his life.. She holds Raghav's hand and they climbs the stairs together... Raghav's friend and Maya arranges everything.. They sit at their places... Pandit starts the mantras... Kalpi looks at Raghav's happiness and a smile appears on her face.. Maya ties their wedding knot while his friends takes their pic and video. Raghav holds Kalpi's hand.. She dreams about their future but she remembers her father as well... In the fire of hawan kund she sees her relationship with her father burning.. The rounds ends and they sit back at their place.. Kalpi still seeing her childhood scenes with her father burning in that fire.. Pandit tells Raghav to fill her partition with coin... Raghav does so... kalpi closes her eyes and a tear fell from her eyes.. Raghav wipes it and holds her hand gently and gives her an assuring look. He ties managlsutra around her neck and pandit declares them as husband and wife. He kisses Kalpi on the forehead and she hugs him. Maya clears her throat to catch their attention..
"Common guys... we are in the temple.. Btw congrats jeeju." Maya said.
"Jeeju... sounds good!! But u can call me Raghav... " Raghav replied.
Maya nods in yes and hugs Kalpi saying.. "Congrats my dear sis!! Wait I have a gift for u.. come with me."
Kalpi and Raghav follows her while she takes out a big thermocol heart from her bag and pastes it on Raghav's bike.. "Just married" was written on it. Kalpi smiles on seeing it and Maya tells Raghav to take her to his home.. Few tears appear in her eyes.. Kalpi notices it.. She hugs Maya saying.. "I will miss u. Thanks Maya.. u r the best sister anyone can have. I love u.."
"Liar... if u love me than leave this Raghav for me and come home with me... That home will empty without u." Maya replied while crying.
"I have a better idea... U too come with me as dowry.. One on one offer is not bad."
"Sure Raghav,.. I will surely come to trouble u as I can't live without my sister." Maya said while laughing and tells them to leave.
Flashback Ends
Another email pops up on his laptop and its his photo with Maya in their company event.. The message was attached with it... "Look at ur faces in both pictures... The smile has disappeared in the 2nd one... Make ur mind.. what do u want?? Do u really want to divorce her and if not than go and get her back. She still loves u a lot and will take time to forgive u.. But eventually she will." It was hard for him to read expect such words from Maya after knowing Kalpi well but to his surprise it was true and Maya really sent it.
His secretary, Neha knocks on the door.. He controls his emotions and tells her to come in.
"Sir.. I just came to remind u that u r getting best ceo award today and hence u need to reach the venue at 7 pm."
A naughty smile appears on his face.. "Neha... Don't u think we should celebrate my win.. Let's have party tonight." He said while glancing at Kalpi's photo kept on the table.
"Ok sir.. I will make the arrangements for the party... What will be the venue sir??"
"My home... I want u to go my home right now and arrange for the party...I want it to be lavishing and all page 3 personalities should be there... N yep.. if u want some help than ask my wife.. "
Neha nods and leaves the room telling him that the party will be exactly how he wants it...
Raghav dials his home's number to inform them about the party.. he looks at the watch and realizes that Kalpi will reach home soon. Gauri picks the phone at other end. Raghav's grin disappears on recognizing her voice.. In a rude tone he says.. "Mrs. Singhania, Neha will reach home in half hour.. we have a party tonight and I want Kalpi to make the arrangements.. Tell her that my imp clients will be coming in the party and I want everything perfect. The party will start by 9 pm but before that she has to accompany me to the award ceremony along with Ria so tell her to get ready on time. N I hope Pakhi will be back by evening.. so tell her to be there for the evening."
"Ok beta... I will tell her and I will be ready on time." Gauri replied..
"I do not care whether u will be there on not but I want my wife and sister to be there." Raghav replied rudely.
"Half sister... if u do not want to accept me than do not forget that Pakhi is ur half sister... N she has no relation with ur father." Gauri replied in anger.
"It's u who ditched my father... Pakhi has no fault in it. She is my sister n that's it." Raghav hanged the call and tells himself to calm as this party is for Kalpi and he doesn't need to spoil his mood for that lady who has given him birth.
Gauri too hangs the call.. Kalpi who has arrived there by now has heard their conversation and the sad look on Gauri's face was enough to tell her what Raghav replied at the other end.. She give gauri a pleasant smile while Gauri replies with fake smile and takes out her cell to discuss about some kitty party. It wasn't new for her. She has tried her best to improve their relationship from the day she brought Gauri home with a little Pakhi by her side.
Flashback
Kalpi and Raghav are living a happy life... Raghav is excelling in his career and with Ria being just 2 years old.. Their life has become a fairy tale.. Though Raghav was always busy in his work but he never fails took out time on weekends to spend with his family.. Their economical condition is better than before and all due to Raghav's hard work. Raghav has shared almost everything with her... He told her how his mother left his dad for poverty and had an extra marital affair with some rich guy... And when he was 12 years old.. his father came to know that Gauri is pregnant with that guy's child.. his father was ready to forgive her but Gauri thought it as opportunity to step out of their life and left the home for that guy.. His dad failed to accept this and suffered heart attack.. N few months after the attack he too died...
Today she is going to temple to thank god for giving her a loving husband and a pretty daughter when she sees Gauri praying in the temple.. She recognizes her by the photo she saw in Raghav's old albums.. She takes her blessing by touching her feet.
"Sorry I dint recognize." Gauri said while blessing Kalpi with love.
"I am ur daughter in law.. Raghav's wife." Kalpi said.
An expression of guilt appears on Gauri's face.. She remembers the child Raghav whom she left for her own selfish needs. Kalpi notices the tears in her eyes and asks her the reason for it.. Gauri explains how she misses Raghav and the man for whom she left her husband left him for some other lady.. She with her 15 year old daughter is living in a small home and she is working as teacher in some school. Kalpi feels bad for her and takes her to the home along with Pakhi.
Raghav reaches home late.. He rings the bell... Kalpi rushes to open it but before she can open the door.. Pakhi opened it. Raghav looks at her in surprise.. The little girl's face was charming,,Her twinkling eyes hold his attraction... She addresses him as bhaiya. He gets overwhelmed on listening it and keeps his hand on her forehead. But than he glances at Gauri sitting on the sofa.. His eyes which were full of admiration for the teen girl now had the anger for the lady.. "What is she doing here??" He yelled.
Kalpi calms him and tells him Gauri's story while Gauri sobbing in the background..
"I do not care whether she is with that man or not..he killed my father and I can't forgive her for that.N don't u dare to convince." He shouted at Kalpi. Pakhi gets scared on hearing his loud roar.. She shivers in fear.. Raghav looks at her and calmly tells her.. "Don't be scared darling.. u r still my sister but this lady.. she is not my mother."
"I am still Mrs. Singhania Raghav... I am still widow of ur dad and u dare not talk to me in this way." Gauri shouted at him. Kalpi who has seen guilt in Gauri's eyes was confused about her behavior. The affection she was expecting in Gauri's eyes after seeing Raghav was missing now.
"Bhaiya... but she is my mother.. won't u let us leave here??" Pakhi asked innocently.. Raghav has no reply for him. The innocence in her tone forced him to say yes but he said.. "I am ur brother.. but she is not my mother...u can stay here but tell her not to expect anything from me.. Though for u I will fulfill all my responsibilities as brother. And u.. Mrs. Singhania... Never ever try to show ur right on me." He said while entering his room. Kalpi too follows him and tries to explain the reason for this step but he keeps his finger on her lips and says.. "I know why u did this... I know u want to see me happy.. Though I failed to reunite u with ur family but u want me to reunite with them but please Kalpi... I can't forgive her and do not force me for this." Kalpi nods in yes and hugs him.. EH too hugs her back and closes his eyes to feel her in his arms.

"I wish I could reunite them before leaving the house.. The day when I brought her in the home i wanted to create a happy family.. I wanted her to be part of our family but I dint knew that someday I won't be part of this family." She said while looking at Gauri who is busy at phone.
