I have mentioned it a lot many times,would say it again.

There is a device called TRP metre that is attached to the TV sets of only 8500 homes in India.All the houses are in cities.Villages are not taken into account.40% of the houses are in Mumbai & Delhi.It is mostly in the big cities that the TRP metres have been installed.Only these 8500 households determine TRP although there are millions of TV viewers in India.

These TRP metres keeps a record of the program when a person watches it at the original telecast time.At the end of the week or fortnight the personnel from the agency TAM that calculates TRPs visit the homes where the TRP metres are installed and retrieve the information from the TV set.

And no,Set top boxes do not determine TRP.They were introduced to digitise TV viewing and to cut off the cable operators who consumed a chunk of the subscription fee of the channels,hence their revenues.

Its an open forum. Anybody can make posts and read and comment on them just like you did albeit asking TM not to make posts.

The viewers who have have a history with EMA are upset with the channel, CVs, PH and some of the cast for various reasons, more recently for the injustice done to one of the actors who is responsible for bringing in TRPs. Our anger is towards them not Asha.

@TM asked a legit question, I dont think she meant any disrespect to Asha .

Because they are idiots.Saas bahu drama gets the TRPs.A huge gamily,a villain for no possible reason.leads fall in love,marry someone else,get back together after 300 episodes of incessant plotting and scheming.That's what works.

They should have gone for that rather than a different story like EMA which they eventually turned into any other show around.

If actors were the only reason for trps as many seem to believe then shows like rangrasiya have such pthetic trps and shows like dabh with not so popular and not so good actors wouldnot have highest trps
