Raghav was resting on his bed doing something on Sammy's laptop while Gauri and Kalpi the empty lunch boxes, plates etc... Kalpi was picking up the glass of water placed on the table but due to glass's wet surface it slipped off her hand and while trying to catch it water spilled on her burnt left palm making her hiss in pain..
"What happened Kalpi??", Gauri asked while holding Kalpi's hand which she was jerking it trying to ease the burning sensation.. When Gauri held her hand Kalpi closed it into a fist so that Gauri can't see the burn mark on her palm," Nothing ma.. just water.."..
"Just water does not give you pain.. show me your hand..", Gauri urged to Kalpi while trying to hold her hand.. she opened the fist and, "What is this Kalpi??", Gauri asked.. the round red mark with blisters somewhat gave the idea that it was a burn mark and Gauri being a doctor herself had no problem recognising it... "How did you burn your hand?? And when??".."Ma.. woh.. umm..", Kalpi stuttered trying to find an answer which will conceal the truth as she didn't want neither Gauri nor Raghav who was looking at them while resting in his bed to know what she did..
Gauri placed hand on Kalpi's shoulder and asked," Kalpi.. how did you burn your hand??"... "Coffee!!", Kalpi excitedly said .. successfully suppressing the smile on getting a good bahaana she continued," The coffee machine.. I was not paying attention so some of it spilled.."...
"On palm??", Gauri asked in an accusatory tone making Kalpi mentally smack herself for the lamest excuse ever possible ...Raghav was looking at the duo's interaction.. he was worried and at the same time was confused as to why Kalpi is lying.. "Coffee burn.. on palm??".. He remembered that on the party night she was all fine and then she was full time in hospital.. "then burn??",he thought..
"Umm.. no.. actually .. you know ma that .. (excitedly again) ha.. (back to normal tone) those curtains near the god's idol at home.. they caught fire and in hurry I tried to extinguish it using my hand.. that's when..", and Kalpi let out a breath of relief applauding mentally for the slightly loop-holed excuse which explained the burnt palm.. and to her good luck before Gauri could enquire further the doctor came inside..
"Good afternoon Mr.Singhaania..". Doctor said while coming in.. He smiled at Gauri and Kalpi greeting them too.. "So how are you feeling today", Doc asked while looking at his clipboard.. Raghav placed the laptop on the side table and looked uo to answer the doctor," I'm fine now.. Just minor back pain..".. "Don't worry with time that will be no more..Your reports look good.. luckily there's no damage to any internal organs but you need to take the medicines on time so that we can complete cure the injury..."... "Yes doctor... so when will I be discharged??..", Raghav asked...
Smiling the doctor replied," Mr.Singhaania its not even been a day and you already fed up of the hospital.. I have no problem in discharging you but then you would have to keep a nurse who would give you injection and medicines..."... "I'll be there with him to give meds and all.. ", Gauri said.. "So Mrs.Singhaania you'll just need to complete the paperwork and then he can be discharged ..", the doctor replied..
The door opened and a nurse rushed in, "Dr.Rao there's an emergency in ward no.8".. Immediately the doctor left after which the nurse informed Gauri and Kalpi that the visiting hours will be over in few minutes..
"I'll just go and complete the paperwork..", Gauri excused herself out.. Few minutes later Sammy came back ... "Hi Kalpana", Sammy said greeting Kalpi who was sitting on the couch placed in the ward... Going towards Raghav he asked, " I saw the doc leaving.. so when are you getting discharged??"... "Today.. By the way did you talk to Mr.Kapoor ?? ", Raghav asked... Nodding his head with a smug face Sammy replied,"Yup .. he agreed to meet me today evening... Raghav you..." Before Sammy could complete Raghav cuts in ,"And about the shifting??"
"I've done the arrangements.. And as we discussed I'll talk to aunty.. mom and dad will be there with her there.. and now will you tell me what's going on??"... Sammy asked totally irritated of this annoying suspense.. "Evening Sam..", Raghav replied , well aware of his friend's anoyed gaze he looked away and his gaze softened on seeing Kalpi who was being applied some ointment by the nurse, "I don't want my past to ever come in between our future.. ."..
"The visiting hours are over.. only one person can stay", the nurse informed before leaving .. "Mom will be at the counter..", Raghav said.. "Meet you in the evening.. bye.. (to Kalpi) bye kalpana..".."Bye Sammy sir..", Kalpi replied..

"Ok Maya.. I'll drop Gauri aunty and then on my way I'll pick you up on the way.. Ok bye aunty is here got to go.. see you later.. .. Yes I have told Gauri aunty.. Ok bye..", ending the call with Maya Sammy placed the phone on the dashboard in front while Gauri entered the car apearing all lost.. "What happened aunty??", Sammy asked concerned to which Gauri just shook her head in denial..
After completing the hospital formalities Gauri went to the mandir, "Panditji I wanted to offer this to god.. my son is fine now because of his blessings..", she said while giving the basket with flowers and all to the priest.. The priest took it from her and went inside the room where god's idol was placed..
After few minutes he came back with the basket having prasad and broken coconut and gave it to Gauri.. Taking it from the priest Gauri turned to leave.. before leaving she once again turned and folded her hands in front of god and just when she was about to place her foot on the first step she heard someone calling out to her..
"Maa ji..", she heard the voice again and turned to see who it was because there was no other devotee in the temple.. the young boy came to her and handed her a phone and while catching his breath he spoke.."Thi.. this maybe your daughter's.. umm the girl who was here yesterday night.. she forgot it here..", conveying her thanks Gauri left and while walking towards the steps the young boy and the priest's words fell on her ears," Ha baba.. that girl only.. the one who was praying with her hand over the diya..".. "Surely the guy has done some really great deeds to get such a wife who loves him so much.."..
And with those words it all made sense to Gauri... Kalpi's senseless excuses, her burnt hand..
"Aunty..", Sammy words brought Gauri out of her trance.."We reached..", he said pointing at the gate of Singhaania mansion.. "Raghav has arranged another car to drop you at the farm house.. Mom and Dad would be there with you..", he ended hoping that Gauri doesn't ask him more questions but his hope was crashed soon enough," Sammy.. why don't you both tell me what's going on.. why can't I live with Raghav..??", Gauri asked but in turn she just recieved silence..

"So what's with the hand??", Rqghav asked Kalpi with his eyes glued to the laptop screen.. "Hand.. what hand??", Kalpi tried to dodge the question but when its related to her Raghav always wanted to know everything so he just kept pressing," Ya right what hand.. Mom knows I know and you too know that you lied.. you didn't burn your hand while doing whatever you said in that lame excuse of yours.. atleast learn to give some sensible excuses..", Raghav taunted to which Kalpi just made an O shaped mouth..
"Accha.. my excuse was lame.. then tell me what excuse should I have given..??", not it was Raghav's turn to be tongue-tied .. "Why should I tell you when I'm actually trying to find the truth not to hear an excuse..", he immediately countered..
And before the debate could go any further the nurse came to inform that their car had arrived an it was time to leave.. The nurse helped Raghav take off all the needles and pipes attached to his arm and Kalpi handed him the clothes which Gauri had asked her to bring..
The two left ..After dropping Kalpi at the office Raghav went to Singhaania mansion..

5 pm
Kalpi was busy working when she heard a knock.. "Come in", she said while still engrossed in her work.. "Ms.Varma didn't you take a half day off??", Kalpi looked up at the familiar face.. "Prem actually Sahil Sir wanted me to complete this today.. he said its something urgent.. I'm almost done and will be leaving in a while...", she said..
"Ok fine yaar.. by the way where were you?? I mean Prakash didn't come back yet na??", Kalpi was confused on what to tell him after a tiny thought-process said," Nothing much was not feeling well.. that's it..".. "And what's with your hand??", Prem said poonting at the bandage and just then Kalpi remembered that she had to go to Raghav word's earlier in the morning which buzzed ghe reminder tat she ghad to go to Raghav.. No.. Gauri ma's house.. She glanced at her wrist watch and got up with her hand on her forehead.. ONE HOUR LATE..
"What happened??", Prem asked confused at her sudden startling ," Umm.. nothing.. just its late na.. I.. I won't get bus..", she blurted out..."Kalpi I'll drop you.. now sit.. I have some work..", Prem picked the file he had placed on the adjacent chair but then suddenly he said," Or leave it.. lets go.."..
Packing all her stuff Kalpi went with Prem... discussing about work they left Kalpi's cabin and went downstairs..they were now walking outside the elevator on the ground floor when Kalpi saw Raghav coming in their direction.. She glanced at Prem who was saying something looking at a file oblivious to everything..
On not getting any answer from Kalpi Prem looked up and saw her looking in front and he saw Raghav standing mid way.. "Arey Raghav..(On noticing the bandage on head and few bruises on face) Dude.. What happened to you??"..." Long story .. Actually I came to inform you that Sahil uncle has asked to get these documents to the lawyer..", Raghav said while handing him the folder.. "Now?? I mean its 8.45 ..", Prem said..
Raghav- "He said its urgent and confidential too.."
Prem- But I had to drop Kalpana..
Raghav- Its ok I'll drop Ms.Varma.. this work is more important..
Left with no other option Prem went in his car and Raghav-Kalpi in Raghav's.. Raghav was sitting in the front seat completely ignoring Kalpi while she kept fidgeting her fingers nervpusly well aware of Raghav's disliking towards her being with Prem..
In about half an hour they reached Singhaania mansion.. Maya and Sammy were already waiting for the two.. After finishing dinner all four were now sitting in the living room.."Ok so now tell us about your plan", Sammy said the frustration quite evident in his voice..
And finally Raghav started with the narration...
Sorry to stop here but time problems.. Its a big plan woth fbs and all so need some time to type it.. And now on I'm focussing on this story only coz its nearing the end(I know I'm saying this from long time but it is really) And its really difficult for me to write some other story with this one so the TS's would be updated after I finish this one..
Just a glimpse to what will be happening..
Gauri looks at her son's photo frame and says, "Raghav, son, I just hope this anger of yours towards Kapoors won't burn your relation with Kalpi.. She loves you a lot.."
"Sir..", ignoring her Raghav went straight to his room..
