Read all your ffs together and commented on all three. Kalpi reliving the memories through her diary, her best friend. Ayaan wants to read the diary. How can she let him? Why would Raghav let go of her? What happened between them? I don't think he knows about Ayaan. The bickering between Piya and Ayaan was cute. Hope to know about their past soon.

Hello everyone! Here's chapter 3... long diary entry in this one... hope u like it...

Chapter 3

"Piya... I guess we will have to prepone our visit a bit..." Kalpana told Piya after returning home.

"Prepone it?But why?"

"Well, I just found out I have to go for a meeting in Mumbai after two weeks... so we can deal with these personal problems then only... and..."

"And what?"Piya asked.

"And he will be there too..."

"Raghav will be at the meeting!" Piya said, shocked. "But... that means..."

Kalpi drew a deep breath. "What? What does it mean? It means... I'll have to face him, and that's exactly what I want to do! I have to face him, face him again and again till I don't feel anything looking at him!" Kalpi breathed hard, fighting the tears that were struggling to come out. No Kalpi, you didn't cry when he broke you, then why should you cry now? Don't let those tears fall and give him the satisfaction of still affecting you!' She repeatedly told herself.

"Ok... but-but it'll be difficult, so - "

"I'm already prepared for it..."

"Ok then... anyways, Ayaan is waiting for you, he'll kill me in his anger if you don't go to him quickly..."

"Why is he so angry?" Kalpana asked, worried.

"Don't know... ask him... he's upset about something..."

Kalpana rushed to Ayaan, to find him sitting near the foot of the bed, clearly upset.

"Ayaan..." she sat down beside him and pulled him into a hug. He started crying. "What happened to my baby? Why is he so upset? Tell me na...Won't you tell your mom?"

"Mom..." he said through tears. Kalpana consoled him. He slowly stopped crying and told Kalpana what happened.

"T-today we had gone to a park, a big park... and I got lost."

"What? But how? Are you ok?"

He nodded, "Ma'am found me and scolded me a lot. My friends started teasing me, they said I'll get lost again and no one will find me... not even you..."

"Shhh... don't cry... don't cry... listen to me..." She made Ayaan look at her.

"No matter what happens, your mom will always be with you... she will not let you go anywhere..."

"Promise?"

Kalpana smiled and said, "Promise." Ayaan also smiled.

"Now go wash your face!"

Ayaan nodded and got up, but Kalpana called him back.

"I also want a promise..."

"Yes I promise I'll be with you always..." Ayaan said immediately.

"No, no, not that... I already know will be with me always... I want you to promise, that if you make such a promise to someone, you will fulfil it for sure. Promise?"

Ayaan nodded, "Promise!"

25th June, 2001 Monday

Dear Diary,

Today was a super fun-filled day! You wouldn't believe what Raghav did!

After school, we had gone for a stroll in the neighbourhood, no need to ask what for, you know our favourite occupation - Mischief Making.

So let's start with today's list - we were passing a bicycle parking, so we decided to practically show everyone the domino effect and pushed one cycle a bit, due to which all the cycles fell down one by one. Then as we didn't have enough money, Raghav distracted the owner of the bakery while I picked up some muffins and put them in my bag. I don't think the owner noticed.

We were just leaving for our favourite spot when Raghav noticed someone parking a bike he likes a lot. He quietly went and picked his pocket. That man didn't even realize when his bike was gone. Don't worry, he will get his bike back, we made sure that was so. We ourselves went to the police and gave the keys after enjoying our ride, we just forgot to mention the fact that it was us who stole it.

Anyways, we went to the beach, our favourite spot and had our usual fun.

I sometimes think of telling you, but don't understand how to phrase it... but today at the beach, the words had automatically formed when I expressed my feelings to Raghav. Looking at the endless sea ahead and the endless sky above, I get only one feeling... to fly into the sky like a bird, to keep flying until I reach that horizon... the sky, or the sea, both can be compared with our dreams... the sky is endless, just like our dreams... we wish to fly, to attain the heights of sky, just like we wish to attain our dreams.Maybe that is why they say dream big, the sky is the limit... but I can also compare our dreams to the sea... for one, it is also endless... and for another, it has waves, which would always push you back or lead you in a wrong direction, just like in the path of realizing our dreams, we face numerous difficulties, and have to cross them to finally live our dream...

Coming to what you must be wondering, what my dreams are... well, I don't know yet... I don't know what I dream to be, to have... maybe someday I will realize what my dreams are and that day I'll set out to fulfil them...

You know what Raghav said then, he told me that when that day comes, he will help me fulfil my dreams and support me throughout... He really is the best friend one can ever have...

I really look forward to the day I realize what my dreams are...

But till that day, I just know that one day I will fulfil that unknown dream no matter what happens.

P.S. - Maybe you're wondering (Coz I did too) that what if I don't have any dreams?

Nah, that's not possible... everyone has that one dream they wish to live... wish, wish to this extent that they can do anything to fulfil that dream... I don't have one right now, but I'm sure I'll have such a dream one day...

Kalpana looked at those words written by her, Raghav's voice ringing in her ears... "I will always support you, Kalpi... no matter what happens, I'll always be there for you... No matter who supports you in your dream and who doesn't, I will be there, helping you to realize it..."
