Yes, one little thing - this update doesn't have RagNa 😛 coz right now the story is focusing on Suman-Sumita relations n past.
Let's see if you like it even though there's no RagNa 😳 ..
Chapter 14 - The Sisters
The sisters immediately hugged each other. Though the were of the same age, it was clearly visible who was elder - while Sumi's hold showed dependence, Suman's hold was protective.
Suman came to her senses and pushed Sumi away.
"Su-Suman..." Sumi said.
Suman completely ignored her and turned to Prem, who was standing as a silent spectator.
"Let's go Prem... It's late, your family must be worried..."
Prem didn't move an inch, just observed her. She was avoiding eye contact, trying to hold back her tears. On receiving no response from him, she turned to go alone, but was stopped by Sumi.
"Suman please... Just listen to me once..."
"There's nothing left top say and hear anymore, Ms Sumita Ahuja... You ensured that the last time we met..." Suman proceeded to leave, but was again stopped by Sumi.
"Suman just one chance... Just let me speak once..." Sumi tried to reason with her.
"Go look in a mirror and speak, because I'm not here to listen..."
"Suman please!"
Suman flared up.
"I also said please! I also pleaded you top listen once, to stop... Did you listen? Did you stop?"
Sumi stayed mum.
"So why are you expecting that from me today? You ruined our relationship, now face the consequences..."
And she walked off, not stopping to Sumi's pleas and sobs.
Sumi broke down and fell on her knees, sobbing. Pakya put his hands around her shoulders and tried to console her.
Prem gave a confused look at Sumi, and then followed Suman.
Walking on the street, Suman was also crying. On hearing Prem call her from behind, she hurriedly wiped her tears and tried to put up a normal face.
"What was all that? And are you... crying?" Prem said, confused and surprised.
"No! Why would I cry?" Suman tried to act normal, but her red tinted eyes, breaking voice and occasional sniffs didn't go unnoticed by Prem.
"Look" Suman tried to explain "things are... complicated... And I'm not in a state to explain right now... Let's talk some other day, okay?"
Prem could understand her state of mind, so agreed.
"Okay... Let's go now..."
Suman shook her head.
"You go ahead... I'll be coming in a while..."
Though reluctant, Prem decided to let her be alone for some time. "Okay..."
Meanwhile, Pakya was trying to console Sumi, but she was sobbing endlessly.
"It's okay... I'm here..." he murmured.
Sumi hugged him for comfort. Pakya reciprocated. He stroked her back to comfort her.
After some time, Sumi felt a little better and broke the hug.
"We have... We have to find her..." she said.
"Pakya, I need to find her, I don't know where she is and what she'll be doing... I have to talk to her..."
"Okay, its okay, relax... We'll find her..." Pakya said.
Meanwhile, Suman was in a bar, drinking away. Tears flooded her eyes as she remembered her sisters words the last time they saw each other.
At the same time, she felt fury... How could Sumi have done this to her? Such a big betrayal! And she still expects a chance to explain...
She threw the glass in anger. The bartender looked at her in shock.
"Another one" she commanded.
At that very moment, Sumi burst in, Pakya at her heels.
"Suman! What the hell are you doing?" She immediately shouted.
"What the hell are you doing? Here?" Suman mumbled.
Sumi rushed to her and tried to get her in control.
"I thought you followed a no drinking policy..." she muttered angrily.
"I did, before you left..." Suman mumbled, smiling idiotically. "Things changed after that..."
Sumi felt bad, but ignored her.
"Okay, now get in your senses... Let's go..." Sumi said. Suman immediately jerked her off.
"You left na... so leave me today also... I can take care of myself, and you along with me... But since you don't need my care anymore, we should stay away..."
She tried to walk, but lost her balance and fell.
"Suman!" Sumi rushed to her.
"Leave me..." Suman said, jerking her off.
She tried to walk again, but collided with a chair and fell down. Sumi caught hold of her in time.
"Let's go" Sumi said to Pakya, while holding Suman straight. Suman tried to resist, but in vain.
They were going outside, when the bartender stopped them.
"Ma'am, you haven't paid for your drinks."
"Oh, ok... One minute..." Sumi said, proceeding to pay, but was stopped by Suman.
"The times are not so bad that you would have to pay for me... And I'll ensure that such times never come..." Suman declared while taking out the money to pay.
Sumi felt hurt, but decided not to say anything. "She's not in her senses... It would be a bad step to argue with her..."
Sumi and Pakya half carried her outside.
"Where are you taking me?" Suman asked.
"To my home. We will live there from now." Sumi replied.
"Excuse me? And who exactly gave you the right to decide for me? And get one thing clear, girl, there's no 'we'! Got it?" Suman shouted. "And for your information, I live with the Kapoors, so drop me there..."
"Ok... ok..." Sumi gave in.
They took an auto to go to the Kapoor mansion.
When they were a little away, Suman asked to stop there.
"Wait, Suman, how will you go there alone?" Sumi shouted after her worryingly as Suman wobbled forward.
"Don't worry, I'll reach ' safely'... I know how to take care of myself... You go home." Suman said without looking back, and walked on towards the house.
Sumi waited till she was safely inside, and then left with Pakya.
Ok, warning in advance, next update will also be about the sisters 😳 but who knows, I may take a leaf out of the CVs book n give a RagNa carrot 😉 😆
I hope this one wasn't short 😳 typing from mobile, so things do tend to get shorter 😆
