The TWIST that we were all waiting for!!!

So I guess the real twist isn't that Raghav married Paakhi and then became a polygamist by 'marrying' Kalpi...

The real twist is that the main character of the show "Kamla Maa" is the true antagonist! They built her up as this person who helps anyone and everyone, even those she doesn't know, but neglects her own family. Though the people who love Kalpi saw what a horrid mother Kamla was from the start, I think the creative team thought they were hiding that fact from us. Kamala always preferred the daughter she didn't give birth to, over the daughter that was biologically hers. Kamala then justified it by saying that she was trying to make Kalpi "STRONG" which is a load of crap!
And now Pakhi is legally married to Raghav and Kalpi is spiritually/emotionally married to him. Though the spiritual/emotional marriage would be valued to anyone with half a brain, Kamla still thinks that Pakhi deserves Raghav b/c Pakhi is wearing a mangalsutra and sindoor that Raghav didn't even put there...hahaa It doesn't matter that Raghav already said he is going to divorce Pakhi and made Kalpi his in front of God; the same God who Kamla turns to for every small thing.
Since I went back and watched old episodes to catch up on the back-story, the pen incident has been stuck in my head. Raghav's heart is now the damn pen from 10 years earlier. Like that pen that Raghav gave to Kalpi, Pakhi will want it and will throw tantrums and break things until she gets her way. However, just like the pen that he gave her, Raghav and his heart rightfully belong to Kalpi in every which way. Even after Raghav told Kamla that he married Kalpi in front of God and made her his wife, Kamla still has the audacity to tell Kalpi that only Pakhi has a right to the sindoor that Raghav placed on Kalpi's head. Kamla did the exact same thing when she guilted Kalpi into giving up her pen and said she would get her other pens. No matter what she does or promises she makes, Kamla will never be able to find a replacement for Raghav Singhania in Kalpi's life. Kalpi better not let Kamla strong-arm her into giving up her happiness for Pakhi!
As far as Raghav goes, he should never have made that ridiculous marriage to Pakhi legal. As brilliant as I believed this character was from the beginning, he let me down with this whole marriage to Pakhi. Getting the Kapoor's to sign over their property was like taking candy from a kid, so why even marry Pakhi!?! The Kapoors never read the paperwork so he could have all the assets and he could have staged the entire marriage by paying off the person officiating. This way he can torture the kapoors and Pakhi, by letting them think he married her, but not get himself get caught up in this mess legally. I mean he is Raghav Singhania! He could have used the brain in that gorgeous head of his, but no... Now he is legally married to Pakhi and can never make a totally CLEAN break. When they get divorced she'll get some of his assets unless he already signed over everything to his mother or Kalpi. Only then can he escape having to pay alimony or give Pakhi anything of significance.
Even though I want to hit Pakhi upside the head on most days, I still feel slightly bad for her. I think that Kamla is her biggest problem. Kamla keeps telling Pakhi to win Raghav's love and crap while Raghav is clearly telling Kamla that he loves Kalpi and wants nothing to do with Pakhi. If Kamla was a real mother to either girls then she would try and fix it so at least 1 of her 2 daughters is happy instead of letting both be miserable. However, she is so dumb that she is digging a bigger hole by keeping Raghav and Kalpi away from one another and shoving Pakhi down Raghav and Gauri's throats... Someone get me a shotgun!!!!!!
As I said before, we all know where this is headed. Now that Kalpi and Raghav consider themselves married in the eyes of the Lord, Kamla will try to make Kalpi give Raghav up so Pakhi can have him. 10 years earlier she handed that pen over to Pakhi, but I'm hoping that Kalpi is no longer the little girl who gives up the things she loves just because she doesn't want to see her mother disappointed. With all the things Kalpi has accomplished in her life, it still has not been enough for Kamla. She still demands Kalpi give things up when it comes to Pakhi's happiness. That isn't a real mother...
Dumla maa claims that her daughter is her pride, but doesn't hesitate to let her drown in the name of building strength and character. Too bad she never let Pakhi drown. We could have avoided all of this nonsense and even if Pakhi was somehow rescued, she may not have been the blundering idiot who doesn't know when and where she isn't wanted! That's Kamla Maa's upbringing and Kalpi should thank her lucky stars that Vithal and Pakhya raised her b/c she has turned into such a wonderful young woman, NO thanks to Kamla who constantly tries to take credit for her upbringing when she wasn't even around...hahaha
So after 200 episodes it should be clear to everyone with common sense that Kamla is the antagonist and this is the real twist! Neetu and Sahil were just in there to throw us off, but we're smarter than that. Those murderers have nothing on our very own Kamla Maa!!! Kamla Maa is the best villian I've ever seen and all the credit goes to that creative team who thought to make Kamla 'the wolf in sheep's clothing'...
And since I'm a glutton for punishment, I guess I'll keep watching to see how much more damage Kamla can possibly cause in Kalpi's life! In addition to that torture, I'm hoping we get to see Raghav and Kalpi together in spite of Raghav having to house Pakhi for the time being...

Well done!! Beleive it or not, last night I was actually feeling guilty that I was one among the numerous fans who r criticising Kamla...In my head, afterall how would a mother react...it was a quite normal reaction in yesterday's episode!! and I was goin 2 post on that too!! But ur post has shown me a diff perspective altogether!! I feel sorry 4 Kamla 4 being torn between her two daughters!! It will be hurtful, but the sooner she wakes up from her dream, the better...If khi is crying now, its bcos Kamla is adding to her delusions!! I think Kamla should call the trio (Rag/Kal n the other girl) for a serious chat...lay out the cards in plain sight.Afterall they r adults...Let them decide for themselves!! Khi would hav 2 face the bitter truth, Rags should realise he must choose love at the earliest!!

Nice post . Kalpi is no more a little girl who will give up and it's not a pen it's her life . She will fight back Kamala for her rights .
Raghav mistake is marrying Pakhi legally which doesn't go well with character or show .

I would like to point out something here regarding the pen episode I guess u missed watching how kamla after making kalpi give the pen to paakhi did a drama with the other maid and made paakhi realize how it feels when u give away your rightful thing to others.so guys though melodramatic kamla is a good woman and yes this story is about kamla a domestic worker who for her daughters good future works hard. Which mother wishes bad for her child, even kamla does not wish bad for her daughter that's why the reaction and yes serial hai to drama Zara zyada he hoga na.
And yes it happens that we ask our children to sacrifice.as a mother even I do so be it a small pen .i ask my son to give it to his friend and the believe me the good deed is returned and one more thing MOTHERS are hyper when it comes to their kids. She is apprehensive about most of the things which the kid does.well all our mothers do that don't they.
I know post Rhoda lamba hogaya may be kamla's aatma got into me.😉
Oh and by the way this does not mean I support kamla or any character for that matter .i am just analyzing the characters and their behaviou

many may not agree with me but it's true Kamala as a mother did what any one would do. She know kalpi will be called gold digger and names for marrying a married man . She knows it's will defame kalpi and her family and their surrounding will go against them.
Pakhi being legal wife wouldn't face such issues and this bothers Kamala more for kalpi's future.

😆 I read the title and thought to myself. ... not another twist. All of us are twisted out of shape waiting for the darn twists Zee claimed was coming up.
Tada... finally you revealed the ultimate twist.

Kamla is the antagonist 😆

As you mentioned, glad Kalpu was raised by Vitthal and not Kamla. Look how the one Kamla raised turned out.
I want to ask for someone who is proud of her upbringing and values instilled in Pakhi, why she never taught Pakhi to treat her mom with respect and call her mom?

Also noticed how she advices Pakhi but lets her take her own decision where as Kamla has no faith in Kalpi's decision making or her values. She always forces her to do as she says. For shame.
I do feel bad for Pakhi. Her positivity was sweet to watch in the beginning but now it's clear its not positivity but being delusional. She is partly to blame for the mess she is in and Kamla aided and abetted her delusions. I have mentioned several times Pakhi and Kamla are the two worst written positive characters on TV.
About Raghav and Rakhi marriage... ranted enough for weeks. To start the Rakhi marriage track, all characters and story line had been butchered beyond redemption and logic has been sent on permanent vacation.
I can't believe it's the same show I started watching 3 months ago.

Raghav what do I say about him ? He is an idiot . He is stubborn and does not think before he acts.the cv's have shown him to be a split personality I guess one side is shrewd and intelligent and the other side he is shown to be a one who is carried away in a situation and becomes fickle minded .
What can I say cv's character so they know better.

I very well support ur views...thats why Raghav shud legalize the marriage with Kalpi ASAP!! Give divorce to the other girl in secrecy without letting Gauri know...Let Gauri stay in delusion that RAKHI still exists!!😊...As it is , the cvs need sum1 or the other to stay deluded...so Gauri wud be the best option as she is not so irritating as Kamla and her "daughter"!!

I must have missed the drama that was enacted afterwards. I was watching these older episodes online so I haven't seen all of them. I just went back to the younger ones of Kalpi/Pakhi to see the dynamics with Kamla. Thanks for mentioning it b/c now I'll totally have to go back and catch that episode. 😊
And yes, I agree that we ask our children to sacrifice things for others. So I'm always asking the 4 yr old to give up his toys to keep the 2 yr old from throwing a tantrum. A few months back my sister pointed out that asking the 4 yr old to give up his toy may seem easier b/c he is older, but at the end of the day he is still a child and cannot be the one always sacrificing his things for his brother who is whining to get his way. My sister totally had a point and even though we ask kids to sacrifice things, it should never be anything more than a toy and only for a little while. I've made it easier by trying the whole 'sharing is caring' line on him so he realizes that this is normal and that these things are still his. He still doesn't get it though and I'm sure it's b/c he is still so young.
How Kamla reacted today, I'm sure most mom's who didn't know the full-story would have reacted the same way. However, I think that as a mother to 2 children she shouldn't differentiate which she has been shown doing ever since I've been watching. She neglects Kalpi and either does not realize it or just cares too much about Pakhi to worry. I love both the 4 yr old and 2 yr old in equal amounts, but the little one is slightly clingy and needs more attention so I feel bad that the older one sometimes gets the shorter end of the stick. And that's why I've made it a point to spend one-on-one time with the older one. We'll go to the mall to have dinner and watch a movie, go golfing since he loves it, or we'll just go to chuckie cheese so he can play some little kiddie games. I do that a few times a month b/c I don't want to ever have him feel less important than his brother. And as far as being hyper, I totally understand that one... 😆 I've had no real fears in life until 4 years ago and now there are 2 perfect little people that I would sacrifice my existence for. I'm sure every woman who has children or even nieces/nephews feels the same way. There isn't anything we wouldn't do to keep them safe and happy.
Back to the show -
I think everything we do is trial and error and no one is perfect, but aside from her reaction to this whole marriage bit I think in showing Kamla's greatness for social causes, her need to give a better life to her daughter, and her love for Pakhi, the creative team has inadvertantly made Kamla seem like a negligent mother to her biological child. Even if Pakhi were her own blood, Kamla would still be neglecting Kalpi in ways that she is oblivious to.
Oh and no worries about defending characters b/c everyone has a right to like a character or hate them. I don't completely hate Pakhi, but the rest of the universe seems to. 😆 I feel bad for her and if you are right about that additional to the pen scene then maybe Pakhi will be the one to step aside b/c she will realize that Raghav's heart was never hers and like the pen it belongs to Kalpi. That would make more sense than keeping her in a delusional state or at least in a state of denial. However, being a mother Kamla isn't doing Pakhi any favors by feeding into her delusions which she is clearly doing when she knows the entire truth.
